~Nineteen Years Later~
Caroline smiled as she straightened her husband's blue tunic, as they stood in the center of their bedroom. His hair was cut short, just as it was when they had first met, and his face held a worn look with few wrinkles, but not many. His eyes were still the cerulean blue she loved, and his smile still made her knees weaken.
"Who would have thought this day would ever come?" Klaus asked, reaching forward to grasp his wife by the waist, and bring her closer to him.
Every time he gazed at her, he still couldn't believe how beautiful she was. She hadn't aged at all. Her hair was still the bright blonde he remembered, her eyes still sparkled, and her smile lit his heart every time.
Caroline smiled once more, and felt the tears fill her eyes. She lifted her gaze into her husband's and sighed. "A part of me doesn't want it to happen." She whispered, shaking her head.
Klaus sighed, and touched her face gently. "There isn't much we can do, Swan. It's his decision." He responded, caressing her face.
She nodded. "I know." She whispered, dipping her head. Her sparkling blue dress clung to her body, showing off her figure, which, despite giving birth to three children, she still kept. Her hair was pulled halfway back, and gave her the appearance of a Queen and woman.
He smiled, and tilted her head up to gaze into her eyes. "It's going to be alright, Caroline." He whispered, kissing her lips.
She sighed. "He's still my little boy, Nik." She whispered, tearing up.
He smiled and nodded. "I know, love, and so does he." He whispered, searching her eyes.
Caroline sighed, and wrapped her arms around his waist, and laid her head on his chest. "Our little boy has grown up." She whispered, sadly.
He smiled and kissed her head as he held her in the silence of their bedroom.
The door opened, and Klaus sighed as their youngest daughter entered the room, followed by their eldest daughter.
The youngest looked just like her father, while the eldest looked just like her mother, for that Klaus loved.
"Mother, are you alright?" The youngest asked, softly.
Caroline smiled and straightened. "I'm fine, Clara." She whispered, touching her daughter's face gently.
Clara smiled her dimpled smile, which resembled her father, and nodded. "No, you're not. You're worried about David." She stated, reading her mother's face.
Caroline smiled, and glanced at her husband. "She's your daughter." She stated, shaking her finger at Klaus.
Klaus chuckled, and moved towards his youngest. He wrapped his arm around her waist, and kissed her head. "Your mother is just worried that David is leaving for good." He stated, watching his wife.
Clara shrugged her shoulders. "Why? He's just getting married." She stated, glancing at her older sister, who was rolling her eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me, Esther Jean." She replied, firmly.
Esther, the eldest daughter, stepped over to her mother, and touched her arm lightly. "Mother, everything is going to be fine." She whispered, encouragingly.
Caroline smiled, and grasped her daughter's hand lightly. "I know. It's just hard when you watch your child grow up and marry…" She trailed off, tears filling her eyes.
"Oh, mom," Clara remarked, moving from her father towards Caroline. Both daughters wrapped their arms around their mother, and Klaus looked on with small pride.
The door opened once more, and David entered. Standing about the same height as his father, he was the spitting image of his father, with curly sandy blonde hair, cerulean blue eyes, and a dimpled smile. He was his father's son, although he had his mother's temperament, and for that Klaus was grateful, though much could not be said for his youngest daughter, Clara.
David sighed as he approached his mother. "Mom, are you alright?" He asked, worriedly.
Klaus smiled. "She's alright, just being a mom." He replied, touching his son's shoulder.
David smiled, and nodded. "Well, everything is set outside in the garden. Aunt Rebekah has taken charge over everything, and almost got into a shouting match with Jean and Sophie." He replied, shaking his head.
Klaus closed his eyes. "Damn it, Rebekah." He whispered, shaking his head.
Caroline glared at him. "Niklaus!" She shouted, motioning to their children.
Klaus smiled, and walked over to his wife. His daughters moved from their mother, and watched with smiles on their faces as Klaus kissed his wife lovingly.
"Dad, you do realize the wedding is in two hours?" Clara asked, with a giggle.
Klaus pulled back and sent a glare to his daughter. "I'm aware." He returned, wrapping his arm around Caroline's waist.
David shook his head. "One good thing will come out of marrying." He stated, walking over to his sisters. "I'll get away from you." He added, running his fingers over Clara and Esther's hair.
The girls shrieked, and started after him, as he took off, out of the room and down the hall.
Caroline sighed. "How did we ever survive these years?" She asked, turning to her husband.
Klaus smiled and shrugged. "Like we did everything else." He whispered, leaning forward. "Together." He added, kissing her gladly.

Jean wiped her hands over her eyes, as she fought the tears threatening to fall down her face.
"Mom, everything will be alright." Sophie Anne remarked, stepping down from the stool in her room. She was a vision with her father's dirty blonde hair, and mother's ebony eyes. She lifted her white gown, and sat down next to her mother on the bed. "Nothing is going to change, mom." She whispered, pushing her mother's body with hers.
Jean groaned and tossed her head back. "I hate emotional scenes." She whispered, wiping her face once more.
Sophie Anne giggled. "Mother." She stated, glaring softly at her. "This is a happy day." She replied, placing her hands delicately on her lap. "I'm getting married, because I love him, isn't that what you wanted for me?" She asked, tossing her head to the side, allowing her hair to flow to the side.
Jean sighed, and closed her eyes. "Of course that's what I wanted, and I still do." She stated, standing up, and moved to the window.
Sophie Anne sighed. "Mother, David is a good man. He loves me, and I love him." She replied, standing up, following her mother to the window.
Jean nodded, and turned her face away from her daughter's prying eyes. "I know." She whispered, bowing her head. "It's just…" She began, and trailed off, shaking her head. "My little girl's getting married." She finished, choking on the words. "God dammit, I hate being emotional." She stated, shaking her head.
Sophie Anne shook her head, and moved around to look her mother in the eyes. "Mother," She began in a scolding tone.
Jean rolled her eyes. "I know. No cussing." She stated, shrugging her shoulders.
Sophie Anne shook her head. "Do you want me to get father?" She asked, raising her brows just like her mother.
Jean shook her head, and glared at her daughter. "That's supposed to be my line." She stated, shaking her finger at her daughter.
Her daughter smiled. "Well, today, I have the authority." She stated, proudly.
Jean shook her head, and let her eyes fill up with tears. "Don't you start getting bossy on me. You are not too old for me to take you over my knee!" She stated, though she couldn't stop the smile on her lips.
Sophie Anne smiled and shook her head. "You'd have to catch me first." She stated, watching her mother smile.
"I highly doubt you will get very far with that dress on." Jean remarked motioning to her daughter's wedding dress.
Her daughter laughed loudly. "You would be surprised, mother." She whispered, winking.
Jean let out a loud laugh, and shook her head. "You are my daughter alright." She whispered, with a laugh. "But you are also your father's." She added, shaking her head.
Sophie Anne smiled tenderly. "I'd say that is a plus." She whispered, leaning forward.
"What's a plus?"
Jean and Sophie Ann turned around, and both smiled. Vaughn entered the room, and paused when he saw his daughter standing the middle with a satin and lace white dress, which came off the shoulder, showing off her light tanned skin. Her brown hair was halfway up with a flower headband threaded in her hair.
"Oh, Sophie Anne, you are a beautiful, just like your mother." He whispered, kissing his daughter on the cheek.
Sophie Anne smiled and blushed at her father's compliment. "Thanks, daddy." She whispered, kissing him back.
Jean bowed her head, and closed her eyes. Her daughter was getting married. She felt a kiss on her cheek, and she opened her eyes.
"Don't worry, Bonnie Jean." Vaughn whispered, softly.
She rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile at the words. "Alright, well, then, let's go to a wedding." She whispered, moving away.
Vaughn smiled at his daughter, and she chased after her mother. She placed her hands on her mother's shoulders, and wrapped them around her from behind.
"I love you, mama." She whispered, softly.
Jean sighed, and touched her daughter's hands. "I love you too, baby." She whispered, keeping her voice low.
Vaughn sighed, as he walked up to his girls, and watched them through his tear filled eyes. It was a moving moment, and he wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

The atmosphere outside in the garden was warm and light. The sun beat down as the summer breeze blew the rose scent over the guests.
The family sat down in the small chairs set in a perfect setting on the grass. Caroline walked through the aisle on Klaus' arm, and sat down in the first row of chairs, she smiled at the rest of the family, who were the only ones in attendance. She turned her gaze to her son, who was standing in front of the priest, and she smiled, holding back her tears.
Klaus grasped her hand in his, and squeezed it gently. She smiled at him, and turned her gaze back towards the front.
Jean walked down, alone, and sat down beside Sophie, who was talking to Davina, until Jean sat down.
"Are you alright?" Sophie asked, softly.
Jean nodded. "Yeah." She stated, but Sophie could see the truth.
"She's going to be just fine, Jeanie." She whispered, smiling.
Jean nodded, and they all stood up when they heard a flute being played. They turned to see a young woman and her father walk down the aisle towards the makeshift altar.
Caroline held her breathe as Sophie Anne made her way to David. Her son was almost married. Her little boy, the one who had been kidnapped almost twenty years ago was getting married. Her heart tugged, and she leaned more into her husband, who wrapped his arm around his wife.
As the vows were said, Jean and Klaus turned their heads to look at each other. They smiled in secret for they knew the truth.
As David leaned forward to kiss his new wife, Jean and Klaus, everyone knew their lives would be forever joined.
As family.
