Andy brings his hand to his forehead and brush off the sweat. His ankle hurts and his wrist has all the chances in the world to be broken or at least sprained. But that's what it takes for a jock like him to admit that training wasn't the best choice for a Monday afternoon. He takes a quick shower and begins walking home. A car would be the nicest gift from the God above right now. He titles his head back and looks up at the sky.
"A little help here." He stays like this for a few second and then waves his hand . 'It never works", he sighs. Suddenly out of nowhere a voice pulls him out of his thoughts.
"Need a ride?" Judging by the vibrations he feels under his feet and the familiar hum he could swear the guy is talking to him from inside a car , but figuring its too good to be true, he decides to ignore it and answers lazily not bothering to turn around.
"Do I look like a guy who needs a ride?"
" Definitely." Andy rolls his eyes at the mocking tone and finally turns to face whoever is talking to him.
" Yeah, I should have recognized that voice." He says in a apparently disgusted voice. "Bender I'm sure there are so many much more interesting things for you to do , than making fun of me."
" Actually, I can't think of any . So I settle for this one. " Andy clenches his fist , but his energy and strength level is so low right now, that he knows better than to jump at his neck.
"Come with us! He stretches his arm through the open window and drops his cigarette .
Andy's face sinks in confusion at hearing the word " us". For the first time he notices 3 other bums sitting in the backseat.
" Tom, Phill and Dan." He gestures over his shoulder. " Why so nervous?" He asks, a fake confusion written on his face." Well, he starts, My friends don't wear tights as your friends do , but they can be fun, if that's what bothers you."
" Stab yourself with a spoon." Andy snaps and turns to leave.
"Hey, OK, OK, don't take that personal , it was just a joke. Now , why don't you just stop being a drama queen and accept my help when I'm offering it to you?
"Do you at least have a driving license?"
"What difference does that make?" Bender asks honestly curious this time. " I have a car, which isn't exactly mine , he points at Tom, I know how to drive it , well most of the time. He raise his eyebrows as remembering something and I have the latest Aerosmith album. Isn't that enough?"
"I'm not really a fan." Andy whispers not knowing what else he could say.
"I'm telling you for the last time, get into the car."
"No, thanks." Andy returns slightly annoyed.
" Now you're just being childish. I'm sure your ankle will be very grateful to you."
"You said its going to be for the last time."
"But you haven't entered the car ."
Andy bites the inside of his cheeks and opens the passenger door.
" I suppose you know where to drop me."
"You're wrong , but it doesn't matter. You come with us."
"What?! He nearly jumps off the seat? Where?"
"At Tom's place. We're having a party. You'll see what a party , a real party is."
