Huh. Well, it's been a while since I uploaded this, but I finally have Rosalina's chapter finished, so here.
Queen of the Cosmos
August 2010, 5:42 AM, Comet Observatory:
"This is Luma 841 to Mama Bear, come in Mama Bear…" a woman in a teal dress, grateful to have something to do, immediately responded.
"This is Mama Bear, what seems to be the problem?"
"We have an unidentified celestial body in Sector Chaos, over." The woman let out a long sigh. It seemed that Sector Chaos had many problems as of late.
"Any life forms detected?"
"Many creatures of alien origin, a hedgehog, a fox and a human."
"Him again…Well, can't take any more risks after what happened last time. Prepare for immediate termination, over."
"Roger that. All Lumas in Sector Chaos, prepare for use of the Meteor Shower tactic on celestial body 106." The woman cracked her knuckles and smiled.
"Alright Robotnik, let's play a game…All Lumas, prepare to fire in three, two-"
"Lady Rosalina?" Rosalina took off her headset and turned to face her advisor, Polari.
"What is it, Polari? I'm kind of busy right now."
"Er, as much as I would like to know what it is you're trying to attempt now, we have an issue that you need to address." Rosalina scowled and put her headset back on.
"Hold fire." She angrily took off the headset again and replaced it with her crown. "What's the big emergency?" she said, grabbing her wand and exiting her bedroom.
"It involves one of the newborn Lumas, Lady Rosalina."
"You called me out of one of the most important terminations of an area in Sector Chaos to go look at newborn Lumas?! You're aware of what happened the last time we allowed one of these to go overlooked as well as I do!"
"Yes Lady Rosalina, but this is a rather peculiar case." The ruler of the cosmos and her advisor finally found what the commotion was about, in this case, a young Luma who could barely talk flying around a tree. "This is Luma Number 946, aka 'Lumi'. She appears to not have aged at all in the past few months, when she was born." Rosalina looked concerned. This definitely wasn't normal.
"What of the others? The ones that were born along with her?"
"They appear to be aging normally for a Luma, Lady Rosalina." Rosalina stayed silent and looked at the Luma with fascination. By now, Lumi had noticed everyone staring at her and was looking around curiously.
"..Well then, I suppose she'll just have to be babied…Make sure she doesn't get into any trouble. I have more pressing matters to take care of." Said Rosalina, who then ran back to her bedroom and practically threw her headset back on. "Luma 841, this is Mama Bear, what's your status?"
"…Mama Bear, the celestial body imploded upon itself not three minutes ago. " Rosalina groaned.
"Argh! So close! So close! Any other problems I need to know about?"
"None in Sector Chaos, Mama Bear." Rosalina frowned and made sure that every Luma could hear her.
"All Lumas, any problems in your Sectors?"
"None in Sector Mushroom, over."
"Negative in Sector Hylia."
"Sector Dream is doing fine."
"Sectors Aran and Icarus are both devoid of trouble."
"…" Rosalina scowled when the representative of Sector Smash wasn't responding.
"Do you have anything to say, Luma 563?"
"…Well, there appears to be a bit of commotion involving the two gods of Sector Smash, but nothing too major. Thank you for caring, though." Rosalina rolled her eyes.
"Must be another squabble between the two Hands…Oh well." She thought. "Mama Bear, signing off." She said, taking off her headset. When she turned around however, she was greeted by Lumi floating right in front of her face.
"…Mama?" Rosalina smiled. She just couldn't be mad at a newborn Luma, even if they followed her into her bedroom.
"Yes Lumi, I'm Mama. I suppose, since I don't have anything better to do, I might as well take care of you…" she said, cradling the young Luma in her arms and slowly rocking her to sleep. "Might as well start acting like an actual mother instead of a drill sergeant…And besides, what's the worst that could happen?"
November 2013, 4:30 AM, Smash Mansion:
Peach was awoken to the sounds of somebody yelling in the corridor. She angrily stomped over to the door and slammed it open, glaring. "WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?! Some people need their beauty sleep, y'know!" Mario and Sonic both winced at the sound of the Mushroom Princesses yells. Bowser came stomping out afterwards and, after yelling a few words that the Princess could not stand, Peach gave Sonic permission to give the Koopa King an Indian Burn.
"Look ladies-"nearly everyone scowled at this, "I hate to interrupt your beauty sleep, but we have to get going. We forgot about a little tradition known as the Winter Olympics are happening soon, and Sega wants us in Sochi now." Sonic turned around from his little monologue to find nearly everyone had slammed their doors and begun packing. "...Unbelievable…C'mon Mario, let's go pack up our stuff."
November 2013, 9:28 AM, Comet Observatory:
Meanwhile, Rosalina and Lumi were eagerly watching a movie. Lumi was eating what had to be her weight in Starbit-sprinkled popcorn while Rosalina, dressed in her athletic gear, just calmly watched the movie, only taking a few handfuls of popcorn every few minutes. After the movie had finished, she calmly pulled Lumi out of the popcorn bowl and glanced at her control panel. Everything seemed to be in order, so she directed her attention back to Lumi. "Lady Rosalina! You have a call from Master Hand!" Rosalina nearly fell over when Polari yelled out the news from the doorway of her Terrance.
"WHAT?!" she yelled, rushing to the center of her observatory. She quickly made herself presentable, then accepted the call. "M-Master Hand! What a pleasant surprise!" she said, silently cursing herself for stuttering.
"Ahem, hello Rosalina. I'm afraid I don't have much time to talk, but I'm here to personally congratulate you on being a competitor in the fourth Smash Brothers tournament." Rosalina blinked.
"…I-I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you correctly. What was that?"
"I said, congratulations. You're in the fourth Smash Bros tourney." A loud explosion was heard from Master Hand's office. "Ahem, excuse me, but I have something to deal with." Master Hand left the screen. "KIRBY! DYNAMITE IS NOT A TOY!" maniacal laughter was heard from the screen before someone finally shut it off. Rosalina just stared in disbelief.
"I'm in…A fighting tournament?" Rosalina continued staring in disbelief. "…WOO-HOO!" she finally cried out, jumping for joy. She ran back to her bedroom, packed her things, changed into a new dress and quickly prepared a Launch Star to get to Sector Smash.
"Erm, Lady Rosalina, I hate to interrupt your excitement, but…What shall we do with Lumi?" Rosalina froze. She turned around to find the Luma near tears. Rosalina wanted desperately to leave her behind and finally have some time without Lumi, but she couldn't. She sighed.
"I suppose she'll just have to come with me…" Lumi squealed in excitement and immediately flew into her mother's open arms. Rosalina sighed and activated the Launch Star, sending her and Lumi hurdling across the galaxy. Rosalina knew that her stay in Smash Mansion would be memorable.
November 2013, 9:57 AM, Smash Mansion:
All the Smashers were sitting at the kitchen table, impatiently waiting for Peach to waltz in with breakfast. "What's taking her so long?! I'm starrrrrrving!" said Kirby. Pikachu rolled her eyes.
"Oh please Kirby, you're never starving." She said, clearly taking advantage of her new translator. Pikachu went back to searing lightning bolt patterns into the new table.
"Why doesn't someone else just cook?" asked Villager.
"I'm fine with anyone cooking, as long as it isn't Samus." Said Marth. Samus glared at him and threateningly pointed her blaster at him.
"Watch it princey, I could easily blast your head off from this far away…"
"Why can't Samus cook?" whispered Pit to Link.
"…You saw all our adventures, right?" asked Link. Pit nodded. "Well, do you remember a guy named Roy?" Pit nodded again. "…We think he's still in the hospital to this day." Pit shuddered.
"Forget I ever suggested that Samus cooks." While everyone was waiting, a certain little electric mouse slowly snuck up behind her sister and jumped onto her head.
"PICHU!" Pichu yelled, as she didn't have a translator yet.
"What the-ARGH! YOU LITTLE STOWAWAY! GET OVER HERE!" Pikachu yelled after Pichu hopped off her head.
Meanwhile, Rosalina, who was watching them from outside from the window, raised an eyebrow at the odd sight in front of her. "I guess I was right when I thought my stay would be memorable…Though perhaps not in the way I imagined…" Rosalina, still cradling Lumi, walked up to the door and entered the mansion, not knowing what Hell she was about to be subjected to for the next few months.
Okay, that's done. Next up is Zelda.
