This is a question that has bothered me for quite a while but… why does every shounen-esque manga or anime require anyone with a large amount of power to have some sort of dark and tragic past?
Do these people enjoy being masochists that much? Why do they feel the need to include killing someone close to you to gain power… why not just, you know, give it for free.
But nooo, they just had to go with the pity bandwagon of fuckloads that I can't be bothered to give.
So without further ado, I present to you peons the second instalment of this wonderfully romantic/comedy/lemony/harem/parody fan fiction guide to writing GOOD and SEXY masterpieces which will surely be remembered.
Now you lower mortals might be thinking… who is this handsome motherfucker who writes these (awful) amazing stories?
I can't tell you unless I'm dead so yeah… I'm still kicking.
Now then… how to make a good story you ask?
First, think of the most overpowered ability you can give to your OC then multiply it by infinity. Then take that same power and give it to the villain but add six to it.
Now we will be going through examples of writing overpowered OC's with a fun and easy to learn method known as the NII-SAN.
N – No weak friend characters except women/men who will be part of your OC's harem. If they are strong, they will suddenly turn weak and require your assistance.
I – Idiot side characters to make your OC look good.
I – Idiot side characters that love your OC no matter what he/she does.
S – Some random tragic backstory which you will never mention again after the first chapter. Also, your OC must be SO TRAUMATIZED that he/she is suddenly able to do everything perfectly.
A – Antagonists that somehow are able to be equal or greater than your already overpowered OC.
N – Non-existent plot and continuously hating on the original main character as well as filling over fifty paragraphs on how good your OC looks by narration or the FOV of any other characters.
Once you have managed to complete NII-SAN, you are now 10% closer to writing a decent story but you have not reached the level of mastery yet…
Now, you must purify your writing in flames and clear your mind. Concentrate on your heart and you shall find the answer you are looking for.
