The day must been hard for the three orphans.

Porlyusica put the blunette's body on her bed, and she also told the black haired girl to sleep on the other bed beside the insane blunette. God, she really wanted to help these three girls, but what could she do? She herself didn't have enough money for the medical charge.

When, the pink haired woman stepped back into the infirmary room, she saw the blunette was crying beside the smaller pinkette. She thought of comforting her, but she could not find the right words. Could you?

"She's too pure…" Juvia mumbled, her voice muffled by the sheets of Meredy's blankets, so she was aware of the older woman's presence since the beginning, "Meredy is too kind to everyone… Why her…"

Even the cold weather of the night didn't seem to effects her at all. The Lockser girl just sat beside the pinkette's bed while pouring her tears out. Her precious tears continued to be wasted as she kept mumbling about Meredy's childish, adorable personality.

The pink haired doctor kept watching her with stoic expression, she made a decision, "I know a way to save your sister."

All of a sudden, Juvia turned her shaky head to the doctor who was watching her with a challenging face, "W-W-What is it?!" This time… May she hope for a life? Was she allowed to even hope at all?

"I don't think it will be easy," Porlyusica warned the poor blue haired orphan.

"I don't care what will I should go through! Please tell me what is it?" The girl pleaded, no longer crying because the sign of hope was probably here.

"I trust you can do it, if you really want to help your sister, give this to the king."

''

After the meeting with the almighty kind, she was ordered to take off at three in the morning. With the company from the royal, a skilled fighter who would protects her.

As if it wasn't bad for her already, her dress was all messed up. She came back home, changed her poor dress into a knee-length jeans and an elbow-length black plain shirt. At least, she was not showing off her body like the mindless bitches around.

Juvia tore off her diary's book and wrote a message for Ultear.

It was 02:30 AM already, so she could no longer postpone anything, the way to the castle was 20 minutes with walking. She'd be the good Miss On-Time at the time, to get the King's attention, as well as to not backing down if she was left alone.

This was all for Meredy.

''

"I am here, Your Majesty," the girl bowed dutifully. Holding her bow in the right arm. Her arrows was placed neatly on its place on her back, she looked like a wild yet elegant symbol.

"Good. Stand up," he spoke with such blank expression. "You will depart in 3 in the morning. Your partner will inform you anything you need to know." And with that, he left.

Dude, that was a nice conversation.

''

"Gray?" Juvia tried it on her own tongue, it didn't feel right. "What kind of name is that?"

"Like you're one to talk," he retorted. The partne the king mentioned was one of the royal's highest soldier, Gray Fullbuster. Along with Fairy Tail Division, that is. "Your name isn't that great either."

The two of them was currently adventuring the way to the said mountain across the kingdom. After one hour of silent walking, Juvia finally decided to know his name. Sure, but she didn't expect to get Gray from Fairy Tail Division to be her company in this dangerous mission. Bad idea. They didn't get along that well for stranger.

"Is that a katana? Or samurai? Or even knife?" She inquired after staring at the thing that tied around his waist. He wasn't wearing any of those scary armors, he was wearing a casual red jacket and jeans. And that necklace really caught her attention, but she just shrug it off.

"I can't believe, I have to guard you until this mission ends." He muttered, loud enough for her to hear and successfully angered her.

She stopped walking, "What was that?"

He stopped too, "What I said."

This guy is unbelievable! She thought that he was a gentleman given that he was from the royal itself. But dude, was she totally wrong. He was annoying as hell.

Juvia crossed her arms, "You think I want to? Blegh." She made the sound of disgust.

"The hell's that supposed to mean?" he spat.

"Right what I said."

Gray put a blade on her neck calmly, "Don't think just because I'm on my duty to guard you, you can do anything as you please." He put more force into it so it scratched her pale neck, fresh blood came out from the tiny cut.

"Don't think just because I'm a female you can underestimate me," she took out her arrow and pushed it into his left forehead. "You know nothing of me." Juvia also made a cut on him. Right above his left eyebrow.

Nice first impressions are made.

''

Gray and Juvia settled down. Then continued their journey for a day straight with some rests under trees, if not for their silent rivalry, it'd looked like they were dating. They found a village and agreed to call it a night.

"Excuse me?" Juvia voiced when they entered some building that somewhat looked like a motel. Gray eyed everything carefully in case something wrong happened. He hated the girl, but he won't fail on his duty.

"Night, sweeties," an old woman greeted kindly. "What can I do for you two?"

"Night, Madam. Can you please offer us a room for tonight?" Gray said hurriedly.

The grandma was about to say 'yes' when Juvia interrupted, "Two rooms." Glaring at the raven haired man.

"One room is enough," Gray pointed with calamity. Gosh, what's wrong with this guy?! Isn't it inappropriate to be in the same room to someone you consider a stranger?

"Two rooms please, Ma'am," Juvia smiled at the confused old woman.

"No, Madam. Give us one room," Gray corrected, now glaring at the window. "Now."

The granny nodded and went in to take a key, Juvia shot draggers at him which he just ignored. "What is wrong with you?"

Seriously.

"I'm just doing my duty."

"That's not what I'm talking about, Sir." Juvia took out her knife and put it on his abdomen, threatening to stab him nonetheless. "I demand you to explain."

Gray just looked at the knife as if it was a mere feather, completely unimpressed, "Do it."

The blunette and the raven haired man had a staring contest, because Juvia could easily put him into rest and Gray, also could break her neck at any second without even blinking.

Then they heard a shocked gasp, the two of them saw the grandma had been back, with mouth touching the floor. "H-Here."

"I apologize, Madam." Gray took the key and went on upstairs, leaving Juvia and the old woman alone. The girl sighed, then turned to the old woman, smiling.

"May I take another room?" Juvia said nicely, putting back her knife. However, again, before the granny had the chance to reply, Gray came back and dragged Juvia with him forcefully. If looks could kill, he'd be dead a thousand times already.

When they got inside the room number 05, Juvia yanked his hand as harsh as she could mutter. "Stop!" She then tried to go back to where the old woman was while swearing a colorful paragraph of curses. Just when she touched the doorknob, a knife was thrown right beside her head.

This means war.

Juvia, once again, took out her bow and placed the arrow in the middle of it, and turned around to target Gray's eye. But Gray already held her mouth which caused her eyes to widen in alarm, almost elbowing him in the gut when the man whispered, "Someone is following us." The girl stopped struggling in an instant. So that's why she felt like being watched.

And yes, she wouldn't take the risk to stay in two different room, they could protect each other easily (don't get her wrong, its just because that this arrogant male is from the king itself) if they're in one room. Why not he told her sooner? The raven haired man then let her mouth go then proceeded to lay on the wooden floor.

The girl gave a full minute watching him. "What are you doing?" Juvia asked, confused.

"Right what you see," he answered casually, drifting off to the dreamland.

To hell with him, she took a pillow and threw it to him. He could die for all she cared.

''

They left the small motel in the morning after paying the unexpectedly cheap cost to the old woman, she seemed so gentle and fragile which made Juvia almost had no heart to leave her just like that.

But she had to. For the sake of Meredy.

"What's the name of the fish are we looking for again?"

"Aquarius."

Right. That super rare fish, if not the rarest fish in the world. What they knew about them that it is blue, stay in a stream or lake, and live for one millennium. It also breeds only five eggs in a thousand years. That fish only lived in Ohessa of all place. That were the only hints they had.

"How many days will it take to reach Ohessa?" The blue haired girl inquired, because, honestly, she had no clue about it.

"Three months by walking." Yeah, that sentence just crushed her world.

Damn. That means she had to stay with him for ninety days. She hoped God would give her the strength to. Juvia let out a deep sigh as she kept walking beside him, not watching, or caring, about her surroundings. She almost stepped on a snake when Gray stopped her walking.

It was a King Cobra.

"Sorry," the blunette smiled sheepishly which Gray just rolled his blue ebony.
