Chapter 28: No More Nice Girl

A week passed and Rae and Olivia had gotten into a routine. They alternated between their apartments and adjusted as needed when Olivia had to work long shifts. Tonight was one of those nights that she had to cancel their dinner plans to work on a case. Rae was in bed when she woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She looked at the clock to see it was just after one in the morning. She reached over to the night stand and grabbed her phone, answering without looking at the caller id.

"Hello" she said with a yawn.

"Hey, I'm sorry I woke you" Olivia said hearing the sleep on Rae's voice. She knew Rae always said to call no matter how late it was but she felt bad for interrupting her sleep. Rae sat up in bed upon hearing Liv's voice. "No, its ok. Are you still working?"

"No. I'm outside your door" Rae got up and padded to her front door. She unlocked and opened it to find Olivia standing there with a bag in her hand. She smiled and hung up the phone as her girlfriend stepped into her apartment. She closed and locked the door and turned to Olivia. She put her head back and poked out her lips. Olivia chuckled, leaning down to kiss her girlfriend. Once their kiss ended, Rae took Olivia by the hand and led her to the bedroom. Rae climbed into bed while Olivia changed into her pajamas before joining her. They scoot in close to each other, Olivia wrapping Rae up in her arms and resting her chin on top of her head. Rae relaxed into Olivia and began drifting off to sleep.

"I'm glad you came over" she said practically asleep. Sometimes if Olivia thought it was too late she would just go home and call Rae the next day. "Me too" Olivia kissed Rae on top of her head before joining her in a deep slumber.

Rae's alarm went off at seven thirty waking both her and Olivia. She reached over and grabbed her phone and hit the snooze button before turning over and closing her eyes again. Olivia sat up on the bed and looked over at Rae who didn't look like she wanted to get up any time soon.

"Rae. You have to get up" she said shaking her lightly. Rae reached back and swatted Olivia's hand away and groaned. Olivia laughed and shook her head deciding to let her sleep a little longer. She figured she better get in the shower before Rae got up or else they might be late getting out of the apartment. She got up and grabbed her bag taking it into the bathroom with her. She took a quick shower and was standing at the sink brushing her teeth when the door opened. Rae stood there for a moment staring at her still wrapped in her bath towel before walking over and beginning to brush her own teeth. Olivia starting to get dressed as Rae undressed for her shower. She turned on the water and stepped in the standing only shower and shut the door behind her. Olivia stared at her through the clear glass as she lathered her skin with soap, rethinking her earlier decision to shower on her own. She was about to take her clothes back off and join her but Rae seemed to be reading her mind.

"No. We don't have time" she said. She saw Olivia staring at her out of the corner of her eye. Then when Olivia's hands went to the hem of her shirt, she knew what she was planning to do.

"We can be quick?" Olivia said slightly asking.

"You and I both know that if you get in here, it won't be quick" Olivia knew she was right. She liked to take her time with Rae's body. She deserved to be worshipped and that's exactly what Olivia intended to do.

"Fine" she said disappointed. She grabbed her clothes off the floor and put them in her bag. "I'll go make coffee" she said before dragging herself to the kitchen.

Rae walked into the kitchen about fifteen minutes later. She looked at the clock and it was just five minutes after eight. Olivia had made toast with peanut butter for Rae, remembering that she didn't like jelly, and left it on the counter for her. She took a bite and grabbed her coffee mug from the cabinet. She was pouring her coffee when she felt Olivia's arms wrap around her waist and light kisses on her neck. "Olivia, don't start" Rae warned. She placed the coffee pot back on the burner and began to fix up her coffee the way she liked it.

"What?" she said innocently. "I'm not doing anything" She continued to place soft kisses on her neck and shoulders. She moved Rae's hair to the side and found the spot behind her ear that drove her crazy and lightly sucked. Araeyah couldn't help the moan that escaped. She relaxed into Olivia, feeling her hands creep under her sweater to touch her bare skin. Olivia moved her lips away from her neck and Rae snapped back to reality. Olivia started to move her hands higher under Rae's shirt searching for her breasts when Rae reached up and pulled them down. She turned to face Olivia and gave her a scolding look.

"Olivia, you need to be leaving for work" she said still holding her hands to keep her from touching. Olivia started pouting and pulled out of Rae's grasp. She pulled her into her and planted a kiss on her lips.

"But I have plenty of time" she said. She continued to place soft kisses of Araeyah's lips while running her fingers up and down her sides in hopes that she would give in.

"No, you don't. You'll be lucky to make on time if you leave now" she said her lips still touching Olivia's. "You can't keep doing this. You're cutting it closer and closer every day. If you start going in to work late, Elliot will definitely start asking questions. Are you ready to answer him?" Olivia sighed and laid her forehead on Rae's. She knew Rae was right. Elliot already suspected she was seeing someone and if she started going in to work late he would definitely dig in with the questions. She definitely wasn't ready for him, or anyone else, to know about them. It wasn't that she was ashamed to be with Rae but she wasn't ready for all the judgement that people would pass on her. She just wanted to be with Rae and be happy for a while longer before things got complicated. "It's ok. I don't want him to know either. At least not now." Rae said as if she read Olivia's mind. "So go" she said giving Liv one last kiss before pushing her towards the door. Rae left for school shortly after Liv had gone to work. She was really happy with what she and Olivia had going so far. Despite their age difference, they were as normal as any other couple.

The school day had gone quickly and she was now hanging out with Maureen in the game room at her parents house. They were playing a game of pool when she saw Jimmy out of the corner of her eye. They hadn't talked to since the night he had called her to pick him up. She could see that he was without a doubt back on drugs. She told Maureen that she'd be right back and not to cheat while she was gone. She walked into his room, shut the door behind her, leaned against his dresser and waited quietly for him to say something.

"I said I was sorry" he finally said after a minute long staring contest. "I don't know what else you want me to say."

"Sorry. Yeah you did say sorry. But sorry is not enough Jimmy. I've heard sorry a lot from you. I don't wanna hear that anymore" Her voice was really calm. She wasn't even angry at him; she was disappointed. She was there to let him know where they stood from now on. "So I'm gonna just say what I have to say and then I'm done with this. You better get your shit together, Jimmy. If you need help, I will help you. You know that I will. And when I say help I mean rehab, drug counseling, taking you to meetings; not driving to crack houses in the middle of the night because your so called friends left you there. If you don't want help, real help, then don't call anymore" Jimmy looked up and saw the serious look on Rae's face. He knew she wasn't kidding around. "Call your father. We both know what a stand up guy he is. I'm sure he'll be glad to help you. I'm done with this shit Jimmy; with you and the drugs and the stress and feeling responsible. I'm done being nice about this. You're fucking up and I'm sick of it" Rae stood up and headed for the door. She turned and looked at her brother one last time "You better start making a list of all the other people you have on your side. I'm sure it won't take you too long. Should be a short one." she opened the door and left her brother sitting there to think about what she'd said.

She and Maureen hung out for a few more hours before she took her home. It was now eight o'clock and she'd gotten done the little homework she had for the night. She was sitting on the couch reading the book she had to write about for her AP Lit class when there was a knock at her door. She went over and opened it and saw Paul standing there. It was a real effort for Rae not to roll her eyes but she managed pretty well and gave a small smile instead. "Hi Paul. What can I do for you?" she asked not wanting to waste any time getting him away from her door.

"Hi Rae. I was wondering how you were doing?" He tried to look over her shoulder into her apartment but she shifted bringing the door over so he couldn't see past her.

"I'm fine. Why do you ask?" It was odd to her for him to just drop by asking about how she was. Yes he was nosey about her comings and goings but he'd never knocked on her door to check up on her.

"I was just wondering because I've been seeing that cop coming and going. I just wanted to make sure you weren't, you know, in any trouble or anything." Rae knew he was lying. There was no way he didn't know the real reason why Olivia was there. He interrupted them practically having sex in the hallway once.

"Everything's fine, Paul. Don't worry" she assured him. He nodded his head in understanding but didn't make any move to leave from her door. They saw Olivia coming up the stairs and Rae couldn't help but to chuckle at the look of hatred and jealousy that came over Paul's face. Olivia walked up to them with a smile on her face and greeted her girlfriend with a kiss before turning, saying hello to her neighbor and going inside.

"So, we good?" Rae said turning her attention back to Paul. He shook his head before turning and going back into his apartment. Rae shut her door and walked into her bedroom where Olivia was. "He hates you" she said laughing.

"Well, he better get over it because I don't plan on going anywhere" she said wrapping her arms around Rae's waist and kissing her firmly on the lips.

"I'm totally good with that" Rae said before kissing Olivia again. It didn't take long before they were both naked and in bed pleasuring each other. After almost two hours, they emerged from the bedroom. They were both hungry and decided to order a pizza and watch a movie on Netflix. Olivia grabbed the remote to turn on the tv and pick out a movie and Rae grabbed her phone to call in their order. Once she picked a movie she looked over and stared at Rae who was looking at the pizza menu.

"Why are you looking at that? It's not like they have that many choices. You get the same thing every time you call anyway" she said teasing her girlfriend. "I do not" Rae said defensively. Olivia gave her a sideways look. "Ok maybe I do but I wanna get something different this time" she said smiling. " What do you want?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe a meat lovers" she said with a sly smile. "Just kidding" Rae rolled her eyes and dialed the number to the pizza parlor. It rang three times before someone answered and asked if she could hold for a moment. While she was on hold, Olivia crawled over to her and kissed her on the lips. "I know what I want now" she whispered. Rae gave her curious look and Olivia's hands moved to the waist band of her shorts yanking them off.

"Liv, no no no no" Olivia looked up at Rae, "not on the couch" she said. Olivia laughed and pulled her down to the floor. "Olivia, come on. Just wait one minute. I have to order the pizza" Rae said protesting Olivia's actions. "Liv" she said laughing "I'm on the phone." Her eyes got really wide as if pleading for Olivia not to do this to her right now. Just as she was about to push her away, Olivia placed her legs on her shoulders and ran her tongue through her folds. She relented and let he head fall back against on the plush rug. A moment later, the guy at the pizza parlor came back on the line. "Sorry for the wait. What can I get for you?" he said quickly.

"Uh hi, yeah" Rae said clearing her throat "I'd...like to place...an order for delivery please" She tried hard to keep her breaths even while she gave the guy her address and phone number and placed her order. It got more and more difficult as Olivia continued to fuck her with her tongue and suck her clit, bringing her closer to orgasm. "Yeah...Um hum...ok great thanks" she said quickly hanging up the phone. She arched her back and let out a loud moan she'd been holding in the entire time she was on the phone. Rae came again and then again when Olivia didn't stop her movements. She was on her lap riding her fingers when there was a knock at the door. She growled annoyed that they were being interrupted. "Babe, the pizza" Olivia said her ear.

Olivia thrust into Rae faster and harder while the knocking at the door continued. She trust one last time curling her fingers and hitting that sweet spot. The delivery guy had a smirk on his face and Olivia knew he'd heard them having sex. She quickly paid him and shut the door returning to her, now fully dressed, girlfriend on the couch. They ate and watched their movie before going to bed. Rae had a nightmare during the night waking Olivia. She'd had quite a few since the night of her "family emergency" but she still refused to talk about whatever it was that was bothering her. Olivia decided not to push her right then but they would definitely be talking about it soon. They went back to sleep and Rae slept peacefully the rest of the night.

The sun coming in from Rae's closet woke Olivia at six fifteen. As hard as she tried, she couldn't get back to sleep. She turned to look at her sleeping girlfriend and debated whether she should do what she was thinking. After laying there for another half hour she moved over to Rae's side of the bed and planted kisses on her neck and shoulder. She gently pulled up her shirt, exposing her skin, and placed kisses down her spine. Rae shifted and moaned at the feeling of Olivia's lips on her skin. As Rae turned over on her back, Olivia moved her kisses around her waist and landed on her hips. She slide her fingers into the waist band of Rae's shorts and pulled them over her hips and down her legs, throwing them to the side. Rae looked at the clock and saw it was just after six forty five. She didn't know whether to be annoyed that Olivia had woken her up early or flattered that she couldn't keep her hands off of her. Olivia pulled her up to sit in her lap and pulled her shirt over her head. She took a nipple into her mouth, sucking and nibbling, while moving her hand between her legs to massage her clit.
