Chapter Eleven

I sighed in frustration whilst racking through the books- I am searching for anything that remotely mentions the word 'mynee'. The twin's voices echoed through my mind, they reacted like I was some sort of demon child. I even attempted to call The Monster to get answers out of her 'curiosity killed the cat' was the only thing she said before she disappeared. "Looking for anything in particular?" a petite librarian asked giving me a overly fake smile.
"Do you have any idea what a mynee is?" I questioned putting the book I had just flipped through back onto the shelve.
"Yes, actually there is a little bit about it in this book" she answered picking up a book that read 'Monsters and their spawns'.
"Thank you" I replied taking the book and going to sit at a small wooden desk.
Mynee's and their Monsters
A mynee is a supernatural creature that once awakened properly can control a monster like human, they can tell that creature who to hurt and/or kill. Originally the Monster chooses it's mynee by killing them with a special dagger and if they come back to life they are their master, if the master dies the Monster goes to the one whose named is said during their current masters last breath. The Monster sometimes gets confused and says the wrong things because they do not believe that Mynee's die so they say their master ordered them away: they are also extremely sensitive when Mynee's say they don't want them.
The Monsters usually have a horrible background and people have hurt them. Like how Mynee's are chosen so are the Monsters, the Monsters are chosen by when they are dying at the hands of someone who has abused/bullied them and their last thought is murder of that person their is a 36% chance they will end up as a Monster.
"I wouldn't trust everything you read in there" I looked up and saw a pale girl sat in front of me I sent her a confused look and she took the book out of my hands before grabbing my hands and pulling me out of the library. "Don't worry I will tell you what you need to know" she muttered.
"Wait, how would you know what I was reading?" I asked pulling my arm out of her grasp.
"I heard you" she replied simply.
"And why should I follow you?" I questioned squinting my eyes at her.
"You ask a lot of questions" she murmured causing me to stop. "Fine, okay, we're the same. We're both Mynee's and vampires" she hissed hatching onto my arm again and dragging me down the road and onto a dirt path.
"Prove it" I said, she groaned in frustration and jutted out her arm revealing a fancy 'J' the same as my own.
"Now come on" she hissed latching onto me and speeding through the woods, we came across a large wooden house.
"Ahh Marilyn you're back" looking inside the house I saw a man sat at a circular glass table. "And you brought a guest, hello my name is William may I ask for yours?" William asked smiling at me.
"My names Aria" I replied.
"William here is my mate, I trust you know what a mate is-correct?" Marilyn questioned.
"Yes I have one" I said as I felt acid in my mouth.
"Then why isn't he here?" William questioned "surely you miss him"
"I got kidnapped than they found out I was a 'Mynee' and I don't know how to get back" I answered.
"We'll help you to get back and teach you what a Mynee is and how to control you're power" Marilyn said.
Over the next few days Marilyn told me what I am and what I had read in the book was basically right apart from the bit about the Monster and how the Mynee is chosen: the Monster is made by all the anger and thoughts for revenge which is then turned into this 'thing' that the mind has created, at first because your subconscious is disgraced at the thing that you have made you accidently make the Monster hurt you, but after the Monster has scarred the person with a blade-known as a Mylo (pronounced melo) the person either has to die or be turned into a vampire for the transformation into a Mynee is complete and then they are in control of what the Monster does. She has also told me that because of the fact that I am a Mynee it blocks my scent from Demetri's tracker that's why they couldn't find me. Another thing I have learnt is how to summon the Monster I have to say 'veniat ad me' which is 'come to me' in Latin (A/N: according to Google translate it is, anyway). I am currently learning how to control my feelings and not sudden bursts of anger and how to control my thoughts so the Monster doesn't harm anyone.

I know its short sorry but I wanted to update bc I wont be able to update for the next to weeks...
and I hope you understand more about the Mynee and Monster thing (which btw I own bc I made it up) :)
