Hikaru and Kaoru sat in the basket of the 'buggy.' Their mother had left a maid to watch after them and she needed to go grocery shopping for herself. So she loaded the boys up and took them with her. However, loading them up with sweets to make them quiet may not have been the best idea…
"What is this place? What are we doing here? When are we going home? I'm hungry!" Hikaru whined, wiggling in his seat. Kaoru sat with a lollipop in his mouth, watching all the people in awe. The buggy stopped and the maid turned to the products on the shelf, ignoring the boys and praying they would give up on questions. Kaoru tugged Hikaru's sleeve, jumping down and helping his brother down.
Kaoru pulled the lollipop out of his mouth, muttering, "I saw a toy aisle. Let's go!" to his brother before sticking the sucker back in his cheeks. The two took off down the store and ran through a few other aisles before they saw the toys.
Hikaru gasped, a smile growing ever so wide on his chubby face. "Kao! Look'it this! Look'it that!" he giggled, grabbing at the switch on the Lego display. He climbed onto a higher up shelf to pull down a foam sword. Kaoru laughed and took a sword himself. Hikaru hopped back down and the two began to duel. Or, as close to a duel as two five-year-olds get.
"I'mma get you!" Kaoru roared, body slamming Hikaru and the two rolled toward the greeting card aisle. They popped back up, noticing a book aisle. Kaoru reached for the first book her grab and opened to a random page.
"Whazzat 'bout, Kao?" Hikaru asked, dragging his sword behind him to look at the book.
"Nu-uh!" Kaoru held the book away from his twin, "It's just 'bout bacon!" he whined. The book was released and Kaoru ended up pinned on the ground.
"Boys!" Oh, great… The twins looked up to see their frantic maid running to them. She picked them up by the collars of their coats and threw Hikaru's sword in a random bin. "I turn around and you're gone, you had me worried to death!" she reprimanded.
"We're sorry, we're sorry…" they said in the rehearsed synchronization one came to expect when receiving an apology from them.
They checked out and went to the car, climbing in a buckling up. The twins watched another child in the car beside them as she stuck out her tongue, stretching her mouth with her fingers. They both made silly faces back, wiggling their tongues and making bunny ears at the brunette. They giggled when she rolled her eyes but then the car lurched backward and they were on the way back home.
This was an idea from Imncake. I know you said the mall but I thought Walmart would be a little easier. Also, Kaoru was reading 50 Shades of Grey…one of my friends did that in Walmart, opened to a random page. It was about bacon (or so we think) so she read it throughout the store in front of some little kids. My friends aren't right in the head, OK?
