Disclaimer: I do not own League of Legends nor Fairy Tail. They belong to their respective owners. This is merely a fanfic - for fun only! ...
"This is bad...if word were to come out that Prince Jarvan or High General Swain were missing, panic would ensue. Without the League's Champions, they're influence and power is effectively halved! They won't be able to stop all out war and chaos!"
Lux commented, the League's power and influence prevented war before, but without their champions and with their leaders missing, fingers would be pointed and scandals would make a perfect excuse for declaring war.
"Not to worry, Ionia has promised to aid the League in peacekeeping in an event like this were to happen. Even Noxus would hesitate to go against the League AND Ionia." Irelia assures the siblings as she rests her blades closer to her body and sits down. Even though Ionia had declared Zaun and Noxus as enemies, they had strived to become neutral as the League took control.
Breathing a sigh of relief, the siblings calm down and go back into deep thought. "I have already welcomed these two to our Guild. Allow me to welcome you too Miss Irelia was it? As long as you need help, we won't turn you down. Feel free to stay in our guild as you look for your comrades." Makarov once again happily welcomes a new guest to the guild, expecting it to become even livelier.
"I thank you Master Makarov for welcoming and aiding us. I've heard about you and Fairy Tail from Erza, and I admire your camaraderie. It is true, I was training far away from the Institute of War. If we are correct, even more champions were displaced here."
"You are very welcome! But tell me how did you two meet in the first place?" Makarov was curious as to how the two women met. He was busy with a call when Irelia told the story, but he was still curious.
"We actually met just outside of the nearby town of Hale, master. I was on my way back when I met her on the road. We were attacked by a small contingent of a dark guild prowling the area and we both managed to repel them with ease. She had told me of her story and frankly I was rather skeptical, but now I've seen more 'Champions', I am convinced it is true." Erza tells her story to Makarov, as Irelia gets acquainted with the guild.
Erza had a feeling though, that she'd get along rather well with Irelia, the champion being kind of similar to her, only calmer and more humble. After Garen introduces Irelia to his new friends, Lux introduces Irelia to Lucy.
An orange haired member of the guild comes up to them as they finish. "Three lovely ladies in our guild? Such a joyous occasion!" The orange haired man greets the three and compliments them, earning some giggles from the ladies.
"My name is Loke, and I've heard this deal of coming from another world. Let me just say, Fiore has just suddenly gotten more beautiful, and your home world less so!"
"Hahaha! Thank you Loke, I am Irelia, this here is Lux and this here is Lucy. Lucy has actually just joined I heard." Irelia was no stranger to flirting and flattery, she would just accept the compliments and go no further.
"Hi, I'm Lucy Heartphillia, it's nice to meet you Loke! I just joined a while ago, I'm a Celestial Spirit mage and...h..hey!" Lucy was taken aback as Loke suddenly backed away from her like she was a monster as she had just said she was a Celestial Spirit mage.
"I..I'm sorry Lucy, but I kind of have a thing against those. It's not you though I apologise, I gotta go, see ya!" After acting strangely, Loke loses himself in the crowd, leaving Lucy with a puzzled expression.
"I'm sure he's just shy Lucy. Don't worry about it, you did nothing wrong." Irelia tries to make the confused Lucy feel better, which works as she returns a smile to her. "On a side note, I've seen another champion around Magnolia, but he teleported before I could call him. He's likely still around in this town. We should search around town for Twisted Fate before he decides to leave."
On the way to the guild, Irelia and Erza had spotted a man in gold, black and brown clothing with a cowboy hat. Using his trademark teleportation though, he left before Irelia could reach him.
"We should go post haste! It's gonna be even more troublesome if he goes out of town. Sir Natsu, Sir Happy, Sir Elfman, Sir Gray, Miss Lucy, Miss Erza, could you perhaps help us find him? If you do not mind that is." Figuring out that getting people who are familiar with the town to help would make it easier to search for Twisted Fate, Garen asks the Fairy Tail members for help.
"Of course Garen, we'd gladly help you. Fairy a Tail aids those who are in need!" Erza answers proudly.
"Thank you very much Erza, we are truly grateful." Irelia gives a slight bow to Erza as she thanks her.
... Somewhere in Magnolia... "What in tarnation?! I still can't find any trace of the Institute! Where am I and how did I get here anyway?"
After teleporting to the highest point of town, Twisted Fate was getting frustrated that he can't seem to return to the Institute. He had tried several times to teleport back, as he was in the middle of flirting with Riven as she was off duty. Unexpectedly he was blinded by a brilliant light and suddenly ended up in this town. Tired from repeatedly using Gate, he sits down and shuffles his cards while thinking.
"Well, at least Malcolm isn't here. It'd get pretty damn ugly if he were here. Heh, always slipped past him every time I used Destiny and Gate. Well, imma' try again, see where I end up next" Casting Destiny once more, he chooses a random location, another town close by would be good.
"...Gate!" Cards start appearing clockwise around the rooftop he was standing in. The cards disappear, and so does the Card Master.
With the sun setting and the townsfolk going home, Lux, Garen, Lucy, Erza, Irelia, Natsu, Happy, Gray and Elfman stop by a cafe, tired and disappointed.
"We failed...this isn't manly at all!" Elfman sighs and lets out his frustration as he drinks his pint of beer.
Erza takes a bite out of her cake and closes her eyes. "I'm sorry, we weren't fast enough..."
"Aww man this is weak, we just had to find one guy" Natsu says as he slumps down.
"If only he smelled like fish, I could track him a mile away!" Happy adds.
"In the end, we couldn't find him...*sigh*.." Lucy takes a good long sip of her sweet drink.
"Don't worry you guys, it's not your fault. Twisted Fate is just a hard person to find. Truth be told I wasn't expecting to find him today." Lux tries to cheer up her friends as she takes a bite out of her own cake, similar to Erza's.
"True, a guy with teleportation magic is hard to catch. Well at least he's not small or invisible right?! Hah that would be a pain in the ass!"
Gray helps Lux lighten the mood as he takes a big gulp out of his frosty drink. He puts down his mug, only to be greeted by worried faces from the three League members. "W...w..wait.. Some of you are invisible?!"
"Erm...yes Sir Gray, some champions have the ability to become invisible momentarily..." Garen answers, taking a big gulp from his beer.
"Well anyway, we appreciate your help today. It might be a long time until we find everyone and find a way to get back. We wouldn't want to just freeload in your guild in the meantime. I've heard you take some requests from the government and townspeople, since were not from your guild, we technically can't take on your request, but maybe we might be able to help you undertake them instead."
Not wanting to take advantage of Fairy Tail's kindness, Irelia offers a proposition to help them on requests so as to pull their own weight. Erza finishes her cake and puts her fork down.
"That's very thoughtful of you Irelia. I actually took a request already, an S class one, it involves fighting a dark guild. I can bring anyone with me on this, are you guys up for it tomorrow?"
"Sorry Erza, I already promised Mirajane I'd help in the kitchen tomorrow" Lux turns down her offer apologetically, already having made plans to help the guild tomorrow.
"I also promised to help sis with the heavy lifting tomorrow, so I can't go either. Men don't break their promises! Sorry Erza." Elfman had also turned her down, as he promised to help his sister Mirajane.
"S class request?! I'm in!" Natsu suddenly bolts up excited, accepting Erza's offer.
"Knowing you, you'd probably screw it up. I'm in too, just to make sure this guy doesn't burn everything up." Gray coolly answers as he takes a jab at Natsu.
"Count me in! I won't let you down!" Lucy answers enthusiastically. "I'd be honoured to join you in your quest Miss Erza!" Garen gives his answer, puffing out his chest.
"I as well. I shall come with you tomorrow." Irelia takes her new friend's offer, finalising tomorrow's team.
"Then it's settled. Don't worry about it Lux, Elfman, If Mirajane needs help tomorrow, then i wouldn't want to take her help from her. The rest of you, let's meet at the station, 8 AM sharp!"
The group finalises their plans for tomorrow and part ways. Natsu had invited Garen to stay at his place and Erza invited Lucy, Lux and Irelia to the female Fairy Tail's dorms.
The next day, the group had met up at Magnolia station. After exchanging greetings, the group board the train. They take seats facing each other, 3 women on one side and the three men on the other, with Happy sitting on Natsu's head. Erza clears her throat and decides to explain the request they were took.
"Alright, I should tell you the specifics. Firstly, official guilds like ours take request deemed legal by the magic council, we abide by their rules and we enjoy their support. Some guilds however, take illegal requests such as theft or assassinations, these were outlawed by the council a long time ago. Dark guilds like Eisenwald, the guild were supposed to fight in this request, still take illegal requests, particularly assassinations. They plan on using a spell called 'lullaby' on the populace. This spell is said to kill anyone who hear it by forcing them into a slumber they can never awaken from. Were two stations away from the town they plan to put a hit on. Any questions so far?"
"Ummm...I have one Miss Erza...is Sir Natsu going to be alright ?..." Garen was rather concerned for Natsu, he was usually full of energy but ever since the train moved, his face became sickly green.
"Oh that, don't worry about it Garen, ever since he was a kid, he could never ride any kind of transportation without getting sick. You'll get used to it soon enough, mind the projectile vomit though..." Gray answers Garen's answer as the the knight ponders about this strange illness.
"By the way Gray, Erza, Garen, Irelia, what kind of magic do you have? I've never seen any of you cast any before. Can you show me, if you don't mind?" Lucy was curious about her new comrades' magic as she has only ever seen Natsu use his.
"I'm an ice mage Lucy, my magic is called 'Ice Make'. I can summon and create weapons and inanimate made of ice in a snap." Gray answers proudly, as he creates a rather detailed figurine out of ice as he explains.
"Oh I don't have any magic Miss Lucy, I merely rely on my prowess as a proud knight. The only magic I possibly wield is that of my wounds knitting faster than normal people." Garen answers Lucy as he explains his abilities.
"I use 'Requip' magic, called The Knight. I can transform my armour into different types, each one with different effects and uses. They also come with different weapons." Erza answers as she gives a slight smile, rather proud if the hard work she gave to refine her magic.
"For me, I don't k know if I can call it magic or not, but I can command these blades of mine like they were an extension of my body. That and the more powerful enemies I face, the less the effectiveness of my foes attempts to suppress my assault." Irelia answers as she demonstrates by twirling one of her blades around like a compass. When not in combat, she keeps her blades on her body, like armour, a tiny bit similar to Erza.
"Wow...everyone's so unique. I'm a Celestial mage myself, I can summon celestial spirits with my spirit keys here." It was Lucy's turn to share, as she shows the group her keys.
The group continue to swap stories of where they came from and other trivial things, while Natsu headed towards the bathroom, with Happy soundly asleep on his head. The train stops at a remote station. They had to get off the current train and wait for another train to take them to their main destination. Still swapping interesting stories, they sit on the benches as they wait for their next train. Only a handful of passengers ride the train from that station as it leaves.
"Wait a minute...something's not right. Aren't we forgetting something?" Erza suddenly notices something amiss.
"Ah! you're right Erza, Gray lost his clothes!" Irelia exclaims as she points toward Gray, who was half naked.
"Wahhh?!" Gray covers himself as he heads to the toilets to dress up, earning raised eyebrows from his companions.
"Actually, aren't we missing someone? Where's Natsu?" Erza suddenly remembered that she never saw Natsu exit the train with them.
"Sir Natsu is still on that train!" Garen remembers that the last time he saw Natsu, he was headed for the train's toilet.
"Guwahhhhh...! Just as I was about to feel better, the train moves again!" Still inside the bathroom, Natsu was again suffering from motion sickness as the train starts moving once more.
"Natsu, I think I hear someone suspicious outside!" Happy, still on top of Natsu, hears something from the other side of the door. He places his ear closer so he can hear better, as Natsu was still trying to make himself feel better.
"...heh! Were almost there. I thought some mages from Fairy Tail were gonna stop us, but it looks like they're just all talk!" Some men were talking on the other side of the door, something about Fairy Tail stopping them. Right now there was only one group trying to avoid Fairy Tail, and that was Eisenwald!
"Natsu! They're from Eisenwald!" Happy whispers to Natsu. Slamming the door open, Natsu covers his fists with fire.
"Eisenwald! We've found you! Happy, go get Erza and the others, I'll take care of them!"
"Aye Natsu! Hang on, I'll be back with help!" Happy flies away to their companions to get help.
"Fairy Tail! Damn it, I though we were scot free! Guys, Fairy Tail is here, let's kick their asses!" One of the men call out for reinforcements as five or six more Eisenwald members come into the carriage.
"Bring it on Eisenwald!" Natsu charges at the group, clenching his fiery fists.
"Fire Dragon's...Fiiiiist!"
... "Erza! Everyone! Eisenwald's here! Natsu's fighting them right now!"
Happy bursts into the cabin calling for help, but does not find any of his companions. He only sees one man in the entire coach, sitting quietly. He takes notice of Happy and raises an eyebrow.
"Guwahh..."
Natsu falls on the floor dizzy, as his motion sickness takes it's toll. He had managed to defeat eight Eisenwald members, but still more reinforcements came.
"You must be Fairy Tail's Salamander! What's the matter? Getting sick? Too bad we don't fight fair!" The Eisenwald members ready their spells and weapons to finish off a weakened Natsu. As they get closer however, a flash of blinding light hits them and sends the group reeling back. They regain their balance and see a strange man shuffling cards. Happy hurries back to Natsu flustered.
"Natsu! Erza and the others got off at the last station! We got left behind!"
"Guhh...they're not here?! Guess I'll have to...guwahhh!" Natsu tries to stand up, but falls over once again still feeling sick.
"Don't worry kid, just take a nap there and I'll handle these jokers."
The strange man stops shuffling his cards and looks at the Eisenwald members. "I got no qualms about stackin' the odds in your favour, but a buncha you pickin on one kid is just low, even for me, and I'm a con artist!"
"Who the hell are you?! Listen pal, if you don't leave us alone now, we'll bash your face in like were about to do with this guy!" One of the Eisenwald members threaten the strange man, as he adjusts his hat and hides his cards in his sleeves.
"The name's Twisted Fate, or just TF for short. Why don't we play a game fellas?"
The man known as Twisted Fate produces a red card out of nowhere and smiles. "Blood red!" He says out loud, as he throws his card at the group. It hits the person at the front but produces a shockwave that throws the other members back, making them land on either the chairs or the floor.
"If you're gonna help that brat, then we'll beat you both to a pulp!" One of the Eisenwald members then throw a spear at Twisted Fate. With seemingly no space to dodge it, he was sure he had defeated him!
Twisted Fate merely smiles though, as he shuffles his cards once more. He stores them back in his sleeves but picks three cards and holds them. He hurls these magically enchanted cards at his opponent, and like some diabolically sharp razors, one of the cards slice the spear in half lengthwise. The other two cards get caught on his clothes and pin him to the wall unconscious. Walking towards the semi-conscious Natsu, he kneels and pokes the boy.
"Well... That's that. You alright boy?"
"He's just not good at riding any kind of vehicle mister. I thought we were about to be sleeping with the fish, mister card guy!" Happy thanks their saviour, whom he found at their friends' seats. The man explained that their friends might have gotten off at the last station, much to the cat's surprise.
"No problem li'l kitty, just kick back with me till the next station. Name's Twisted Fate by the way, you can just call me TF for short." The man known as Twisted Fate tips his hat and heads back to his carriage and his seat.
"Twisted Fate? Have I heard that from somewhere before? Oh well, at least we have a strong guy to help us while Natsu's like this!" Happy drags the semi conscious Natsu where TF was sitting.
Author's note:
again the damn copy-paste problems. At least I enjoyed making this chapter more than the last one.
