David was with his grandmothers, though Caroline wanted to be with him, she knew he was safe. She entered the bedroom, seeing Klaus sitting on the bed, with his shirt off, and Bonnie standing at his back. She smiled as she approached, and stood beside Bonnie.

"Is the arrow poison?" She asked, softly with a hint of worry.

Bonnie shook her head. "Not as far as I can tell, but I will no more when I get it out." She answered, snipping the end of the arrow, causing Klaus to groan.

"Just pull it out, Bonnie!" He shouted, turning his head to glance at them.

When he had collapsed back at the camp, Caroline had feared the worst, but they quickly realized it was not a death wound, but a small one, and he had passed out due to shock. Elijah and Kol had helped carry him back to the castle.

Now he was awake and alert, and Bonnie was getting ready to take out the arrow.

"You better hold him." Bonnie whispered, motioning to Klaus.

Caroline nodded, and grasped his left hand in hers, and held it securely.

Bonnie wrapped her hands around the arrow, and pulled hard.

Klaus let out a loud scream, and tried his best not to pass out from the pain he was feeling. Caroline bit her bottom lip at the sound of his pain, and her eyes drifted to Bonnie, who was examining the arrow. "Well." She whispered, softly.

Bonnie sighed and smiled. "It's clean." She replied, dropping the arrow in a bowl of water, before dipping a rag in the water. Quickly she cleaned the wound, and smiled at Caroline, whose face was flashing with relief. She gave the wound a small stitch, and then left the two alone.

"David?" Klaus asked when the door closed behind Bonnie.

Caroline smiled. "With his grandmothers, I wanted to be here with you. I'll go and get him in a few moments." She answered, nodding.

Klaus nodded in understanding, and shifted on the bed, wincing at the pain shooting through his arm. "Marcel?" He asked, hating that he wasn't the one to dispatch Marcel.

Caroline's eyes grew dark. "Dead by poison, thanks to Bonnie." She answered, lowering her eyes for a moment.

"Why did Bonnie kill him?" He asked, absently.

"He killed her grandmother a few years back." Caroline answered, lifting her gaze. "Bonnie never knew his name, but she remembered his face. When he attacked us a few weeks ago, Bonnie thought it was him, but with everything going on, she wasn't sure." She paused, fiddling with his hands. "Until she found out about Damon's friend." She concluded, stroking the back of his hands.

He nodded, and caressed her hands in his. "And you?" He asked, watching her carefully.

She shrugged. "What about me?" She asked, lifting her gaze to his.

He smiled. "Are you okay?" He asked, searching her eyes.

She sighed. "I have my son back, and my husband is still here with me, so I'm doing," She paused, leaning forward. "Wonderful." She whispered, kissing his lips.

He chuckled and returned her kiss, lifting his left hand to stroke her face and thread his fingers through her hair.

She pulled back a fraction to gaze into his eyes. "And you?" She asked in a whisper, softly kissing his lips.

He smiled, and kissed her lightly. "For the first time, in a long time," He whispered, kissing her. "I am ecstatically happy." He whispered, kissing her in between the words.

She smiled, and tilted her head to the side. "I'm glad." She whispered, brushing her nose over his softly.

The door opened and Caroline turned her head with a smile.

Elizabeth walked in, carrying little David in her arms. David turned around, and let out a small cry of glee.

Liz smiled. "He kept fussing after you left. I think he wants to be with his parents." She explained, laughing.

Klaus shook his head, and gazed at his wife. Caroline laughed, and shifted to sit on her knees, as her mother approached their bed. David reached for his parents, and Caroline took her son in her arms.

Liz smiled, and bowed her head. "I'll leave you three alone." She whispered, smiling at Klaus, who nodded, before she left room.

David turned his head, and reached his right hand out towards his father. Klaus smiled, and grasped his son's hand lightly.

Caroline smiled at the interaction. It was a beautiful moment, and she felt the tears fall down her cheeks.

She shook her head when David started to move towards his father, and she held him back. "No, sweetie," She began, shaking her head. "Daddy's hurt." She whispered, kissing her son on the head, though he whined.

Klaus smiled, and held out his non-injured arm. "It's okay, Caroline." He replied, softly.

Caroline hesitated, wanting to let her son be near his father, but also to make sure her husband didn't pull his stitches, and hurt himself more.

In the hesitation, David used the opportunity to move out of his mother's arms towards his father.

Klaus held back a chuckle as he took his son in his arms. Caroline glared at them, but Klaus could tell that she was playing, and loved the sight before her.

She bowed her head, and moved to lay it, carefully, on her husband's injured shoulder. She bit her bottom lip as David laid his head on his dad's bare chest, and closed his eyes.

"He's home." She whispered, touching her son's head softly.

Klaus smiled, and nodded. "Yes, he is." He whispered, turning his head to look at his wife.

Caroline smiled with tears in her eyes, and she saw Klaus' eyes filling up with tears as well. Lifting her head, she softly kissed his lips, before resting her head on his shoulder once more.

Everything had turned out for them. Their son was home, and they were finally happy. It was everything they could ever have wanted, and desired. They were a family once again.

Bonnie sighed as she rocked her daughter to sleep, after everything that she had been through this day; she needed to be with her daughter.

She felt the tears fall from her eyes, as she closed them. She had killed a man, and not just any man: the man who had killed her Grams.

She clutched her daughter tightly in her arms, and let out a silent sob. She cried for the memory she held of her Grams. She cried for the revenge she had committed, and she cried for the little girl in her arms.

Bellona Sheila Bennett Mikaelson would grow up one day and be proud of her heritage, just like Bonnie was. That was the one wish she wanted.

She stood up from her chair, and carried her sleeping daughter to her crib, and gently laid her down against the soft blankets, and tucked her in.

Placing a soft, tender kiss on her forehead, Bonnie stood up, and smiled as her daughter made little fists with her hands.

It was a beautiful moment, and perfect. She turned from the crib, and walked to the bed. Sitting down on the mattress, she let the tears fall once more.

She felt hands move over her face, and she opened her eyes to see her husband kneeling in front of her.

"It's over, Bonnie." Kol whispered, searching her green eyes.

Bonnie smiled weakly and nodded. "I hope so." She whispered, lowering her gaze to her hands in her lap.

Kol smiled, and stroked her hair with his right hand. "Believe it, Bonnie lass." He whispered, leaning forward to gently kiss her cheek.

Bonnie sighed, and closed her eyes. "I want her to know everything when the time is right." She whispered, strongly.

Kol smiled and nodded. "Everything." He agreed, watching her smile.

"Hold me, brown eyes." She whispered, scooting back on the bed.

Kol nodded, and moved to sit next to her on the bed. Taking her in his arms, he held her as she wept into his chest.

He knew exactly what she cried for, and he didn't say a word. He didn't have to. He loved her enough, and knew her enough to know that holding her was the best thing he could possibly do at that moment.

Elijah entered the room, and paused looking at Katherine pacing the room with their daughter in her arms.

She paused, and turned to him with her dark hair flying in the air, and her brown eyes filled with worry, and then relief.

"I was worried." She stated, though she didn't have to.

Elijah closed the door behind him, and walked over to her. "David's safe. Marcel's dead, and everything has been taken care of." He replied, sighing.

Katherine examined his leg and frowned. "What happened?" She demanded, lifting her eyes to his with a hard glare.

He shrugged. "I took a scratch on the leg, don't worry. It's superficial." He answered, casually.

She rolled her eyes. "Nothing is superficial, Elijah." She stated, bouncing her daughter in her arms.

He sighed, and touched her face tenderly with his right hand. "You worry too much." He whispered, stroking her face softly.

She sighed. "Of course, I worry. You are my husband. I'm going to worry, whether you want me to or not." She stated, moving away from him to put little Aliyah in the crib.

He sighed, and moved to wrap his arms around her waist. "I'm sorry if I caused you worry." He whispered, placing a chaste kiss on her neck.

Katherine melted into his embrace, and laid her head on his shoulder. "You don't have to be, Elijah." She whispered, turning in his embrace. "As long as you return to me and Aliyah, everything will be fine." She added, wrapping her arms around his neck, and threaded her fingers through his hair.

Elijah smiled, and bent his head. Gently kissing her lips, he sighed as he pulled back. "I love you, Katerina." He whispered, kissing her once more.

She smiled and returned the kiss. "And I love you, Elijah." She whispered, keeping her lips on his.

He smiled against them, and picked her up as their passion heated up between them. Unfortunately, the wound on his leg refused to let him carry her, so he fell on the floor with her on top of him with a hard thump, even though he softened the landing a bit with his other leg and arms.

Katherine glared at him. "That'll teach you to carry someone when you have been injured." She scolded, nodding her head.

He smiled, and brushed her dark hair behind her ear. "It was worth it, just to get you in my arms," He paused, pulling her head down to his lips. "And on the floor." He added, seductively.

Katherine shivered. "You are horrible, and our daughter is only a few feet away." She whispered, as his lips moved over her ear.

He smiled. "She's sleeping, and besides, I haven't made love to you in weeks." He whispered, nibbling her ear.

She shuddered. "You made love to me two days ago." She stated, trying to reason with him.

He chuckled and nibbled. "Feels like weeks." He whispered, moving his lips down to her neck.

She let out a laugh, and shook her head. "You are just horrible, Sir Mikaelson." She stated, looking down at him.

He smiled. "Only with you, my love." He whispered, pulling her down and kissed her lips.

Suddenly, Aliyah let out a small wail.

Katherine pulled up and glared down at him. He shrugged. "Don't look at me. You laughed." He stated, smiling.

She shook her head, and stood up. Elijah stayed on the ground and stared up at her as she picked their daughter up, and cooed at her.

It was a perfect moment.

Stefan entered the small cottage, and sighed at the sight. Esther stepped back from the small bed, where Rebekah was resting, with a small bundle in her arms.

"I…I…I don't understand." He whispered, walking closer to his wife.

Esther smiled and lowered her gaze. "Rebekah is a little early, but everything is fine. You have a healthy son, Stefan." She whispered, touching her son-in-law's shoulder lightly.

Stefan sat gently next to his wife, and lightly touched his son's face. "We have a son." He whispered, looking up at his wife.

Rebekah smiled and nodded to him. "We have a son." She repeated, with tears filling her eyes.

Stefan smiled, and leaned forward to kiss his wife softly on the lips before looking down at his newborn son.

Rebekah followed his gaze for a moment before raising her eyes to study him. "I thought of a name." She whispered, softly.

Stefan lifted his gaze to her, and waited. Rebekah smiled, tearfully. "Damon." She whispered, watching her husband's face.

He smiled, and closed his eyes for only a moment, before opening them to look at her. "I like it." He remarked, looking down at his son.

A perfect name for his son, and a perfect reminder of the brother he would never forget.

~Days Later~

The Mikaelson family gathered in the throne room, some were sitting, some standing, but all were happy.

The children were being held by their mothers, and even Jean, Vaughn, Sophie, and Davina, were being included.

A small bearded man stood in front of an easel with a paint brush in hand, and with each stroke he captured each member of the family, as they were.

Caroline managed to turn her gaze to her husband, and found him gazing at her with such love in his eyes, that she couldn't look away.

Everything was perfect, and for the second time in her life, Caroline was at peace, for the first was when she fell in love with a Rogue.

A man who had kidnapped her, and she still loved him. She would always love him, and he would always love her.

As the painter painted the portrait of the royal family, he painted Klaus and Caroline as they were, staring into each other's eyes.

It was a perfect moment.
