Late – chapter 14
Kakashi narrowed his one visible eye. Glancing around he quickly took stock of everything. After a brief sparing of words with the missing nin the one Zabuza had called Haku had lured Sasuke off into the mist.
The silver haired jonin had no time to worry about his dark haired student as the mist had thickened even more obscuring the assassin from his sharp gaze.
His pink haired student was posed in front of Tazuna. Kunai griped tight in her hand. She had improved a lot since leaving the academy but Kakashi had little doubt she wouldn't stand a chance against the assassin in the mist.
Shifting his gaze back to were the shadow of Zabuza had last been the jonin lifted his head band up to revel his red spinning Sharingun. He shifted his gaze threw the mist once more with his improved vision.
…with Sasuke…
"Stupid baka…always taking his sweet time." Sasuke grumbled under his breath as he dodged another barrage of sinbon.
Haku lifted an eyebrow behind his mask as his dark haired opponent continued to mumble under his breath. He was starting to suspect the Uchiha prodigy was perhaps…not…quit…sane…
…with Naruto…
Naruto bit his lip as he continued to tap his fingers against his leg…he didn't remember it taking this long for him to have to rescue Tsunami and the brat the first time…but then again the first time he had run halfway to the bridge before finding the slaughtered boar and racing back…
But hell if they didn't show up soon he was going to say to hell with it and hunt the punks down and say screw not screwing with things…hell they'd be messing with the time line in all kinds of ways in just a few hours.
So really did a few minuets make that much of a difference? So thinking the blonde stood up with a grimace. "Stupid asleep legs…" he muttered as his numb legs protested rather loudly.
He blinked as a shout rang out from down stairs…we'll that figures he thought to himself shaking out first one leg then the other as more shouting echoed threw the once quite house.
…back with Sasuke…
The dark haired boy had developed a bit of a twitch. Late, the blonde was now late! Knowing his brother as he did he figured the baka had shown off or something equally as stupid. Needless to say the onyx eyed boy was not pleased, not pleased at all.
"Yo!" The very blonde the Uchiha had been cursing said as he finally made his appearance a big goofy grin plastered on his face.
Sasuke's ee twitched once more before he calmly walked up to his brother and promptly slamed his fist into the blondes stomach.
"Uf!" the blonde wheezed out cradling his stomach.
"Your late baka…" Sasuke growled down at the blonde.
"Yeah, sorry Bout that…" the blonde responded straining up.
Sasuke rolled his eyes before turning back to were Haku stood frozen inside the mirrors "Whatever…lets get on with this already…" he muttered out narrowing his eyes.
..with Kakashi…
The silver haired joining smirked as he continued to spin his scroll, the mist nin prattling on and on from somewhere in the fog. The missing nin was right about one thing thought, soon it would all be over. One way or another. Kakashi had no idea just how right he was, and no idea just how different and ending it would be from what he expected.
…absently in Konoha Kyubi realized he'd forgotten to tell the silver haired jonin about the plans of his sons…well he was sure the copy nin would be just fine…probably…
