Update time~!
I'm not too proud of the previous chapter...It was rather...Bleh. A bit confusing too, right? XD
I'm juggling so many fics at the moment, some which I have mostly finished, but cannot find the documents, do to my habit of naming each document things like "AJDSFSJFSF" and "JHFASKJFDFNJK". I will be cleaning my folders up though, so hopefully I'll be able to discover some fossils. :D
So more and more people are dying...So much violence. XD I'll most likely submit the sequel to this...Maybe...I'd rather get some fics finished though, because I'm sure most of you are sick to death of me submitting random fics out of the bloom, and taking months to update each one...
Sorry about that.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter (Hopefully, it will not be as complicated as the last...), please review!^^
Deidara's POV
Sasori had opened up quite a bit on our way to the clinic. He was a lot less timid than he appeared to be.
"That Kakashi guy's terrifying, isn't he?"
"Yeah, he is..." I smirked, looking around. "A real nut-job..."
"He reminds me of a shark..." The red-head replied, smiling.
I chuckled. "No, that's Kisame Hoshigaki! You know, the tall shark-guy, un!"
Sasori nodded, giggling. "He's scary..."
"Ah, he's a nice guy once you get to know him..."
The red-head raised an eyebrow, turning his head. "You know him...?"
I nodded. "He helped out me and Hidan...I think we'd be dead if it wasn't for him..."
Sasori didn't reply, and we continued walking in silence.
"...Have any family at home...?" The boy eventually piped up, looking at me.
I nodded slowly. "I live with my brother, and mum, un...My dad committed suicide a few years ago..."
"...Why'd he do that?"
I was surprised by the red-head's answer. Usually, when I'd tell someone about my father, they'd utter a short "I'm sorry...", or just go bright red, and smile kindly.
"I-I guess he just wasn't happy..."
"But he had a family. A life. Why wouldn't he be happy?" Sasori quickly replied, not at all phased by what he was actually saying.
"...I don't know...I guess work wasn't going well for him, un..."
Thankfully, the red-head didn't reply, and instead nodded slowly.
"...I get on most with my brother..." I began, continuing. "My mum's always working..."
"Shame..." The red-head muttered, looking down.
I nodded, smiling. "It's nice when she's at home though...She likes to dance all around the kitchen! Me and my brother get really embarrassed, but most of the time we join in ourselves!" I grinned.
"Fun..."
"Oh, it is, un! Then there's our cat, who's really, really lazy, but she's still a member of the family. Every weekend my aunt comes round, because she loves to dress up my cat! My whole family are pretty weird...I love them though."
Sasori smiled strangely, nodding his head.
I then realized how much I had been rambling on.
"What's your family like?" I smiled.
The red-head paused for a moment, looking down with an unreadable expression. A few seconds later, he looked back up again, smiling.
"I-I...Live with my parents. I don't think my mother dances like yours, but she likes to...Sew." Sasori smiled, nodding his head. "My father works a lot, he's a doctor, and gets back at 10:00pm, so I see him for a fair amount of time. We have a...Dog, named Rufus."
I chuckled, waiting for the red-head to go on.
"My parents can't wait for me to get back! They're probably planning a big, big party for me at home! Then we'll all snuggle, and it will be really, really nice!" Sasori grinned.
I laughed nervously.
"You think...You'll get...Back, un?"
The red-head nodded. "I know I will! I'll find a way, I'd never leave my parents."
Sasori's positive behavior somehow made me feel better about this whole thing. As if we actually had some source of hope.
I chuckled. "I'll second you on that one."
I let out a cry of relief as we reached the clinic.
"Finally, un!"
Sasori chuckled, nodding his head. "We'll wait for your friend here..."
As me and Sasori walked into the rundown clinic, I noticed how small it was. The island had only been evacuated a few days ago, and already it looked completely deserted; As if it had been free of people for years.
The island was actually a rather nice place (When people weren't concentrated on killing each other off). It had a little place for everything; A farm, a clinic, even a library.
"Is anyone in here, un?" I called quietly, looking around the small, dingy room. Thankfully, no-one was in.
I let out a sigh, sitting myself down on the bed. "It's nice to relax, un..."
Sasori chuckled, looking around the room. "You were resting just a few hours ago..."
"Still..." I smirked, looking at the boy.
He was going through all the cupboards, checking out all the medical equipment, packing some into his bag, mumbling to himself now and again.
"What're you looking for, un...?" I asked, titling my head.
"Nothing in particular, just things we may need in the near future." The red-head replied, continuing to search through the cupboards.
He smiled as he looked into a sack. "Rice!" He exclaimed quietly, showing me a glimpse of the food.
I sat up, grinning. "That's great!"
Sasori nodded, looking through the lower cupboard. "Now if I can find something to put with this, It'll last much longer...Maybe some saffron maybe; That will make the food more savory, so we will eat less of it, but still feel full."
I whistled. "You sure know a fair amount about food..."
Sasori smiled, continuing his search. "My dad's a chef."
I raised an eyebrow at the boy's statement; I was sure he had said his dad was a doctor. I must have heard him wrong or something.
"Thank you, Danna!" I grinned, tucking in to my rice.
The red-head raised an eyebrow, sitting opposite me. "Danna...?"
I nodded, my mouth stuffed with rice. "Oo my anna!"
"...Please swallow your food, and try again."
I chuckled, swallowing my mouthful. "You my Danna."
"Your master...?"
"Yep! If it wasn't for you, I'd be all alone now, un."
Sasori looked down for a moment, before turning towards me, smiling warmly. "Then you're my brat."
"...I'd prefer a much more nicer nickname." I frowned.
"...She-male."
"...Brat's great, un!" I smiled.
Things were fun between me and the red-head for the next few minutes. That was before we heard footsteps outside the door.
Shoooort chapteeeer.
I'm sorry.
The next chapter will be a lot more interesting, I just wanted to include a chapter with Sassy and Dei bonding^^
I hope you enjoyed, please review!
