Hey guys! I hope you all had a good valentines day Anyway I'm so sorry Skylar has turned into Mary Sue ToT I was so mortified but it's not your fault and thank you to those who have told me about it but still gave me a good review concerning the story line. Anyway the fight's coming to an end but so is this story, again I was crying in my brooding corner (Yes, I have a brooding corner) There's one more chapter after this so enjoy!

Chapter twenty-one

Skylar walked forwards, speeding up as she retrieved her senbons once again and into an all out sprint, the jinchuuriki already moving to intercept as she ducked the first punch, throwing her first senbon and flashing forwards as she heard the clashing behind her but stayed focused as she defended herself and flashed forwards, finally getting to Yusei, swinging her arm back and aiming for a downward punch but he jumped away.

Her fist collided with the ground next to Kabuto as it cracked slightly, the muscles on Skylar's arms straining as she glared at Kabuto and he glared back calmly before she jumped after Yusei. They were so close as the wind whipped past them from the battle left behind as they clashed in hand to hand combat, Yusei just smiled and blocked her attacks as he stepped backwards at her angry onslaught of fists and kicks, twisting around and covering her weak points.

One hit later and Skylar bounced along the ground before jumping up again and yelling with frustrated anger like she was a kid, not strong enough to defend itself from bullies. She was letting her anger get the best of her as she powered up a Chidori once again and dangerous short ranged fire attacks but he just blocked with water, jumping further back each time and Skylar was getting even more frustrated as lightning lashed out from her Chidori. He used an earth hardening jutsu on his hand and punched her on her weak point as her back skidded across the rocky ground and stopped, hitting up against a rock as she gasped out blood and coughed for air.

She knew her pouch had fallen off but she couldn't think about that as a hand was offered to help her up by Yusei and she glared up at him with anger and confusion as she breathed heavily for air and through pain as the dragons on her wound shifted again, like fire moving across and through her skin.

"Why?" She questioned up at him, holding a hand to her mouth as she coughed up blood again and Yusei shrugged.

"Let's have a real fight… Our natural power against each other because this is just like when you were a kid and we're getting nowhere," He said as Skylar grabbed his hand and he helped her up, stepping back about five meters as she felt him centring his chakra with his eyes closed and Skylar copied.

Both Naruto and Kiiro were in full bijuu mode as the last jinchuuriki was sealed with Sai and Sakura's help as well as Yamato, holding them down with his wood style. They looked over to where two massive chakras were building, seeing Yusei and Skylar facing off as the bijuu modes were dropped and they stood together.

Two sets of purple and focused eyes opened as the chakra was released and Kakashi's eyes widened as he grabbed Yamato and Sasuke's collars and laid down flat on the floor as Kiiro grabbed Sakura and Naruto grabbed Sai as they watched with amazement.

The wind was cutting the land as it clashed and blew bits of rock and sand everywhere as they all screwed their eyes narrowly to watch as it made a scratching noise similar to rasen –shuriken. It was almost like white lightning appearing between the two wind forces as Skylar's hair whipped around her concentrated face as both pairs of purple eyes were trained on each other and evenly matched. It stopped and clashed again not a second later as Skylar closed her eyes with furrowed brows as a chakra heightened for a second and a look of realisation crossed Skylar's face as she formed hand seals and held her hands out as lightning sparked in her vortex around her, adding a ripping sound to the screech already, hitting Yusei through his vortex.

"No fucking way… She actually did it." Kakashi whispered to himself with awe as his eyes were still wide. He noticed Yusei smile and close his eyes in defeat as he did a few hand seals and his reanimation broke down and the wind vortex faded as did the sealed reanimations.

"He released the reanimation." Sasuke said as he stood up with the rest of the team and looked at the land with deep gashes through it from the wind. A movement caught all of their attention as Kabuto tried to run but Skylar was crouched in his path in a second and he stopped as a huge explosion rocked the area from the 'pedestal' and Kakashi, Sasuke and Kiiro smirked to themselves as Skylar joined them, looking a bit rough from being too close to the explosion.

"So that's why you were so distracted since we interfered." Kakashi said in a matter of fact tone, noting the new edition on Skylar's shoulder.

"When did you pull it off?" Kiiro asked as she touched the little puppet on Skylar's shoulder that was similar to Kankuro's.

"As soon as the reanimations began to show up, I noticed the chakra barrier barely around that 'rock formation' and I modified this puppet a while ago to carry paper bombs and I've been waiting for the right time to try it out." Skylar said, watching intently through the dust and smoke for Kabuto because he's going to be pissed.

"How the hell you multitasked that I'll never know… When did you manage to sneak that puppet around?" Sasuke asked as the rest of the group watched on in confusion.

"When you first showed up… I used Naruto as a cover to unseal the puppet and send it round while you guys were fighting Kakuzu. I've been placing paper bombs ever since which explains my recklessness but that's why I have this seal." Skylar explained as the puppet disappeared in a poof and the dust cleared to see a seething Kabuto. "Would you like the honour Kiiro?" Skylar asked her.

"No thanks… You do it Skylar, I'm just satisfied I got to see my sisters again and know they are happy in the after life, my revenge has been sated." She said, leaning her head on Sasuke's shoulder tiredly as they all watched Kabuto stalking up to them.

"When did you figure out what was under that cloth that you just destroyed?" Kakashi asked her and she smirked as Naruto, Sakura, Yamato and Sai cocked their heads in confusion.

"The shape and the chakra in and surrounding it… I knew what it was as soon as I arrived and saw it since I heard of the break in at Kumo from their forbidden archives." Skylar said and Naruto took a deep breath.

"Will someone explain what you four are talking about?" Naruto asked, hiding his frustration in his tense tone.

"Since I found out about the Jyuubi being a tree and activating the Tsukuyomi through that, I've kept track on its whereabouts. Kumogakure took the tree down and put it away in an underground archive, protected by the best ninja from each village. Shikamaru was there when it was broken into and explained of four people breaking in and stealing the bud of the tree. Kiiro said it was them when I met her and got as much information from her that she could remember and came to a conclusion that Kabuto was trying to copy Tobi and become the next Rikudo and replace the Tsukuyomi into circulation without the bijuu.

"It's why he brought Yusei here and kidnapped me. We were powerful enough together to run the Tsukuyomi off of and he was going to use us as well as the three bijuu he obtained and placed into jinchuuriki but I didn't play nice and ruined his plans. And so he planned all of this, bringing his little contraption and the bud along and was planning to wear Kiiro and I down but I only figured this out as soon as we arrived and so we had no choice, that's when I remembered the puppet and just needed a distraction to get it out and placing the paper bombs in and around the rocks and bud which I have just blown to bits." Skylar explained and Naruto breathed out a silent 'Oh' and nodded with a grin.

"You over think things." Naruto grinned and Skylar smiled and it dropped when she heard Kabuto shout out in rage.

"You will die here Uzumaki Skylar!" Kabuto shouted as he activated his chakra scalpels on his hands and charged for Skylar as she charged back with chakra scalpels of her own and began to fight Kabuto as the team watched on with confusion… Should they interfere?

Skylar got board and annoyed because Kabuto was fighting with anger and not thinking straight as she activated Chidori Nagashi and shocked him to fall on his back as she dug her Chidori through his heart and stepped back as he died. She waved two fingers over her shoulder at Sasuke who walked over and used Amaterasu on the body as it burned away to nothingness.

Skylar took a deep and shaky breath as she pointed her face up to the sky as it began to rain with the sound of thunder. She didn't feel herself tip over or pass out as she fell over.

Sasuke saw this and caught her quickly and passed her off to Naruto who nodded at Sasuke in thanks as he picked her up into his arms as they heard other ninja approach from different directions, the hitai-ate of Konoha, Kumo, Suna, Kiri and Iwa glinting in the lightning as they ran up to the group and set up tents to treat the wounded and help them out as they all relaxed in the safety of their comrades and friends.

Naruto's neck twitched painfully which is what woke him up with a groan, opening his eyes to see the green grey tent up around him. He was bandaged up around his arms and his torso but it was a dull pain now since Kurama had been healing him since he had been asleep. He sat up carefully and hung his arm over his knee as he looked around to see Kakashi sitting up and reading like usual as he snapped his book shut and looked at Naruto.

"How are you feeling?" Kakashi asked and Naruto shrugged.

"A little stiff that's all… Have you heard anything about Skylar?" He asked, sitting at the edge of his bed now as he found his shirt folded under his bed with the rest of his uniform.

"No… Tsunade had a hell of a time deactivating that seal and then keeping her stable but I'm sure if something happened, we would have known by now. Why don't you go and find her?" Kakashi suggested and Naruto nodded as he went through the flap into the larger part of the tent where Kiiro practically tackled him into hug and he laughed as he hugged her back.

"How are you doing Kiiro?" Naruto asked as she let go of him and she shrugged.

"A little stiff, that's all." She said and Naruto held his laughter back behind a smile because that was exactly what he said and did, answering the question.

"Dobe." Sasuke said from sitting on a futon in the corner and Naruto grinned at him.

"Teme." He said and Sasuke smirked and closed his eyes before looking out the open flap to the outside.

"Bring her back in to rest… She's been out there for hours." Sasuke said with worry. Naruto looked out and nodded as he headed for the opening, following Skylar's slightly fluctuating and healing chakra. Skylar had her back to him, her head slightly tilted down and her red hair platted back as she wore a black t-shirt that she had tied up, showing the bandages that resided around her torso and ribs and a pair of loose track pants, probably full of bandages underneath as well as her arms. The wind blew the loose pieces of her hair a little, almost comforting her as she stood there, looking out amongst the further destroyed land as they were up on a slight elevation and by the cover of the trees at the edge of the battle ground.

He stood next to her, noting her pouch was on and her earphones in her ears. He followed the cable down to a little smashed piece of glass and plastic and frowned, putting his arm across her shoulders lightly as she looked up with red rimmed eyes but her eyes seemed brighter and happier and there was no frown on her face as she looked almost peaceful. She placed one earphone into his ear as he listened to a guitar strumming.

'Feel my way through the darkness/ Guided by a beating heart/ I can't tell when the journey will end/ But I know where to start.

They tell me I'm to young to understand/ Say I'm caught up in a dream/ Well life will pass me by if I don't open up my eyes/ But that's fine by me.

So wake me up when it's all over/ When I'm wiser and I'm older/ All this time I was finding myself and I didn't know I was lost.

Naruto was smiling and laughing at the end of the song as it started up again and she removed the earphones, completely and placed it carefully into her pouch again. They stood there quietly for a while, just a comforting presence as Skylar leaned into Naruto's side.

"My pouch slipped off during my fight with Yusei and smashed my I-pod and it was stuck playing that song. (Avicii ft. Aloe Black Wake Me Up. Again I do not own this song or Naruto, just borrowing the characters.) In a way I think it symbolised two things for me." Skylar said, looking up at Naruto and resting her cheek against his shoulder as he looked down at her.

"And what's that?" Naruto asked, brushing his thumb across her cheek lovingly as he looked down into her eyes.

"I can finally let go of my old life since my I-pod is smashed and I have nothing else from my previous life and secondly… I've opened my eyes and I'm seeing things from a different perspective now because now everything will be a mystery to me as much as it will to anyone else because there's no way for me to cheat anymore." She said with a smirk. "And that song just relates to me and everything now… Kind of ironic really that it would get stuck playing that song."

"That song did have a lot of meaning and scarily ironically related to you." Naruto laughed slightly, looking back at the barened and destroyed land. "You need to get some more rest." Naruto said, feeling the hole still through her chest and looked down at her left hand, noting the tattoo/seal there.

"I guess… I kind of deserve it, saving the world again." She said with a grin and Naruto knocked her gently on the head.

"BAKA! Never do that to me ever again okay!" Naruto joked but she could see the tears glistening in his eyes as her thoughts flashed back to the hole through her chest that wasn't so see 'through' anymore with multiple seals across it now as well as bandages. Skylar took his face in both of her hands and stroked her thumb over the whisker scars on his face with her thumbs before kissing him deeply with the pressure saying she wasn't going anywhere ever again and that her duty was finished as Naruto relaxed into her and closed his eyes as his tears fell.

Naruto picked Skylar up, breaking the kiss as Skylar squeaked slightly with surprise, wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried her back. He placed her into his bed he was using as Kakashi continued to read calmly and Skylar fell asleep under the watchful eyes of her sensei and adoptive big brother. Skylar groaned as she woke up though, not opening her eyes yet.

"Ma, Kakashiii, stop staring at me." Skylar whined out groggily as she rolled carefully onto her back, feeling the full after effects of everything that had happened.

"Not feeling to good huh?" He asked as she pried her eyes open and turned her head to see Kakashi lying down, watching her with his arm tucked under his head.

"You have no idea… Do you know how weirdly horrible it feels to have a hole through your chest?" Skylar half-heartedly snapped at him but then she saw something vunerable hit his eyes, like knocking down a wall… A hole through her chest… Skylar's eyes widened with realisation as tears came to her eyes, she must have looked so much like Rin. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Kakashi I didn't mean…"

"It's fine." He said back harshly as his mismatched eyes met hers and she flinched slightly and swallowed. "What do you think you're doing?" Kakashi asked with worry as he leaned up on his elbow, watching Skylar swing her legs over the side of the bed and sit up with her face scrunched up with pain and effort. She took slow deep breaths with her hands resting on either side of her on the bed as she prepared herself for what was to come next.

Kakashi swallowed, smelling the blood that was slowly soiling her bandages. He sat up fully as Skylar stood up and hobbled over to him, watching the ground with each step she took. Kakashi watched as he unconsciously held out his arms to her as she fell onto him with a hug and he lay back as she panted with the effort against his chest.

"You really do have a death wish don't you?" Kakashi asked with relieved sarcasm as he combed through her hair that was loose from the plat.

"Not particularly, no." She said as she got a little more comfortable and rested her head against his shoulder as he held her close and gently. An image of a younger Kakashi flashed through her brain as she closed her eyes with a smile and rested comfortably against him.

"What does this seal do exactly since you've taken great lengths to hide it?" Kakashi asked as his voice rumbled through her and she could feel his thumb brushing over the back of her left hand.

"I've been waiting to die for a few years now… We know the rinnegan caused a lot of damage and shortened my life quite a lot, just like Kurama use to do on Naruto. I still wait to die everyday." She said, surprisingly calm and Kakashi listened as his chest tightened slightly but continued to listen. "I've come to love this world and actually feel like I belong, my relationships just making me that little more determined to stay alive in battle because I want to come home even at the expense of my career and eventually my life… I'd rather make it home, see everyone one last time and die like that… Which is where this seal comes along." Skylar explained as Kakashi could feel his shirt getting wet and just knew Skylar was crying because of this 'forbidden' jutsu.

"What did you give up just to live through that circumstance?" Kakashi asked gently as he took the tie out of her hair and undid the braid.

"It's called the Life Curse and works similarly to Tsunade and Sakura's seals… It takes my life force to heal any wound be it life threatening or not. The worse it is, the more of my time it takes and I knew that this hole through my chest completely obliterated my heart. It's a curse in a way I only understand now that I've used it because I couldn't die, I couldn't breath, I had no heart and my blood was draining quickly with very little chakra left. It forces your body to use the seal and begins to heal you with unimaginable power pumping through your veins and all you want is the blood of the person who attempted to kill you… It's definitely life's curse." Skylar explained, sniffing slightly as Kakashi was holding her hand now as he watched the seal on her hand almost moving like it had a mind of its own and he could believe Skylar's words.

"If it's such a curse, why did you place it on yourself?" Kakashi asked softly, tucking her head under his chin as he brushed through her hair with his other hand.

"Because… Even if my life was shortened that much more, I wanted to come home to everyone." She said, her voice cracking as her body shook with silent sobs as she buried her face against Kakashi's chest. He rubbed her back and held her tightly against him as she was lying half on top of him as all of the stress washed off of her from these past four years where the world depended on her.

"Sh, it's all right now Skylar… It's all going to be all right." Kakashi said, for once believing in his own words as he cuddled her tighter. Her breathing evened out as she fell asleep against him and Kakashi sighed in content as he played with her red hair, seeing why Naruto enjoys doing it now.

So the fight is over… Kinda sad really but life must go one. There's one more chapter so stay tuned and review please
