The day after the party, Percy and Buggy met up at by the steering wheel of the Big Top.
"So, where do you want to go." Percy started. He didn't dislike Buggy, but he didn't like the man as much as Blue did. But for some reason, the crew had come too.
"So, my crew! Where do we want to go?" Buggy shouted at his crew.
"Sunny!"
"Snowy!"
"Cold and rainy!" the one who had said that got a slap from his mates.
"Warm and rainy!" the one who had said that got a slap from the other man, and a spontaneous fight broke out.
"Spring paradise!"
"Some island with hot springs!"
"An island with giant bunnies!"
And the shouting went on. Buggy marvelled at the attention, and Percy had the idea Buggy was addicted. But that didn't matter for now.
"It seems… that the choice is mine!" Buggy laughed theatrically. "But don't worry, my dear crew! I will make it fun!"
The whole crew burst in tears of joy at the statement. "CAPTAAAAIN!"
Buggy turned to Percy.
"I choose… the one with the BUNNIES!"
"YEAAAAAH!"
Styx, Percy cursed in his thoughts. Now he had to get Blue too. How else was he supposed to know where the gigantic bunnies lived. And Blue could be so hyper sometimes. Then again, Percy was also prone to being hyper. Damn ADHD.
"Be right back." Percy said to Buggy, and wandered to his own ship. There, he shook Blue awake.
"Blue! We've decided to go to an island with gigantic bunnies!"
"What? Drum Island? Cool!" Blue was bounding on his bed. Percy used his senses to locate Drum Island, and found it not too close, but not too far either.
"Is there anything to know about Drum?" Percy asked Blue.
"Well, they have those reaaaally cool mountains, and there is a lot of snow, so it's lotsa fun!"
Percy didn't know what to think, Blue 'lotsa fun' could be really dangerous, but could also really be lotsa fun. Thinking for a few minutes, Percy decided that he could as well just do it, and he returned to Buggy and his crew.
The predator was tensing, staring at the prey with great intensity. One man had defied them. One man hadn't immediately fled when they saw them coming at them with complete awesomeness. One man had stood his ground when they had jumped, and one man had fended them of when they tried to get to their prey.
Even though his cold and visible breath was irregular, he stayed where he was.
"Now, listen here" the man shouted at them. Their heads rose up at the sound of the voice.
"I have promised my men bunnies. And bunnies they. Shall. GET!" Buggy shouted bravely at the bunnies. Even though Buggy knew it was better to just run away now, and he didn't feel brave right now at all, he had to maintain his image amongst the crew.
"RAWR!" The gigantic carnivorous rabbits jumped as one, blocking the sun from Buggy's view and proceeded with a nose dive, to subjugate Buggy so that they, the bunnies could eat him. Or something else. But Buggy saw his chance. He immediately switched his demeanor from "maintaining image" to "Overconfident".
"Hahaaaa! You will never defeat me with just that, I am Buggy!" He plopped his body in slices and grabbed a bunny from the air.
"Men! Bunnies!"
It was a moment nobody from the Big Top would ever forget.
First, there was Buggy. He was standing on the ground, something in between a smirk of triumph and a grimace of horror on his face.
Then, there were the Lapins, the carnivorous snow BunnyBears native to Drum island, in mid jump, claws out, preparing themselves to slaughter Buggy and taking him away to have dinner with him. He would be the main course.
But above them was a group of overeager Buggy pirates, in mid jump, arms stretched with grins like maniacs on their face, preparing to take the Bunnies and hug them to death, play with them, train them and eat them if they were hungry (who would say no to authentic Bunny meat?).
And then there was of course the Hiking Bear group, a group of Hiking Bears who were hiking with eachother for fun, but were now enraged with the pirates and Lapins for not bowing to them and preparing to beat them up with their walking stick and force them into the Traditional Japanese position for an hour. Some of them were in mid jump.
All in all, a quite rare sight.
How was it possible for them to be in mid jump? That was of course because of Percy's time powers. On the side, Percy & co. had just come back from a talk with Dalton, and upon seeing this strange coincidence, Blue had started rolling in the snow laughing, and Shizu had gotten a sparkle of absolute humour in her eyes. Percy, deciding it dumb to pass up such an opportunity, immediately stopped time.
Now he was looking everywhere for something to record it.
"Shizu! Do you have anything for this?"
"No, but I can ask around in the town." Shizu smiled eagerly
"Ahahaha… I… this… Hahaha…" Blue was desperately trying to tell them something, but it didn't become clear to the other two until Blue summoned a weird looking shell.
"H-Hold it *chuckle* in that di-direction." Blue managed to say, until he couldn't hold his laughing anymore.
Shizu took it from him and pointed it to the scene. It made a 'snap'-like sound. Percy then moved over to the Lapins and changed their position a little. Strangely enough he didn't do anything for the pirates or the bears.
"Ready?" Percy asked Shizu and Blue, who had gotten over his laughing fit.
They both nodded.
Percy started time
"Aaaaaaah!" Buggy screamed, even forgetting his image.
"GROWL!" The bunnies growled as one.
"BUNNIES!" Buggy's crew shouted.
The Hiking Bears said nothing.
After Buggy, his crew, and the Lapins got thoroughly beaten up by the Hiking Bears and forced to sit the Japanese way, Percy, Shizu and Blue approached them, after bowing to the bears of course.
The bears, when they saw the three, quickly bowed back and got out of there as quickly as possible. Blue waved them goodbye.
When they came closer, Percy helped Buggy and his crew stand, and Blue went to the Lapins, who flinched and scrambled away. But not fast enough.
Buggy had clearly had enough of this island.
"Men!"
"Yeah!" they shouted.
"It's time for us to go! TO NEW SHORES! ADVENTURE! TREASURE! GOLD!"
"YEAH!" The crew shouted. Percy wondered how Buggy got the job done every time.
"RAW!" one Lapin shouted, fist in the air.
Buggy looked a bit shocked, but quickly recomposed himself.
"LUCKILY… We have A NEW CREW MEMBER! Say HELLO to BUNNY!"
"YEAAAAAAAAH!" A few crew members gave him a clown hat and a nose, which looked pretty funny on the normally grim face of the predator.
"Will you be coming too?" Buggy asked Percy.
"No, we still have some things to do, but I'm sure we'll meet again." Percy didn't mention what. If he would, the pirate would most likely want to stay and 'help' him.
Buggy showed a bit of sorrow on his face. Scrap that, a lot. Buggy was an actor, after all, Percy supposed. His face was contorted into the epitome of sorrow
"MEN!" Buggy sobbed-cried "We will have to SAY GOODBYE to THE BLUE PIRATES!"
No matter how good Buggy as an actor actually was, his crew was ridiculously easy to move. All of the crew started to cry, and came to Percy, Shizu and Blue (mainly Blue) to say their goodbye.
Percy and Shizu could only gasp in horror at the mob coming to crush them in a gigantic hug. Blue was too busy crying himself and hugging Buggy while doing so.
A small boat came in the docks of a small town in the Sakura Kingdom, Drum Island. On board was Captain Rally, marine rank Captain 'supreme', and currently pissed off. He had enough. Why on earth the Buggy Pirates would want to go to this cold island was beyond him. He got off his boat and explored the town. The town was in a happy mood, he experienced. Good. That would make it easier for him to find what he want.
"Bring me to your leader!" He told/ordered the first person that came near him.
The woman in question grimaced a bit, as if dealing with a rotten apple, but of course Rally didn't notice that.
"Follow me."
Rally followed the woman, taking in a good look of the island. He could see why they called it Drum. The mountains resembled drums indeed. He could only just make something out on top of one of the 'drums', but it was snowing too hard to see well.
They entered a house. Inside the house was a man, busy with planning something. With a closer look Rally saw it was a blueprint.
"Ah," The man looked around when he was tapped on the shoulders. "I'm Dalton. Nice to meet you."
Rally noticed the calming feel the man radiated. The woman who had been grimacing while leading him here, was now sporting a smile. Rally supposed he was the ruler. He hadn't heard much of the power struggle that happened some time ago, but enough to know the general outlines. He could understand why the people followed this man.
"I'm Rally, captain of the Marines. I request your help in catching some rogue pirates. They go by the name of the Blue Pirates, and are thought to be hiding on this island. Especially Shizu the Witch can be highly dangerous. She has a bounty of 300,000,- Beli. She's also highly notorious in the island where I was originally stationed: Carefree island."
Dalton frowned. He had met the pirates in question, they seemed decent enough. After what happened with the Straw-Hat pirates he learned to not judge pirates on the fact that they were pirates. When they arrived on the island they had even promised not to do any harm to the island. They were even willing to keep the Buggy Pirates in check while they were here, because Dalton had heard the rumours and stories about them. Afterwards a villager had reported the departing of the Buggy Pirates, indeed without any harm done at all. Afterwards, the three had gone exploring.
"I sadly do not know the whereabouts of your pirates, Captain Rally. I'm sorry, but I can't help you. Feel free however to stay on the island." Dalton had of course no wish to make an enemy in the marines, besides, he really thought it a shame he didn't know their whereabouts. It would be a shame if they left without him seeing them off.
Rally wasn't happy. Those idiots didn't even keep track of potentially dangerous pirates damnit! What was wrong with them?!
"Fine then. Then I will find them myself!" With a scowl on his face, he stomped out of the house. He couldn't believe it!
Back in the house, Dalton and the woman shook their heads with a frown. The rudeness of some people…
"So, where is it we're going again?"
"A Devil Fruit, Shizu, Blue sensed one. We're going to get it so that you can eat it."
They were walking through the snow after Blue. They of course had no idea where Blue was going, but as Blue made his domain, he didn't think Blue would get lost.
"Yup!" Blue was cheerful. "Two of them, even! But now we're going to the closest one!"
"And where is it?"
"Up there." Blue pointed to one of the Drum mountains. On it stood a castle with a Jolly Roger flag. One skull with some sort of leaves, cherry blosoms.
Percy rolled his eyes. It always had to be difficult. "And the other one?"
"On the other side of the island."
"Couldn't we just go there then? Wouldn't that be easier then climbing a mountain?" Shizu complained.
"Well, for one, there's a lift, and for two, we are going to get them both anyway, so up the mountain we go!" Blue started walking on. Percy and Shizu followed. Blue had a point.
"Sooooooooo, what're we going to do now?" Rin asked. "We have no idea where Percy and Blue can be, so how're we going to find them?"
"Nico, can you shadow travel to the islands?" Annabeth asked.
"No, as I don't have the slightest idea where I would be going." Nico frowned. "But if we had some maps or information, I could try it."
"That could work. I also heard from Shakkie here that a lot of people that want to go to the New World stop by this island first. Because the exit is at the end of the New World, if Percy is at this side of the Red Line, the chance is big that he ends up here as well." Annabeth thought out loud.
"So what you're saying is, we'll go to those islands, while every time we go, one of us will stay behind in case Percy and Blue come here." Nico said.
"That could work!" Rin exclaimed.
"You know, I could use some help here," Shakkie intruded. "The food is not for free…"
The three laughed awkwardly at her.
"Sounds like a plan then." Annabeth concluded swiftly. "Shakkie, do you have some maps?"
The end! Next up: Rally vs. Blue Pirates 1! Also, Shizu gets a DF power! If you have ideas, review!
