Just another night when her fears, memories and past attacked her dreams again. Covered in sweat she yelled out in pain and agony, she just wanted it all to be over. Even if everything was over she still wanted it to be over. Drugs, killing, Blood, Regret, Pain, Curses, Hurt, Betrayal, Percy, Oversight, Division, Amanda, the Shop everything was done and over in the real world. But in her dreams, the nightmares they still tortured her life. All she wanted was for all of it to be over, she wanted to erase every horror that her past gave her, every ghost that haunted her at nights, she wished if every innocent life that was taken because some men and women decided to fuck the law and lives of the innocents, could be given back to them, she wished if she could reunite the family of the innocents. How many more nights she would go through that? How many more nights she would hurt Alex who would just try to comfort her during her nightmares? Waking up almost every morning and seeing a new bruise on the girl who tried to protect her was too much for her to handle.
Many nights she would run away trying to protect Alex from her pain.
While on the other hand, Alex didn't get enough sleep to go through the nightmares. Nikita's frequent nightmares would keep her up. Many nights she would spend finding Nikita who would run away to not hurt Alex. She knew Nikita would feel guilty every time she saw a new bruise caused by her due to her nightmares. She tried to make her understand that she has no problems with it. To let her stay with her. Many nights Nikita would just push Alex out of the room and lock herself inside. But Alex would unlock the door, Nikita knew it was an easy task for Alex and she wanted her to come. But pushing Alex away felt good even though she would just want Alex by her side no matter what. Her selfish side wanted her Alex to be by her side, it would forget the bruises that she caused to Alex. It just wanted Alex nothing else.
It was just another tortured night for the Phoenix.
"Nikita?" Amanda asked and pointed out at Alex who was hanging from the wall. "Bitch! Just let her go!" Nikita yelled as she pulled onto her chains. "You're just going to be chained here like a dog while you'll watch what happens to her just because you're there in her life." Amanda said and Alex yelled out in pain. "Stop! Stop doing that to her!" Nikita yelled and regretted as Alex screamed out again. "I've taught you better manners Nikita." Amanda glared at her and Nikita just looked away, disgusted. "You're ready Nikita?" Amanda asked with her lips curled up in her evil grin.
"I will never let you go free for this." Nikita yelled out again as fear rose in every vein of her body. "She is right now covered in Kerosene. And this... Is what is going to happen to her." Amanda laughed as she turned on the lighter and threw it at Alex. Amanda's laughter mixed with Alex's screams haunted Nikita as she covered her ears and screamed her lungs out trying to end everything. "Look what you did to her Nikita!" Amanda yelled at her and roughly gripped her hair, making her look at Alex. "No... No... I didn't do this..." Nikita cried and cried and fell down to her knees. Screaming and crying, wanting to escape this hell.
"Nikita! Nikita!" Alex yelled and shook Nikita's sweat covered body. Nikita gasps and directly went up falling into Alex's arms. Nikita's sudden force caused both of them to fall back down on the bed. Nikita sobbed and cried out in Nikita's arms. "Make it end. Please." Nikita begged to Alex. She begged to Alex to make it stop every time. Alex hated that even after so many months she can't make it all go away. She wanted it to end so much. She wanted all the demons and bad deeds of Nikita to leave her. It hurt her so much to look at Nikita like that so weak and vulnerable. The once strong and independent Nikita was now crying in her arms hurt and in pain. Tortured by her past, by all the blood that she spilled, by all the bastards who she had to allow to enter her as Josephine. She wondered for how long will Nikita have to go through this. She wondered if hadn't she helped the world enough to lay back the bad deeds?
She didn't do anything by choice.
The worst part for Alex was that at times she would torture Nikita's dreams. Many nights Nikita would wake up fearing Alex, looking at her and then running away, backing off from Alex's touch. Everything hurt Alex so much but no matter the hurt and pain, physical, mental or emotional Alex always stood by her side and helped Nikita. No matter if Nikita's beast acted upon in her nightmares who yelled curses at everyone, for everyone, for Alex too. It told Alex how much she hurt her every time she used to relapse or put herself in danger without thinking about the consequences.
"I know it's difficult Nikita. I know. But I'm here." Alex whispered into her ear, shifting every other thought aside as she brushed her hand through Nikita's hand.
Nikita curled up into a ball and lay down on Alex, as Alex whispered comfort into her ears and brushed her hand through Nikita's hair. Alex held on to Nikita tightly and rose up from the bed with Nikita in her arms. Nikita wrapped her arms around Alex's neck and hid her head into Alex's neck. Alex took her to the bathroom and sat down under the shower with her. She turned on the shower for cold water. She held Nikita's shivering body close to hers. "I'm here." Alex kept whispering into Nikita's ear and kissed her head and neck softly. She started to relax into Alex's arms as the cold water did its expected job and calmed Nikita down.
Nikita slipped her hand under Alex's T-shirt once she was calm enough to have a hold on herself. She needed Alex's touch so much to take the pain away from Alex that she had gone through in her nightmare, even if it didn't happen in real.
"Please." Nikita whispered and without a thought Alex pulled out her T-shirt and exposed her upper body to Nikita. Nikita kissed Alex's bare shoulders and neck. She needed to know that Alex was here. She needed to touch her, feel her, fill up her ears with Alex's moans. Alex gladly accepted Nikita's touch. Only after these nightmares she would find Nikita so soft in her way. Her hands roamed over Nikita's back and went under her tank top. She pulled it out and felt her bare skin. Without taking her eyes away from Alex, Nikita turned the knob on the other side, causing warm water to flow through the shower. Nikita unclasped Alex's bra and threw it away. She cupped her breasts as she marked Alex as her own on her shoulders and neck. Alex moaned under Nikita's touch. She loved the slight burn on her neck and shoulders, a reminder that Nikita owns her.
