Chapter 4: (right?) The pirates find a marooned panda

[A/n] sorry I didn't update in a loooooooooooong time! So Here it is! If any of the characters are OOC, just tell me!~

Jack ran towards the side of the boat, "How me miss the tropical color of green.."
Midday strolled over and agreed, Stella flew over and used her telescope, "Looks like we'll 'ere the oracle, aye?"
Midnight nodded and she zoomed in on the trees, "Fruits, Mangos, ORANGES TO CEASE THY SCURVY!"

Amy looked confused, "Scurvy? What`s scurvy?" Tails smiled brightly towards her as the two went towards the edge of the ship.
"It`s something you get when you don`t get enough of vitamin C" The rosette hedgehog nodded slowly before she gazed towards the Island.
"I`m sure they would`ve loved to adventure this with us..." Tails nodded once as the thought of two hedgehogs came into his mind.
"I`m sure they`re doing some adventuring right now themselves actually" Amy snorted in laughter,
"If they`ve stopped fighting that is!"

The gang all chuckled.. except the pirates.

Jack smirked, "Is one of those 'they' are ye, lover, Pinky?" Midnight rolled her eyes, "Ye is jealousy thy lil' one has a love life and ye' does not?" The cougar stammered, "OF COURSE NOT, me is just innocently curious.." Amy looked down to the water with a smile blooming on her face, "yeah... his name... is Shadow, Shadow the hedgehog"
"Yeah, and the other hedgehog is named Sonic" Tails filled in as the ship neared the Island. The ship touched at a small dock that looked old and flimsy.
"Ladies go first," Jack smirked and chuckled.
Midnight objected, "The Cap'n goes first, ye seadog!"Stella took off her hat and bowed towards Midnight,
"Aye, He`s right lass, Ladies go first" She playfully teased her friend. Tyler smirked as he rolled his eyes towards his lover, he silently sneaked up behind her and picked her up bridal style before walking towards the small dock.
"You`re lucky I didn`t give ya a black eye" Stella growled before she smiled at him.
"Aye, lucky indeed."

Midday, Shawn and the others chuckled at the two, except Jack, he jumped off the side of the boat. Which caused colorful fish to flee, he trudged in the water, which was beautifully clean and clear.
"Hey, ye's scaring the fish, matey.." Midday said as the cougar walked on pretending to hear nothing. Jackie frowned at his actions, sure she wanted to make sure he was alright, but she also knew to give him his space. So instead of doing anything the red wolf sighed before turning to Midnight,
"I need to grad some things, I`ll be back" With a small nod coming from the cyborg Jackie sprinted towards her cabin to grab her satchel and of course her hat along with a shovel.
"Hurry up matey! so we could explore! Cap`n Stella can`t wait any longer" It was true with what Midnight yelled, the hybrid was practically going nuts on not having a chance to explore after so long.
"I CAN`T TAKE IT!"Stella yelled before she flew back on the ship and towards the cabin Jackie ran towards and helped the girl grab her things before flying back towards the dock with the wolf in tow.

"Was this really necessary..?" Jackie squeaked as Stella nodded, firmly.
Jack took out his sword and hummed to 'Trail we Blaze', he cut some random weeds and other grasses.
"Hey, hey! Jack, boy! Stop it!" Midday chased after the said cougar.
"Fine," Jack grumbled, "Follow me.."
Midnight rolled her eyes and smiled at Blaze, "We'll need your powers... just in case.." The wolf dragged the cat which made Silver tag along.

"ADVENTURE!" Stella cried as she flew childishly over the line of Pirates, she smiled brightly as she did a flip in mid-air and was soon over Amy.
"How can you fly through this overgrowth?" Amy muttered as she looked her emerald eyes with red eyes.
"Remember who you`re talking to lass, remember when I was a wee darling staying up all night going through the trees and vines the forest had" Amy smiled as she smiled softly.
"Yeah.. I remember when dad gave you a lecture to never sneak out again" Stella laughed as she landed next to the pink hedgehog.
"It was never one lecture" Shawn overheard this and smirked.
"Is that why you`re such a big trouble maker now?" The hybrid laughed along with Amy,
"You know it matey! Never doubt that!" The group either smiled or laughed at the statement. Jack chuckled than tripped and fell into a large hole, "THE DARK ABYSS!"
Midday scoffed, "Clumsy.."

A multi-colored panda jumped from out of nowhere and landed on his feet, "PIRATES!" He drew out a dagger then realized Stella, "I-I'm sorry.. Miss Wolfe.."

The hybrid only grinned as she recalled the first time she ran into this panda,
"Noah! long time no see lad!" The panda smiled as he withdrew his dagger and walked towards Stella. He was a tall panda, almost 6`4, his fur was purple and gold while his eyes were a deep hazel.
"I agree miss Wolfe, it`s been too long." Midday drew out his sword and twirled it from boredom, "Aye, Greetings, Sir Raymond..."
Midnight nodded at Noah, "What happened?"
Noah growled, "The Blood Crow ship, Darklings, and AshHearts..."

Everyone was consumed into the conversation, they hardly noticed Jack STILL in the hole. Jackie approached the abyss, "Need help?"
"Oh no," He smiled, sarcastically, "I LOVE IT here... don't worry about me.. I'm FINE.."

The wolf rolled her eyes as she placed both hands on her hips, "Fine, suit yer self" She smiled before she turned around, about to join the conversation.

"Wait..." The red wolf playfully sighed as she turned her head towards the hole again.
"Hmm?" She heard him sigh and the wolf bit back a giggle. "Get me out of this hell hole!"He whined and she hoisted the cat up and out. He shook off all of dirt and slicked back his fur.
"Thanks.."
Heraldo looked all around and Noah pointed at him, "Aren't you the gunner everyone has spoken about?" The Mexican wolf nodded and they both shook hands. Stella smiled but it went away as fast as it came, "How long ago did you see those bloody crows?"
Her crew shivered, still not used to how dark Stella`s voice could drop, as for the stowaway`s they went silent as eyes went back to Noah.

Noah thought about this, "They came... they came.. at night when I was asleep.. they made my step brother Spencer surrender and be captive.. but in the morning... they didn't bring him back..." He's eyes were pricking with tears, he wiped them, "I don't no where my brother is!" The hybrid drew her ears back in rage,
"We`ll help you find him lad, and once we do, I`ll do my best to make them beg for mercy" Stella went on and on about how she`d end them, Amy was scared to say in the least, she never seen Stella so mad before even when they were younger.
"Calm down Cap`n" Tyler chuckled out,
"I`m sure all of us would love to take em down"
"But this time I mean it, it may not be right away... but they won`t hurt anyone else in the end."

Jack formed his hand into a fist, "The very word of their name is quite revolting. I just want t-to.. to.." His eyes turned white then he had a dark aura. He started attacking the trees, breaking them down more easily than an ax. Jackie ducked as a branch flew her way, fixing her black hair she growled towards the cougar,
"If anything hits me Cap`n I promise it won`t be pretty" She growled as she watched the cougar destroy another tree.
"Well... At least he`s clearing a way for us" Amy nervously laughed while rubbing the back of her head. Jack tossed small animals out the way, he hissed and turned to a parrot, he swung his claws at the mobian.
"SQW-UAK! DO YOU VISITORS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SO VIOLENT?!"

Jack stoped as Heraldo embraced the parrot mobian, "Esméralda! It's been so long..."
Esmeralda blushed, "It has..." She barked at Jack,
"WHATWEREYOUTHINKINGYOUNGMAN?! SCARINGTHEFEATHERSOUTOFAYOUNGGIRL!...." She kept yelling until Noah handed her a mango. She ate it gratefully.
Jack muttered, "Next time, I'll claw out ye throat.." Stella laughed as she watched Jack,
"I have no clue what cats have against birds so much"
"Oh tell me about it" Nicole piped up as she saw Allen hissing at the birds flying for safety in higher and sturdier trees. Esmeralda barked at Allen, "NOWYOUTOO?! LISTEN,'ERE YOUNGMAN! IFYEHURTSONEBIRD, IT'SOFFWIT'YOURTAIL!"

Heraldo handed her another mango, "Tranquilo, (Calm) Mi Amor.. (my love)"

The lion stopped hissing and glanced quickly to Nicole who only shrugged back at him,
"Gotcha" He muttered before he glanced back to his captain who looked as if she`d kill anything on sight while Tyler tried to calm her down.
"If it me or does Cap`n Wolfe has a weird emotion pattern?" He whispered to Saturn.
"Aye indeed, never forgets anything you say" The bat whispered back, both froze once they saw Stella`s ear twitch their way, but the captain didn`t look at them.
"You think she heard?" Allen whispered/yelled.
"Aye... she did..." Saturn whispered back not taking her eyes off her captain.

Noah sighed and put his dagger away, "But anyways, Welcome To Aoi Island!"
Midnight jumped in front of him saying, " 'Aoi' means 'Blue' in Japanese! I guess its called that because of it's clear waters, aye?"
Jack rolled his eyes, "Crew, we should get a move on.. we need food and water for our journey.." Stella nodded seeming to have calmed down at whatever riled her up,
"I know that Jackie and Shawn could get any non- poisonous berries for us, while someone fishes and others collect food from the trees, like Mangos, Apples, Banana`s, and get Oranges as well"
"Should we split? Where shall we meet up?" Rouge asked.

Esmeralda chirped, "NEAR THE OLD TREE WHICH HAS DRAGON FRUIT!" She smiled and lead the way, exclaiming how tasty the berries were."Does she always yell?" Silver mumbled and rubbed his left ear which was ringing from her loud tone.
"I don`t know, but I won`t get used to it" Rouge mumbled back as they continued walking.

"Here we are! The dragon fruit tree!" Esmeralda cried and pecked a berry out of the tree, "These are *munch* very tasty! Come try some, laddies!" Amy looked to the tree with interest, she watched as her friends and crew-mates eat the berries.
"I guess it wouldn`t hurt..." The rosette hedgehog mumbled before she went to grab one out of the berries but Tails held one out for her to take.
"Oh, thanks..."

Midday nodded, "These are quite strange to thy tongue, aye?"
Noah shook his head, "I remember the sweet taste like the back of my hand.." Amy popped the berry in her mouth only to make a sour face,
"It tastes bitter to me" She said after spitting it out.
"It`s sweeter than honey on toast" Stella mumbled towards her as she ate another one. Jack frowned, "It's delicious, Pinky..." Midnight started to eat 2 at a times when she saw Shawn throwing fruit, she smiled evilly and tossed some at him.
"MIDNIGHT!" He tossed some back, which hit Midday. Midday was 'locked and loaded' with berries and he started shooting at Shawn.

"Arg, you`re going to get it now!" Shawn said as he was being pelted by the berries, he reached towards the tree and grabbed a handful before launching them towards the cyborg, hitting him directly, getting some juice on his hair.
"Do you know how long this`ll take to get out?!" He growled before throwing more at the coyote. Midnight joined in, launching at him like cannonballs, "YE'LL PAY FOR THAT STUNT LADDIE!"
Everyone joined in, and were laughing like crazy.

Shawn chuckled as he dropped to his knees covering his face with his arms,
"Ahh! Backup! I need backup!" He cried in laughter no sooner than that Allen jumped over his head with a smile on his face as he launched berries at anyone in his sight. Jack was too serious along with Esmeralda and Heraldo. They were SOLDIERS, going into war.
They had a plan...
GET ALLEN OUT.
They tossed their fruit like grenades (if they knew what they are). Dodging flying 'ammo', practically trying to be JAMES BOND UP IN 'DERE! (P.s. If they only knew who he was.)

As Allen chuckled as he dodged a handful of berries but had taken a couple of steps back as more fruit hit his body and head. His playful green eyes shined as he moved with speed to grab more berries, he leaned back just was a berry was about to hit his face.
"Not the face!" He playfully laughed just as another whizzed past. Shawn was right next to him, Allen was known to be playful in any situation, life or death. But he could get serious when he wanted and that made him great with kids.
"I won`t stop until you beg for me mercy!" The lion cried with mirth as he threw a berry that hit Heraldo on the arm.

Midnight started launching 12 at a time, she didn't want to give up to him,
"NEVER YA' BLOODY SEA-DOGS OF THE SEA!" Everyone laughed, the Esmeralda grew with determination, "Step back, mis amigos y mis amigas..."
She stepped up and tossed the fruit in several ways and directions like a water sprinkler.

Both Lion and coyote looked towards the speeding berries with shock, but they dodged half of the berries thrown their way. Shawn laughed as one hit Allen`s head and another on his ear. The said lion chuckled as he playfully growled.
"You`ll regret that move mate" He said in an Australian accent, Shawn rolled his eyes as he launched more but stopped as Stella joined in, She flew into the air and pelted Jack with berries.
"Now this is what I call fun!" The hybrid yelled from above as he went to gather more berries before one hit her on the wing making her drop a few feet from the air.
"Who threw that?!"

A black figure was chuckling, it was an AshHeart.. but he looked like a hedgehog we all know... He tossed a dragon fruit in one hand, as if he was a lion studying his prey closely.

Red eyes narrowed towards the figure, she held a fist full of berries in an instance she launched them at the hedgehog. Almost in a flash the figure dodged all berries thrown his way. Midday, Jack and Midnight all were in battle positions. Heraldo looked at him in curiosity.

Stella flew to the ground, her cutlass in her hand and a death glare written on her face.
"An AshHeart in my presence?" Stella started as she raised the cutlass in her right hand,
"Might as well be a death wish" The black figure only stood there, behind the mobians that were standing in battle stances or growling, emerald eyes knotted in confusion.

"Amy?" The figure asked as he stepped forward. Now you could see all of him. He was blue... and had emerald eyes. Sonic smiled, "Me and Shadsy got ship-wreaked on this island an-"
Jack tossed a dagger at the so-called mobian, "Step any closer lad, and you'll be fish bait."

Stella growled at the supposed blue hedgehog,
"How do we know yer not a AshHeart, ASHHEART?!" She took a step forward as if to challenge him.

Sonic chuckled, "I'm the hero of mobius.. why would I lie?"
Jack frowned, 'He sounds like him..'

Stella lowered her cutlass as she narrowed her eyes,
"Hm... You said ye know me sister?" The hybrid asked,
"Tell me how you met and maybe... you`ll still have a head."

Sonic paused, he turned to Amy, "I saved you..." He scratched his head, "Ugh.. The wreck..." He cringed a bit in pain.
Esmeraldo scowled, "Ye looks suspicious.."
Midday cried, "Remember the battle we once had?"
Questions were thrown until Sonic couldn't take it, he slowly transformed grey.
"A HYBRID?!" Midnight gasped. She was right. It was a mix of an AshHeart and a Darkling.
Everyone got ready. Esmeralda calmly went behind the beast and shot the back of his head, popping out of socket and the body sprawled on the floor.

Amy glared at the body on the floor but knotted her eye brows together in confusion,
"How did that thing take shape of Sonic and how did it know about Shadow?" Amy mumbled under her breath as her hand went towards her cutlass subconsciously.
"Amy, tell me more about that hedgehog and the one he mentioned as 'Shadsy'" Stella barked as she too looked at the body while having her sword out just in case the job wasn`t done.

Amy sighed, "That hedgehog was named Sonic, a good friend of mine.. and 'Shadsy' is Shadow..." She looked away, blushing, "Another friend of mine..."

Stella smiled and went towards her sister,
"Seeing that blush makes me wonder... If that Shadow guy is more than a friend" Nicole giggled as did Saturn. Amy snapped playfully, "He's a very good friend! Stella, please!-"

Midday poked at the body and found a bloody note, "Guys I think you need to see this.."
Everyone crowded around as he read:

I can be the sun,

I can be sand,

I can be the Bird.

What am I?

Stella blinked,
"What type of riddle is-" She then looked toward the body on the floor.
"I can be the sun? I can be the sand?" Tyler muttered under his breath.
"I hate guessing" Shawn pouted as he crossed his arms. Midnight stabbed at it, she opened the wound and found.. a watch.
Heraldo rose a brow, "A watch?"
Esmeralda chirped, "THAT'S IT! 'I can be the sun, I can be the sand, I can be the bird', A CLOCK! Sand- an hour glass, Sun- Sundial, and Bird- Cuckoo Clock! The watch is stuck on a certain time..."

The hybrid smiled shortly, before she looked towards the watch.
"Aye, read the time out loud then!" Her crew smiled before they went back to talking to each other about getting shelter for the night in case they adventured to far away from the ship.

Midday began, "It is- wait, what? The hour hand and minute hand move every time I tilt it slightly!" Jack scoffed, "It's not a watch."
Everyone turned to him.
Tails nodded, "Jack's right, something is off about the watch.." Knuckles challenged the cougar, "Then what is it?"
Jack smirked and crossed his arms, "That's a compass."

Stella took off her hat and smiled a little,
"Then which was is it pointing? and why would that creature have it? Is this a trap?" Tyler shrugged,
"We won`t know unless we find out Cap`n"

"It's pointing... north..." Midday stood up and faced east, the minute and hour hands pointed west, "It seems to point at someTHING not someWHERE."
Tails nodded, "By some force?"
Esmeralda shook her head, "No, by MAGIC."
Knuckles looked to her, "What?"

Amy rolled her eyes,
"When I was a kid, my mother told me that magic was fake" Stella glanced towards the hedgehog.
"Magic isn`t fake, it`s real all."

Tyler, Shawn, Nicole, the whole crew nodded. Heraldo stepped up, "If magic isn't real.. explain the Darklings, AshHearts, and our foes." "I can`t say for sure how those things are alive, maybe it has something to do with dark energy... or I could be wrong" Amy explained as she shuffled her feet in the dirt, not wanting the attention given.

Esmeralda shook her head, "Pure, mágica (magic)" The pink hedgehog shrugged her shoulders, "Alright I guess.. Magic is making it point at something."

Heraldo suggested, "Maybe we should check it out, mi amgios.."
Noah smiled, "I know Aoi island like the back of my hand!" "Speaking of the back of your hand, what`s on it?" Shawn chuckled as he pointed to a big black dot on it,
"It looks like a- AHHHHH GET IT OFF ME!" The coyote cried as the black dot on his hand turned out to be a spider and jumped on his face.

Noah chuckled and rolled his eyes. Esmeralda was bored as they walked where the watch led them. She decided to tell riddles, "What is less than God, Worse than thy devil, Poor men have, the rich need and if you eat me, you'll die. What am I?" Tyler chuckled as he scratched the back of his head,
"Um... wow... I`m going to guess poison?" Saturn rolled her eyes towards him.
"Why would anyone want poison?" Tyler put his hands up in defense.
"I don`t know! It was off the top of me head!"

Esmeralda laughed, "One more try!"
Tails rose his hand, "It's nothing."
The parrot chirped, "Bueno!~"
Heraldo smiled, "The fox is smart, very smart indeed.."

Stella chuckled at the look on Tyler`s face,
"You thought about it too hard lad!" The burgundy fox rolled his eyes before he pulled the hybrid close only to kiss her lightly.
"Aww!" Nicole cooed as he wrapped her arm around Allen`s.

Midnight and Jack gave him a thumbs up. Midday gave him a face-palm, "Wait, Aye. I'm getting a signal, ye seadogs.. the hands are getting bizarre.."
Everyone crowded around him. Stella`s eyes grew wide as she watched the hands go out of control,
"What do you think it`s doing?" Jackie suggested, "We're probably very near.." They all stepped closer, until Knuckles broke the silence, "I think it's just goi-!" He slipped backwards, in shock as he fell into a never-ending dark abyss. (Other wise known as a 'Hole')

"Knuckie!" Rouge shouted before realizing her mistake.
"Knuckie?" Amy snorted out in laughter, the albino bat blushed heavily before rolling her eyes.
"Whatever..."
"...Is he alright?" Tails murmured as he looked to the spot Knuckles fell.

"KYAAAAAAAAAA!"
Amy rose a brow, "Does that answer your question?"
