What it looks like – chapter 12

Haku blinked as he slipped into the clearing hesitantly. Slowly blinking again he ran his gaze over the clearing. It looked a lot like a tornado had touched down. Which was odd as the weather had been clear the nights before, and the damage was clearly fresh.

His eyes widened as he realized that the odd colored lumps on the ground were in fact people. The three genin from Konoha Zabuza-sama had had an encounter with a few days earlier.

The three of them had wound up sleeping in the crater. Sakura and Sasuke having falling in at some point in separate attempts to rescue their blonde teammate. It made an odd sight the three of them sprawled together covered in dirt, burses, and the occasional cut.

Lifting a hand to cover his mouth Haku did his best to muffle the giggle he felt bubbling up as he watched the blonde at the bottom of the pile try to flip over only to succed in forcing the pink haired girls elbow into his own stomach.

"Ow…" the blonde groaned out as he cracked an eye open to see what he was being attacked by. His eyes widened at the sight of his teammates sprawled haphazardly on top of him.

Haku couldn't help but giggle some more at the blondes expression. Naruto's eyes snapped up to locate the sound as a blush rose up to cover his cheeks. "This isn't what it looks like!" The blonde stammered out even as Haku gave up hiding his mirth and laughed softly.

Naruto gaped at the other boy, his face scarlet red before shaking his head and attempting to free himself.

"Oi…" Sasuke groaned lifting his head to blink tat the blonde he was sprawled across.

His brow furrowed at the pink head resting on his shoulder before his eyes slowly got bigger and bigger as the sleep cleared from his brain.

"Gah!" the normally composed shinobi exclaimed scrambling to get out from between his teammates.

"Ump…wha?" Sakura mumbled as she was rolled off her 'pillow' in the raven's struggle.

Sasuke sat on his knees facing away from the other two and grumbled out "We will never speak of this again."

"It never happened." Naruto agreed his face solemn.

Sakura blinked still half asleep and said "What never happened?...What are you two taking about?"

Haku gasped for air between giggles and said "Ah but you three looked good together. It was cute."

"It was not cute!" Naruto and Sasuke yelled at the brunette in unison their faces Scarlett with embarrassment.

Sakura blinked as the situation finally dawned on her and slapped a hand over her mouth to muffle her own laughter It was unsuccessful as she found herself now the focus of her teammates.

Naruto crossed his arms over his chest and pouting said "Not you too Sakura-chan!"

Sasuke scowled at the pink haired girl refusing to join his blonde teammate in pouting he shook his head and stood up. Dusting off his shorts he made his way up the embankment to stand before the now quit Haku.

He ran onyx eyes over the smaller male before saying "Ohyio…."

Haku nodded his head slightly and said "Ohyio, you and your friends should not make a habit of sleeping outside. You will catch colds."

"Nahhhhh…colds are for people who aren't me." Naruto said as he trudged up the edge of the crater, Sakura following behind fussing with her cloths and hair. First impressions were important…and she was sure she looked a mess.

Sasuke rolled his eyes and said "Hmmmm ignore the baka, he tends to sprout nonsense."

Naruto huffed and said "I do not! I'll have you know I've never had a cold in my life!" crossing his arms over his chest as he pouted once more.

"Ohyio, I'm Haruno Sakura nice to meet you." Sakura said introducing herself having given up on making her hair look any more normal then bed head.

Haku blinked at this odd assortment of genin, they were most definitely not what he had expected. Smiling softly at the group he replied to the pink haired female "Ohyio Haruno-san, I am Haku."

There we go…so yeah short…but I really enjoyed this one…hehe putting them in awkward positions is just too much fun…an now I'm off to chapter 13
