Authors Note: Hey guys! Here with a short epilogue. I am NOT making a sequel to this, by the way. Anyways, I'm glad I'm finally done, as I can start my ANSRT sequel soon. Enjoy! :)

A few days after getting back on their own soil, Mordecai and Rigby were getting ready for their former boss's funeral. Thomas wasn't allowed to attend, as he was immediately arrested following their landing in the US. He was booked and is currently awaiting trial for attempted murder and smuggling a weapon aboard an aircraft.

"Dude, this tux is so uncomfortable!" Rigby whined, fumbling with the collar.

Mordecai came over to him. "Okay, I fixed it. You good?"

Rigby sighed. "Yeah, I guess. Still can't believe Benson is gone..."

Mordecai put a hand on his friend in comfort. "I know, I can't believe it either. We'll make it past it though." he smiled. He looked at his phone. "Crap! We gotta go dude! The funeral starts in 20 minutes!"

The boys ran out of the front door and came over to the long black limo for the park crew and family. Benson's family was inside, along with Pops and Skips.

Mordecai walked up the window and knocked, "Hey Skips?"

Skips lowered the window halfway, "Yeah?"

"Can we get a ride over to the funeral?"

"No room. Sorry, but you guys will have to take the golf cart. We'll be going slow anyways, so you'll keep up." he explained.

"Alright. Come on Rigby." he commanded.

They got in the cart and pulled up behind the limo. Muscle Man, Starla, and Fives were in front of the limo in his car, while Margaret and Eileen, who were behind Mordecai and Rigby, were allowed to use Margaret's dad's car.

Skips poked his head out of window, "You all ready?!"

They all honked in response.

"Okay, let's go!"

20 minutes later...

Everyone parked and walked into the funeral home. They saw a panel marked for Benson and went into the room. Benson was laid in an open casket up front, surrounded by mementos placed by his employees and family: photos, poems, even the "World's Best Boss" mug. Everyone went by the casket, paying their respects to him. Afterwards, they took their seats, with Benson's family in the front, along with Skips and Pops, as they knew him the most out of the other employees. Behind them sat Mordecai, Margaret, Rigby, and Eileen. In the third row was Muscle Man, Starla, and Fives.

Mordecai tapped Skips on the back, "Hey Skips? Where is Audrey?"

Skips looked back and frowned, "She couldn't come. She told me she'd be too much of an emotional wreck, then hung up."

Mordecai gasped, "Whoa, she must be taking this really hard."

(A.N: I don't want to drag out an entire funeral over a chapter, so I'm skipping to when Mordecai makes his speech.)

45 minutes into the funeral...

Mordecai sighed. Everyone had been crying and the priest had given a very sad eulogy, and he decided now was better than never. He raised his hand.

The priest spotted his arm, "Yes? Do you have something to say, sir?"

Mordecai stood up, "Um, yes. I wanted to give a small speech about Benson, please."

The priest nodded and motioned for him to come up. The avian strolled up to the podium, adjusted the microphone, and cleared his throat.

"Hello everyone. As many of you know, I'm Mordecai, and this is how we came upon our friend, Benson. When Rigby and I arrived here in town, we were down on our luck. I had just failed out of my art school, and he was a high school dropout. While he isn't exactly the greatest guy to be stuck with, he's been with me constantly, through the good and bad times." he paused to crack a slight smile to his lifelong friend, who did so in return.

"We stepped off the bus in the city, breathing in the fresh air, wanting to start a new experience. We saw a job flyer for the park and stopped by. Benson offered us a job as groundkeepers, and while we honestly hated it at first, we slowly came to love being around all of the employees and the daily visitors. I can't think of a better place to work, and I'm so glad I can call all of us a family." he paused again to compose himself, wiping away a few tears.

"Now, not everything was perfect, we had our share of arguments and downright shouting matches. I remember this one time when he literally exploded in a ball of rage, scolding the heck out of Rigby and I! I'm pretty sure we went deaf for a few days!" he chuckled, with everyone joining in on the laughter. "Benson was known to have a very short fuse, but I think it made him who he is. It gave him a willingness to push us harder. That being said, I could tell he had a soft side for his workers. Underneath all that anger, he truly cared about our well-being. He treated us with respect, but we had to earn it! He was one great dude: he defended us when we were down, helped me through my depression, and countless other acts of kindness. He even allowed us to host a Thanksgiving dinner, paying out of his pockets!" he stopped, walking over to the coffee mug. "I proudly raise this mug as a symbol of what he meant to us. We went through a lot of trouble to get this for him, and I can't think of a better title to remember him by: as the 'World's Best Boss'! This is for you, Benson!" he shouted triumphantly, then placed the mug into Benson's hands in the casket.

People started to clap, but he put his hands up to quiet them.

"Please, I'm almost done, then you can applaud. I have an announcement: Before he passed away, Benson told me he had a falling out with Mr. Mallard. He said he got on Mr. Mallard for treating him badly...at least, that's what I understood. Anyhow, Benson told me before Mr. Mallard fell to his death, he asked Benson for forgiveness for not showing respect, and offered a pay raise to everyone here. In addition, he said Pops would take over duties of the park, and Benson would move up into a higher position. Since they're not with us anymore, only half of that is true. Pops, you will take over, right?"

Pops stood up and smiled confidently, "Yes! Yes I will!"

Mordecai smiled, "Good. Finally, he said that if anything were to happen to him, that I would become the manager of the park. I gladly accept that responsibility. Thanks for letting me speak." he finished walking back to his friends.

Everyone stood and cheered for him. Benson's family pulled him into a hug and thanked him for the heartfelt speech. After the funeral, everyone headed home, tired from all the sadness of the day.

Resting his head on his pillow, Mordecai felt the park was going to be just fine.
