Since my exam are over now, I have ample of time for myself and it's time for me to rest. And I'm officially free from school. No more homework and stuff. Don't get me wrong, I actually love the life as a student. And yeah, it's sad, I know. Anyway, hope you enjoy the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.

Sasuke strained himself, slowly letting go of her waist.

Sakura stood on her feet and looked at him nervously. "Thank y-"

"Don't thank me," he said in a voice that was cold enough to give her chills. He didn't even give her a chance to finish. "Don't act so innocent, I know you made it all up."

She gave him a confused look, unable to understand why he was being so harsh.

"You came up with this plan so I would rescue you, isn't that right?" He paused to think. "Well guess what? You're wasting your time."

Sakura was stunned and took a moment for the words to sink before it finally clicked. Did he think that she fell over him on purpose? Did he think she was taking advantage of him? Why would she do that?' She wasn't an obsessive fan girl, and she certainly wasn't desperate for his attention.

It angered her. He had no right to accuse her of such a horrible act. She tried to control her frustration by taking steady breaths. He must be messed up in the brain to think that she purposely fell on him. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms."Excuse me?"

"Hn. Don't give me that look. I know you're just acting so stop it already. Girls are such annoying creatures," he muttered under his breath - just loud enough for her ears - and walked away, shoving his hands in his pockets.

That pushed it too far. He treated her like an emotionless doll, insulting her with no mercy. For gods sake, he did it in front of a crowd! She couldn't keep her composure any longer. Her eyes caught sight of a junior downing a can of soda. In the blink of an eye, she snatched the carbonated drink from the boy's grasp and ran.

"Wha- Hey! Hey, that's mine!" He baffled.

Before Sasuke could leave, Sakura called out, "Hey, Uchiha!"

SPLASH!

Everyone was stunned at her valour action. Sakura Haruno just threw soda on Sasuke Uchiha, the most popular boy in school.

She was satisfied. It served him right. Nobody could just mess with her and get away with it. She glared at him and turned to walk away.

He grabbed her wrist and slammed her against the wall.

It hurt a lot. A painful gasp escaped her lips.

More attention surrounded the commotion, gazing with uncomfortable eyes.

"You're annoying," he said with a husky voice. One hand rested on the top of her head while the other was tightly gripped around her wrist, preventing her from escaping.

"What are you doing! L-Let me go!" She tried to push him off but to no avail. Any attempt of getting him of would fail. She could feel his breath on her neck. He was mere inches away from her.

"You're weak," he murmured into her ear with a low, barely audible tone.

"I'm what?"

"You heard me." He was glad that he embroiled her and smirked. She had a fierce look plastered on her face. Her emerald eyes glittered and her soft hair reminded him of pinky candy. She could grab anyone's attention with her perfect features. He moved closer. "Remember this..."

She stood frigid in her place, unable to move a single muscle.

"... I'm not through with you yet. What you did to me just then was unforgivable. Once I find my chance I will show no mercy."

He let go, giving her one last look before leaving.

She watched as the students split like the red sea to create a path for him. He disappeared in the crowd of people. Her body shook with fear. Nobody had ever gotten that close to her before.

The attention was switched to Sakura. Everyone glared at her, with the exception of one boy who raised a thumbs up. She knew her actions wouldn't please his obsessive fangirls. She ignored the staring and hurried to the chemistry lab. Unfortunately she was running late again. She entered the lab, letting out a heavy sigh as she took a seat next to her best friend.

Luckily, the chemistry teacher was also late due to an urgent matter. The class went on as usual. "Hydrochloric acid and calcium carbonate combined will form..."

"Hey forehead, mind if I ask what happened?" Ino asked.

She ignored her friend and continued solving the answer.

"Forehead."

She kept writing.

"Forehead."

She kept ignoring her.

Ino snatched her pen away out of irritation.

"Ugh, what is it?" Sakura asked, clearly annoyed. She tapped her fingers on the desk impatiently.

Ino smiled, knowing that her best friend would always give in. They knew eachother well, had they met in kindergarden.

"Give my pen back."

"No, only if you tell me what happened. I heard rumours around school saying you had a fight with Uchiha. Was it true?" She eagerly asked.

Sakura let out a heavy sigh and turned to her best friend. "Look, can we talk about this later? I'm trying to concentrate here."

She groaned. "Oh, come on."

"Yamanaka Ino," the teacher called out sternly.

"Damnit," she cursed.

"Would you like to share your story with the whole class?" Kurenai sensei crossed her arms and lifted her brows. She hated when her students didn't pay attention to her teaching.

Ino became silent.

"Well... Is it a yes or a no?"

She giggled nervously and scratched the back of her head, trying to prevent herself from getting in more trouble. "Not really."

"Good. Now take your seat." She continued the lesson.

Ino noticed a smile on her friend's face. She hissed, "Stop smiling you idiot!"

"Sorry, can't help it." Sakura laughed.

During the class, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. There was an unusual sense that somebody was watching her. She tried to ignore it, but it got more and more aggrivating by the second. She turned around and spotted Taro. He was popular among the girls and was also the leader of Shigure. He looked at her in a way that made her feel like his prey. Her stomach churned. She didn't like it one bit.

Sakura dared to roll her eyes, indicating her irritation towards his staring. She decided that he got the message and carried on with her work, missing the sly grin on his face.

Sasuke leaned on his chair as he witnessed the small scene before him. It seemed like Sakura was an interesting girl. Any girl would love to flirt with such a handsome guy, but she didn't.

He noticed it when they had an incident too. A normal girl would be flabbergasted to even talk to him, but she was bold and definitely mysterious.

He also couldn't help but notice that Taro was a bit off around her. What he was really up to?

At the very back of his mind he wondered why Sakura never talked to other boys. It wasn't his business, but the puzzle was tempting to solve.

He decided that he would discover who she really was so he could find a way to destroy her. Perhaps he could figure out Taro's secret at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone wasn't a bad idea.

"This should be interesting." He smirked.
