Revelation 1:8 – I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending...
Kenneth followed Seras down to the dungeon without saying a word. Besides he didn't want to set her off so she could scream again. The woman was unusually loud for his tastes.
"Well here is your room Captain." Seras said unenthusiastically
"Thank you very much. Seras Victoria. And please, just call me Kenneth. I don't really have a military position here so it doesn't seem right." Kenneth put an emphasis on her name considering she took anything else in a negative manner. "However, be ready in the next ten minutes for a training session for the Hellsing Hell fighters." He grinned.
"WHAT!? But today is a Sunday." Seras let out a sigh.
He sighed. "Listen, is it always going to be this way, you yelling at everything? Because surely being a vampire, I'd rather you were a quiet as that other one, it's much more pleasant, and you would probably be scarier."
"Oh Master is far from quiet. He laughs louder than I yell." She held her head down giggling slightly. "And I don't even yell that loud."
Kenneth chuckled and then smiled. "You're kinda cute." he walked into his room and shut the door.
Seras face turned pink, until she noticed he said, kinda cute. "Well what's that supposed to mean?!" she thought to herself huffing into her room to get dressed in proper attire and prepare for training.
Deeper into the dungeons Alucard was pacing back and forth as if in a deep thought whilst having a conversation with Integra.
"Master, do you think, this is a good idea?"
"Are you questioning my actions Alucard?"
He chuckled. "No, I just simply asked if you thought it was a good idea."
"And what other choice would I have, between incidents building up, you pestering me about having men."
There was a silence.
"Alucard..." Integra sighed softly.
"Yes Master?" Alucard grinned at the unusual sweetness of her tone and suddenly stopped pacing. Maybe she was going to ask him to join her. Maybe she was about to confess her attraction to him, maybe-.
"What have you been up to?"
"Are you asking about my day, Master?" he mused.
"No. You've been acting off the past couple of days and I want to know what you've been up to." And there was her usual cold tone of voice, which granted, Alucard enjoyed but sometimes wish she'd give it a break so maybe just once they could have a regular conversation about killing things.
Alucard sighed at this, his expression now deadpanned.
The silences annoyed Integra. She couldn't look him in the eye to attempt to read his faces since they were so far from each other.
"You're hiding something from me." She thought in an almost fascinated tone.
"Oh? But Master, I am hiding nothing from you, all you have to do is ask." His laughed echoed through Integra's head. "Maybe you want to come down here so we can talk."
Integra sat in her office narrowing her eyes at the conversation she just had with her vampire Alucard contemplating if she should take that trip deep into the dungeons to see what exactly he's been up to, finally finished with signing the papers of the new recruits. Her wrist was on fire.
Walter walked in just at the right moment with a pack of ice and handed it to her, she place it on her right wrist, he was a fair distraction for her thoughts.
"Have you found anything on The Masquerade yet Walter?"
He frowned. "No Sir, I've searched everywhere nothing in our files, nothing in libraries, and there isn't even remotely anything on the internet about it. Bal masque pops up every time-also known as a Masquerade ball" He paused. "But there is one thing." Walter pulled a manila folder from behind his back.
She looked up at him. "And what's that."
"Sir, you may want to look at this. It is about Kenneth Belmont."
Integra took the folder and searched it over, everything Kenneth said was covered in the files, she wasn't sure what she was supposed to be searching for.
"What am I looking for Walter?"
"Well, Belmont is only his middle name Sir Integra."
"What's his last name then?"
Walter walked around to the side of the desk and moved his finger over one of the files pointing Integra towards the source. "Tepes... Sir."
Integra eyes widened.
Kenneth walked into his room snickering at Seras.
"Man that girl's a dame." He said to himself. He walked over to a radio and spoke into it.
"Hey Kano, you and the boys settled in?" Kenneth waited for a response, checking if his radio was on.
"HEY BOSS-" the feedback knocked Kenneth back and he turned the volume down.
"The boys are settled we're good to start drills in the yard when you're ready. Also, Boss do you think you can get a layout of the mansion? I'm going to need to give the Kids homework."
"Aye, I'll ask Sir Integra about the security procedures, Seras Victoria will be joining our section for training."
"Another woman? This organization is full of surprises. Well, I'll see you outside boss!"
Suddenly, Kenneth wasn't feeling so good. It's as if his whole body seized to function and he fell over like a statue.
Kano was in the barracks office cleaning his guns. Thinking back to when he first met Kenneth hundreds of years ago. They've been an almost inseparable duo like blood brothers, and Kano owed him almost everything for saving his life. Suddenly the room was freezing and Kano smiled.
"To what do I owe the pleasure, of Britain's famous vampire, Alucard?" He said not looking up from his task.
Alucard was laughing in a chair adjacent to Kano. His eyes fixated on him as if he was an exotic animal being seen for the first time. "What are you?" he asked in amusement.
"I am a man." Kano said as he stopped cleaning his guns and look directly into Alucard's red gleaming eyes. As he blinked, the color yellow was his eyes, blinking not a second later to their normal color of green. "And a Wolf."
Alucard pulled out his Jackal and aimed it at Kano's head grinning madly. "You are not a mere hybrid."
"Arg!" He held his stomach throwing up his own blood; he was as white as powder.
Able to now move, Kenneth dragged himself into his bathroom.
His hair was dampened with sweat. He managed to pull himself up to look into the mirror, but when he looked he did not see his reflection.
There was a knock on the door.
"Um, Kenneth, are you alright?"
Seras had heard the yell from outside of his room while waiting for him to go train.
He wiped his mouth and struggled to stand straight, still fixated on the reflection in the mirror.
"How is this even possible? What the hell is going on!?"
Kenneth squeezed his eyes shut and spat out more blood; it was way too much for his own good. The sink wouldn't hold anymore so it spread out onto the floor under his feet. Struggling to keep his balance Kenneth had to lift himself up once more and focus on the mirror.
"Ritcher?"
The man in the mirror smiled an evil smile. Kenneth looked behind himself to see no one, he stumbled once more.
"No... No, I passed out and now I'm dreaming. You're dead, you died!" He was trying to convince himself shaking his head violently.
"No son, I did not die." The man said.
"Get out of my head!" Kenneth's ears began to bleed it felt like something was drilling into his skull slowly, teasing the bone ready to strike.
"Don't you speak to your father like that!" Kenneth felt the drill enter his head, his eyes rolled back but he kept his balance, unable to speak.
"It's time son." Ritcher said.
Kenneth was in agonizing pain. His head was throbbing.
"To take back, and get vengeance for your mother's death."
The feeling of the drill left Kenneth's head, he stood shaking. "Wh - What?"
"No one every told you?"
"T-T-Told me Wh - What?"
Ritcher Snarled. "That Dracula, now known as Alucard killed your Mother, my wife, Maria Belmont."
"N-No, how, he's a family friend, he wouldn't have. Just...GET OUTTA MY HEAD!"
Kenneth grabbed his knife on his side and stabbed himself through his skull without hesitation.
Seras had heard enough, she kicked down the door, and to her eyes she saw a bloody massacre. Blood in the toilet, the walls, the mirror, and pooled all over the bathroom floor.
Oh shit, oh shit, what's going on!? Seras thought to herself.
Despite the bloody mess of a bathroom, Seras picked Kenneth up and went to her only known source that could fix the problem.
"Must... Get... To Master."
Alucard walked into Integra's office while she and Walter were discussing something. Integra looked up.
"Alucard, is there something you want to tell me?"
He frowned. "Do you feel it?"
She and Walter both lifted a brow. "Feel what?"
He walked over to her desk grinning madly. "There's something here."
BOOM
Seras bust through the door carrying Kenneth, she fell and dropped him at Alucard's heel.
Alucard turned around still grinning and Integra stood slamming her hands on her desk.
"What is the meaning of this?"
"Sir...Master...Kenneth...he..he...killed himself...blood everywhere...in the bathroom...talking to himself...his father...he...he." Seras was scared and out of breath she didn't need.
Alucard looked at the limp Kenneth then back at Seras with a bored expression.
"He killed himself!"
"He'll survive."
"He's only half a vampire, how he hell is he going to survive a fatal wound Master!?"
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" Integra shouted needing to understand what the hell was going on.
"He was talking to his father, but no one was in the bathroom, and no one walked out of that room..."
Alucard walked over to Integra's couch and sat down. Integra was baffled by his reaction. They possibly have an intruder in the manner and this vampire was being a bloody idiot.
"Now now Master. Have a seat, light a cigar, and prepare to watch a show. Police girl, grab the mirror in hallway out there, Walter we're going to need your wires to subdue the boy into a chair oh and a needle."
"Alucard explain yourself, now." Integra was confused and didn't like it one bit.
Alucard sat back on the couch and crossed his legs looking up as if lost in a thought. "Is anyone here willing to donate a little blood?" He looked to Integra specifically with an ear to ear grin spilling across his face.
"Why must you play games at this time Alucard?"
Integra grabbed her letter opener before Alucard's hand stopped her. He wiggled his finger in front of her. Sitting on her desk he took the needle and handed it to her. Integra rolled up her sleeve and stuck the needle in the biggest vein in her arm.
Alucard sniffed the air at the smell of her blood intently watching her as she filled the needle.
"Only half." He said stopping her. Walter quickly bandaged the puncture. And both he and Integra turned to see Alucard use the same needle on his arm.
"Really, Alucard!?" Integra said before noticing that he wasn't injecting himself with her blood, but mixing his blood with hers.
Alucard didn't remove his gaze from her as he filled the rest of the needle with his blood. The vial shined neon red when he tapped the needle mixing the blood more.
"Oh the wonders our blood can do when mixed." Alucard chuckled deeply hoping off of her desk as he walked toward the presumably dead Kenneth.
"Police girl. Place the mirror across from him."
Seras placed the long mirror on the opposite end of the wall facing Kenneth. She was taken aback along with Walter and Integra, to see that the reflection of the mirror was not Kenneth's
As the man walked out of the mirror with no one's attention on him Alucard injected the vial of mixed blood into Kenneth's neck.
The man walked out of the mirror. "Oh, no...Hold your applause please, thank you, thank you!"
"Who the hell are you?" Integra asked.
He put a hand on his stomach and bowed. "I am Richter Belmont, Kenneth's father and Maria's husband."
Kenneth then awoke gasping for air while checking his surroundings. He felt the back of his head where he felt the drill and nothing was there.
"It was an illusion boy. However I'm not sure how you're exactly recovered a wound like that would have taken you a few days to heal. Enough time for me to do my business."
"Fuck you." Kenneth spat.
"Shut up boy." Richter moved his hand and Kenneth flew across the room.
Walters's wires shot out and Richter flicked his hand again throwing Walter over top of Kenneth. Seras eyes glowed red as she raced for Richter. He used both hands this time stopping the young vampire in her place.
"Have a seat. Girl." Seras instantly sat on the floor unable to move.
Richter took note of his surroundings. "Hellsing Manor. My god, they really did capture you Count."
Alucard laughed as he shrugged.
"What is the meaning of this?" Integra interjected.
"Oh, oh look at you." Richter sized up Integra. "You look just like her." He looked back at Alucard. "So it is true, you really are pathetic, you know that. The famed Director of Hellsing has tamed Dracula himself."
"What the hell are you on about Richter?" Kenneth was standing. "Alucard isn't Dracula. Dracula killed my mom and Van Hellsing killed Dracula."
Something beeped loudly.
"Alucard, you really haven't told anyone? How long do you think you could keep your secret?" he laughed like a hyena looking around again at the confused faces. "No one... No one knows?!" He fell down laughing like a maniac. "I guess I still have a chance here. Give me a few more minutes guys." Richter talked catching his breath from laughing so hard. He stood up straightening his clothes out then looked over at Kenneth who was now standing beside a very quiet Alucard.
"Alucard is Dracula Kenneth; Hellsing thought it was clever spelling his name backwards as if no one would notice the obvious. But I guess you didn't so they fooled you." He snickered.
Suddenly Kenneth took out his whip and it grasped around Richter's neck.
There was another beep. "Ah fuck, I see you still carry this fucking thing around." He paused. "I hate this fucking thing!"
"One more word out of you and I'll snap you in two." Kenneth growled.
"What is the purpose of this?!" Integra stood, was done with this side show.
There was another beep. "Shit guys, no faith in me..." He paused."Fine, since this will be over shortly. I'll let you know, I killed your useless whoring mother, because she was fucking THIS vampire right here." He pointed to Alucard. "How I know? Here's something else that's obvious to you idiots, neither one of us was a vampire. You're not just of the Belmont bloodline, your last name is actually Tepes. You're from the order of-"
"Who do you work for?" Integra asked cutting him off now pointing her gun at Richter.
Something beeped and this time everyone heard it.
"I'm so sorry, I'm about to miss all the family drama, but I've already told you all too much. They heard, but they have the information they need."
Suddenly Richter burst into a vivid blue flame.
"Long live The Masquerade!" He said while burning to a crisp.
Integra was stressed out, she sent Walter and Seras off to go check on the term 'Long live The Masquerade', and at least they had a phrase now. Maybe they would find more on this Masquerade business. Sitting in front of her was her servant and his dhampir son.
"So ...Alucard had an affair with a human, and Richter scorned him. Putting his soul in his stepson's body and seeking revenge." She had a feeling it was more to the story.
Integra sat with a cigar, hands folded.
Kenneth bent over in the chair was rubbing his temples; Alucard sat back in the chair with his legs crossed.
She blew out smoke. "Why did you not tell me Alucard?"
"As said my Master, you did not ask." He smirked.
"Well, why didn't you tell me?" Kenneth narrowed his eyes at Alucard.
"I didn't expect to ever see you." There was sadness to Alucard's voice that Integra never heard before.
"Oh..."
It was awkwardly silent.
"Well, although it's shocking news to all of us that Alucard has a son."
Also awkward to say. She thought to herself.
"Nothing has changed. We conduct business as usual Kenneth, and Alucard..."
He looked at her.
"Any more secrets I need to know?"
"Is there something else you'd like to know?" A sardonic grin spilled across his face.
A quick expression came to her face, and then regained its normal status.
"Dismissed."
Kenneth stood, still rubbing his head. He walked around the chair.
Alucard was staring at Integra.
"I am deeply sorry, for not mentioning it before. How are you my son?
"How am I, really? You knew this whole time, from the first moment you fucking saw me, the first moment you knew I was a Belmont, you mentioned nothing of a son and now you're asking how I am? You have some nerve."
"I am a vampire with a son whom I've just met, a son that I have only seen and felt in the womb of his mother, and when he got older I was nothing but a corpse, I could no longer feel you, I could feel nothing. I've see my face in you but I wasn't sure, a lot can change with as long as we've been alive. And I say again, I am sorry, I was almost sure that part of my life died along with who I was."
There was a brief silence. Integra ignored that fact Alucard was staring at her the whole time he was speaking to Kenneth as if he was apologizing to her as well. She averted her eyes to her paperwork.
"What did you inject me with? I feel weird."
"You'll be fine, unfortunately because you are not a full vampire I had to inject you with me and my Master's blood, so you can heal quicker."
"How did you know?"
"Oh her blood does wonders, but together, our blood is an incredibly unstoppable force." Alucard grinned.
"You speak as if you have a fondness for your Master, than a servant usually would." Kenneth said forgetting they were still standing in front of Integra.
Alucard laughed deeply breaking his gaze from Integra's. "Is that so?" Alucard replied in Romanian instead.
Kenneth then realized his surroundings and his face flushed with pink and he cleared his throat. "Uhh , I'll take my leave. Sir." He awkwardly bowed to Integra and rushed out of her office.
Alucard started off toward the door.
"Alucard..."
"No secrets, right Master?" He turned to look at her.
He caught her eyes; Integra didn't speak, out loud that is.
"A good evening to you. My Master" He disappeared.
That whole display was something Integra had never seen from her years knowing Alucard. It was almost… Human. She thought.
