Didn't think I'll be uploading for Emmerdale again. I was spring cleaning my files on my laptop and discovered this! I thought I uploaded this in the New Year, but it doesn't appear in the story online. So that's why it's been uploaded again. Now I can delete it!

As it's been so long since the last chapter, I wouldn't blame those who would give this a miss...

JANUARY

"So, you are gonna are yah? I thought you weren't going down there til next week"

Chas was following Aaron around the pub, as he collected up some stuff he needed that was scattered about.

"Mum, I've told yah, It's not my fault you were too bladdered to take it all in last night, we've had christmas together AND the New Year, now it's time to go"

Aaron scrutinized some smelly trainers and them lobbed them from 10 paces into the kitchen bin. Chas sighed and perched her bum onto the breakfast bar stool, "Ohhh Ok Ok I admit it, I'm just gonna be missing you that's all, it was bad enough when you moved to Spain"

"I KNOW what I am doing"

Aaron then gave his mum a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and then went upstairs.

Its funny. Now I am grown up. I'm not that stupid violent teen anymore. I'll be 20 soon and I can put all this crap behind me.

Mum'll miss me, I know she will. But I'm glad that me and her have made it up, well, sort of. And I'll be missing Pads as well. That blokes been as good as any dad to me. Good bloke is Paddy.

Bristol is a long way and it'll be hard to keep us mates up here. Thank god for facebook. Stu send me a friend request just the other day and I excepted him. Stu's a funny thing. But he's been through a hell of alot. He misses Jackson. I miss Jackson. As a mate mind, but with Stu, it's hard to fall out of love and that, but I'm sure he'll move on in time. His mind might heal right, just like the physical injuries that he had been left with after psycho Nathan launched him of that belcony.

And then was Nick...he had shown him so much, had Nick. He'd been a real mate.

His blackberry had a massage and he glanced at hit, talk of the devil.

Nick was outside in his car. He jumped out and headed into the pub where Aaron came down the stairs and met him in the bar.

"So, you came then"

Aaron had a smirk on his face. Nick wasn't that happy about him moving away. Even though he never said it as much. Nick was just a soft lad. He was seriously going to miss him.

"No cruising in them parks down there, you'll scare the locals", "laughed Nick as he took a sup of his pint.

Aaron pulled an 'as if' face at him, "I'm gonna be far too busy to think about doing stuff like that, the garage I'm gonna be working for is manic, don't even think I'll be seeing Ed that much, if I'm honest"

Nick laughed at him, "then WHY is he going down there then!"

Aaron shrugged, "It's a two way thing. We've discussed it alot, HE needs to get away from shit too...I like him. HE likes me...we GET ON...maybe down there we'll might have a chance, well, MORE of a chance down there then up here, anyhow"

Nick sighed, "I'm just narked about losing me mate, that's all", he slapped him on the thigh, "all them digs and scrapes you get yourself into, you'll gonna miss me!"

Aaron was cheaky, "I'm sure I'll cope"

"Cheers for the car Cain...I'll flog it when I gets down there"

Cain chewed his gum while hew watched him chuck his stuff into the back of it, "you best not, might end up in the nick if you do"

Aaron's eyes shot and met Cain's, unsure what to say to that, then Cain broke into a smile, "I'm messing with ya, just be looking after it, if you'll gonna be keeping it"

"Ta"

Chas was then beside her brother, she looped his arm, and with the other hand she pulled the hair out of her eyes, "So, this is it then", she breathed.

"Yeah, I said bye to Pads this morning and to Adam. Now I just need to get down there", told Aaron, he jumped into the car and started the engine and it ticked over sweet as a nut.

Aaron turned and his eyes met his Mums, then he slammed down onto the gas pedal and was off.

The air was freezing. He had the window open. It was blowing away his old life. Of course, he was nervous about the future. Apart from Ed and the new folks he'll be working with, he was on his own. No family to protect him now.

He was a grown up.
