Chapter 2

Kurt arrived back in Lima on Saturday and had been monitoring Facebook since Friday night. Blaine had added nothing to his status, or changed anything. Which was good. Maybe nothing had happened that was worth reporting. Kurt was a flurry of nerves. He wondered if he should stop home first or find Blaine. He decided he needed to go home first, drop off his bag then head over to Blaine's house. Blaine was always home at the weekend. It was his study time and movie time as he so fondly told Kurt.

2 hours later after a brief discussion with his father found him standing outside Blaine's house. It was 11 O'Clock so he knew Blaine would be up. He took a deep breath and tentatively knocked at the door. He stood waiting for the door to open. No one appeared. He knocked again a little louder. He heard shuffling feet come to the door and it was opened by a Mrs. Anderson

"Kurt? I'm sorry was Blaine expecting you?" She asked confused

"No. I um thought I would surprise him!" Kurt answered

"Oh how lovely. I don't know when he'll be back. He went out with a friend last night, and sent a message that he wasn't coming home. Was about 11.30pm when we were just about to sleep mind you, but Blaine has always been spontaneous. It's just after the shooting incident at school, we worry about him a lot more you know" Mrs Anderson seemed to understand Kurt's confusion. Previously when he and Blaine had been dating. Blaine had no curfew. As long as he was safe, he would do what he liked. Every teenagers dream really.

"Oh thank you, Can you tell him I called when he gets back?" Kurt asked with a smile

"Of course." She answered before quietly shutting the door.

Kurt was bothered. Why would Blaine be staying with Sebastian? Had something happened? I mean nothing had happened on Facebook. Kurt got in his car and drove home. His Dad was working, Carol had a shift and Finn was away. He suddenly had a thought. Tina and Sam might want to do something. He was quite surprised Sam wasn't home. He called Tina up

"Kurt hi" Tina greeted

"Hi Tina. Is Sam with you?" Kurt asked

"Uh no. Why?" Tina asked

"Well Miss Chang, do you fancy meeting for coffee? I am back in town and thought it would be great to catch up with anyone still here" Kurt said

"Sure. Say an hour. Lima Bean?" Tina asked

"Yeah. That sounds great. See you in an hour" Tina hung up

Kurt grabbed his stuff and made is way to the Lima, checking his hair as he left. He knew he would be early, but he didn't have anything else to do. When he arrived he gabbbed coffee and found a table at the back of the the coffee house. He waited about half an hour before Tina appeared, drink in hand and sat opposite him

"Hey Kurt"

"Hey Tina. Thanks for coming out here so quick."
"It's cool. I have plans later though, Blaine's meeting me here at 4 but until then, I am yours" She said with a smile

"Blaine's coming here?" Kurt asked dumb founded

"Yeah. We are having a junk movie feast this evening. We just grab some films, Artie and Sam sometimes come, and Kitty. We all just sit and watch movies, catch up and stuff" Tina said with a smile

"That sounds cool." Kurt said with a sigh

"So what are you plans in town?" Tina asked

"I am here for some of Spring break. I haven't anything in concrete."
"When did you decide this?"

"A few days ago" Kurt said with a shrug

"Oh Kurt. You saw Blaine's comments huh?" Tina said linking it together

"What no...yes OK I did" Kurt confessed "I was curious. I mean are him and Sebastian dating or something?"

"I don't know. He keeps his personal life tightly under wraps these days. His arguments is that when it goes wrong everyone knows, and makes a big deal out of it. Until anything is certain he doesn't tell anyone." Tina said

"His really closed off?" Kurt asked

"No. More like his got a wall around him. After you he just changed, even around us guys. I mean Sam is probley the one that knows him the best."
"What about Sebastian?" Kurt asked

"Ask Blaine when you see him. Maybe he'll tell you. I haven't seen the two together. He keeps his Warbler friends and New Directions apart for some reason." Tina said with a shrug

"Maybe I will."
Tina and Kurt continued talking, losing track of time. It wasn't until he heard the bell tinkle and a laugh he recognised that he knew what the time was.

"Shit! I shouldn't still be here" Kurt said

"Too late now. You can't escape without him seeing you. Might as well stay" Tina said with a smug smile. As Kurt looked up, he saw Sebastian come through the door and sidled up to Blaine before putting his arms around Blaine's waist, making Blaine jump and giggle. Kurt felt like he was going to be sick. It was such a coupley thing to do. He watched as Sebastian paid for the coffee's before nodding to Tina's table and whispering something in Blaine's ear. Blaine turned around slowly and his eyes met Kurt's. He turned back to Sebastian and started gesturing franticly. Kurt noted how Sebastian smiled calmly at him, before placing his hands on Blaine's arms and sliding them so he could hold his hand. He was saying something to Blaine and Kurt noted Blaine's body language became more relaxed. Once Blaine was calm he let go of his hands, smiled, said his farewell. So no goodbye kiss Kurt thought, maybe they aren't dating. But then this is Ohio so maybe they didn't want to do it public. Kurt knew at that moment he needed to stop analysing things. He waited for Blaine to approach, he had a 100 questions he wanted to ask but they all died in his throat when Blaine arrived at the table.
