Chapter 2
As Wendy looked at her brothers, she was shaking. She had tears streaming down her face.
"P-Peter." She said again and fell to the ground with a sob. The boys all ran to her aid.
"Wendy-bird, don't cry." The twins said patting her back gently. Wendy looked at them all through tearful eyes.
"Oh John, it was horrible." She cried as John went to hug her, she cried into his shoulder.
"What happened at Neverland Wendy?" He asked. Wendy shuddered at the memory.
"Oh John it was absolutely horrid! It was so dark and twisted. Plants were dying, the water was murky. The clouds were dark and grey. But then…out of nowhere…this scream rang out." She said shaking, "John it was him! It was Peter! Something bad was happening to him I know it! Oh John what are we going to do?" She asked. Jon looked at the boys and frowned.
"Wendy-lady…did…did you see a…pirate ship by chance?" Slightly asked nervously. Wendy closed her eyes and tried to remember. Then she saw it, she had no idea how she could have missed it, but ti was there. The Jolly Roger.
"Y-Yes there was Slightly." She said furrowing her eyebrows. The lost boys gasped.
"HOOK!" They all shouted. Wendy, John, and Michael jumped.
"Hook? But he's dead." John said fixing his glasses.
"As far as we know. But…but what if he survived?!" Cubby said. Tootles gave a fearful look.
"Oh boys….do you really think Hook is behind this?" She asked. The boys shrugged.
"Maybe, but as far as we know, it could be another threat." Nibs said. John nodded.
"Precisely, that is why we must first address the problem if we are to find the crook." He said. Wendy glanced at her brother.
"But John…how do we address the problem if we don't know what it is?" She asked. John smiled at Wendy.
"Well through you of course." He said. Wendy gave him a quizzical look.
"Me? But how?" She asked. John smiled.
"Don't you see Wendy? You have the closest connection with Neverland because Peter cares about you more. So if Peter wanted to tell you something or stay connected with you, he'd just send a sign or something." He said. Wendy gasped.
"Like the pain! He wanted to tell me that something was wrong so he gave me a feeling of the pain he is going through!" She said. John nodded.
"Exactly." He replied. The lost boys and Michael looked at them with awe.
"How did you figure that out?" Michael asked. John smiled and winked.
"It's easy if you pay attention to things." He said. Everyone laughed and nodded in agreement.
"So then what are we going to do?" Wendy asked. Everyone glanced at John and waited for an answer.
Neverland
Deep, in Hangman's tree, was the beaten and bruised body of the mighty Peter Pan. He looked at his nemesis with unimaginable fear.
"W-why?" He asked as he curled into an even tighter ball. Hook chuckled dangerously.
"Why?" He mocked, "Because you always spoil my plans! You steal from me! You take what's not yours and then you have the audacity to go and treat it as a game." Hook said enraged. He stood in front of Peter and gazed at his naked form. Peter was shaking, but not from the cold. He had been…violated. He was only twelve. He had never experienced horrors like what Hook had shown him.
"B-but I was only having fun." He whimpered. He wouldn't cry in front of hook. No matter how broken and dirty he felt. His reply was apparently not what Hook wanted. For Hook had kicked him hard in the stomach and growled.
"Only having fun?!" He yelled, "Your fun," He spat, "Caused me a great deal of fortune!" He kicked Peter again, but harder. Peter held back a yelp. Hook grabbed him by his arm, using his hook, and smiled wickedly, "But how did my fun feel Peter?" He asked. He slowly ran his free hand down the boy's beaten body. Peter squeezed his eyes shut. He didn't want to watch. He didn't want to relive this nightmare. Hook growled, "Answer me you brat!" He said. Peter kept his eyes shut as Hook's fingers made circles on his chest.
"I-I didn't like it!" He said his voice cracking. Hook laughed, and then threw Peter to the ground. He looked at the shuddering boy.
"Well get used to it boy." He said coldly, "Because I'm about to make your life a living hell." He said. He then grabbed a rope from his coat and tied it around the boy's wrist. He tied the other end to the bed. Peter was only able to sleep on the bed and walk a safe distance from it, but he wasn't able to fly and escape. He squeezed his eyes shut. He would never escape. Hook laughed darkly as he left the broken boy alone. Peter opened his eyes briefly to look for Tink, but the fairy was gone. Hook had taken her. Peter tried to hold back his cries as he saw that now; he was truly and utterly alone.
Scooting away from the bed, he hid behind a giant root. Bringing his knees tightly to his chest, the boy buried his face in them and cried. His shoulders wracked and shuddered. He felt sad and dirty. He had no happy thoughts. No hope. The carefree boy, who never grew up, never wished so hard to leave Neverland and become an adult. "Wendy," He cried softly, "I need you…" He cried. He wanted to sleep it away, to make it all a dream, but his body refused. He refused. He wanted to stay awake, to watch for Hook to return. He wanted to wait so that he could feel safe, knowing that if he saw Hook coming, he would be able to hide from him.
So he sat. His body cold, his eyes puffy…
And his spirit broken.
Wow…that was some deep stuff….anyone else crying? I know I am. But that's just me. Oh how I hate Hook! How dare he hurt my Peter! *cries* Please leave a review, sorry for not updating for quite some time. I think should change the rating on this story. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!
