A/N: So sorry for the delay! For those who don't know, I was at my sister's house, and I was dancing and karaoking and hanging out with my family and playing with my nephews all weekend... Also I got held up in the random ice and snow on my way back home, so I only got home a couple of hours ago...
Sorry the chapter is a little on the short side :3

Santana bit her lip. Everyone was practically frozen in place. Her parents were standing on the threshold, the door still hanging open. Quinn and Rachel were wearing awkward expressions, and Dani's face was covered in pure horror. Santana had no idea what the hell to do.
"Q, Rach, maybe you should come back later," Santana finally suggested, her voice careful. She and Dani and her parents needed to talk.
"Right, we'll do that," Quinn agreed with a nod, turning and leaving the house. She was followed by a nervous Rachel.
When they left, Santana's parents stepped into the house all the way and set down their stuff, before closing the door behind them. "Err, uh," Pablo muttered, looking between Dani and his daughter.
"Mija, may your padre and I have a moment with you, uh, alone?" her Mami asked carefully.
"Yeah," Santana answered, biting her lip and giving an apologetic look at her ex-girlfriend. Ugh, she hated thinking of Dani as her ex. Hopefully, soon, she would learn to trust Dani as much as she once had, and they wouldn't have to be exes anymore. Of course, it was evident that she still trusted Dani a ton, because she was already giving her a second chance.
That's what you do when you know someone is the one.
Although she hadn't told Dani when the blonde was ranting about how sorry she was and stuff, but she was pretty positive that Dani was "the one" too. Never had Santana been as depressed as she was when Dani was gone, even though she got closer with both her friends and her family.
Santana followed her parents into a different room, leaving Dani to sit down on the couch in wait. She felt bad for leaving the blonde back there, but she needed to explain some things to her parents before they all had any sort of group discussion.
"She came back?" Santana's Mami asked.
"Obviously," Santana answered, trying to keep her voice level.
"And what have you been discussing?" her Papi questioned.
Santana hesitated. "Mami, Papi, you know she hurt me a lot when she left. But, as me and Mami decided, it's hard to blame her, because she thought she was doing what was best for me, for her and for us. Obviously, that wasn't true. Dani was having a harder time than I was, which is saying something. She came here to tell me that and try to get me back."
"And?" her Mami asked. Santana couldn't tell if her mom was silently pleading that Santana refused, or that she had agreed.
"I told her we can try again. I really love her. She's everything to me. I'm not sure how I survived without her here. I mean, we're not going to jump right back to where we were, but we're going to try the long distance thing and then we'll probably eventually go back to being girlfriends," Santana explained.
"But what about her going into college?" Pablo questioned seriously. "You have no idea who she'll meet, what she'll do..."
Santana gave her parents a small smile. "She wants to prove to me that she won't hurt me again, so she's going to come here after she graduates in LA, and she's going to go to the community college here to get her basics done while I'm finishing high school. And then we'll go off to a bigger college together."
Her Mami and Papi exchanged a glance, and seemed to have a whole conversation in it. Santana smiled slightly. She loved how much her parents loved each other. She wanted to be in love like that.
Maybe she already was.
"Alright, mija. I trust your decision, but I think me and your father would like to have a word with Dani alone as well," her Mami informed her. Santana's stomach twisted up. She didn't want her parents to scare Dani away or something.
"Don't worry, princesa, we don't scare her away," her Papi said with a hearty laugh, reading his daughter's mind. They all walked back into the living room, and Dani's eyes shot up nervously.
DDD
"Dani, do you mind if we speak with you alone for a moment?" Maribel asked. Dani swallowed thickly and shook her head, standing. As she followed her ex-girlfriend's parents, Santana grabbed her hand for a split second and gave it a squeeze, and she gave the blonde a smile.
Grateful, Dani returned the smile and continued to follow Santana's parents out of the living room and into a room that looked like one of their studies or something.
"Dani, Santana filled us in on everything a couple weeks ago. We know all about you two, and how you two broke up, and now she's told us about your plan to stay in Lima after you graduate," Pablo started. Dani swallowed thickly again and nodded.
"Look, I trust my Santana's judgment, and if she still trusts you, then so do I. Frankly, I think she was happier with you than I ever saw her, even if I hadn't seen her much for a while. But I want you to know how much that girl trusts you. I can see it in her eyes, and how she talks about you. And if you ever pull something like you did again, it will not be forgivable by me," Maribel told Dani.
For whatever reason, all of what Maribel said made Dani more confident. She stood straighter. "I'm really glad that Santana told you everything, because I hated seeing her so closed in all of the time. And I know how much she trusts me. She's giving me a second chance, and that in itself is enough for me to know that she trusts me. She trusts me with her heart, and I trust her with mine. And I know we're not officially together again, but I also know that we will be eventually, and for a really long time."
"You really are serious about this, aren't you?" Pablo asked.
Dani nodded. "I did some things that I'm not proud of while I was back in LA. One of them being drinking until I got sick and then some more. I could have died, and I was too depressed to care. That's when I decided I had to come talk to Santana again. I can't live without her."
Pablo and Maribel exchanged a knowing smile. "That is exactly how I've always felt about Pablo," Maribel said dreamily, looking back at the younger girl and taking her husband's hand. "Dani, I can tell that you really love our daughter."
"I do have one more question, though," Pablo said. Dani looked at him nervously. "Do your parents know about you and Santana?"
"My dad's known for a while, he's always been accepting of me. I came out a few years ago, you see. And my mom hasn't always been as accepting, but after she saw how depressed I got over it... well, she let me come back here because she realized that the only way I was going to be happy again was to fix things with Santana," Dani explained.
"Good," Pablo approved with a nod. "Would you like to join us for dinner, Dani?"
Dani smiled. "I'd love to."
They walked back out into the living room, and Santana gave them all a careful look. "You didn't scare her too much, did you?"
"We didn't scare her, mija," Maribel promised with a laugh. Dani flashed Santana a smile.
"Oh, by the way... can Dani stay here for the week? She doesn't have a place to stay..."
"Doesn't your aunt live up the road?" Pablo asked curiously.
Dani frowned. "She's uh, not the greatest person to stay with. Especially when the reason I'm staying here is to spend time with a girl."
"Ah, I understand," Pablo said with a nod. He and Maribel exchanged a look and then they both nodded. "You're welcome to stay here. But just keep the doors closed and locked if you... do anything..."
Dani's eyes widened and she and Santana shared a flustered look. "Alright, Mami," Santana muttered, her face bright red. Maribel laughed loudly at the two of them and started to make dinner.
Dinner was a good. Everyone was comfortable talking about all sorts of things; what Dani was planning on majoring in, Santana coming to LA for Dani's graduation, having a Taylor-Lopez family dinner, Glee Club, and so many other things.
Dani loved how comfortable Santana was with her, considering that they had only made up earlier that day. It only emphasized what Maribel had said about Santana trusting her so much, and it made Dani more and more sure that she had to do everything in her power to keep Santana's heart safe.
That night, they both went up to Santana's bedroom and changed into shorts and tank tops.
Dani stopped before getting into bed with Santana, though. "I-Is it okay if I sleep in your bed with you?"
Santana gave her a cute smile and opened her arms. "Of course! It's been too long since you and I cuddled."
Dani grinned and climbed under the covers of Santana's bed. Santana immediately wrapped her arms around Dani's waist, pressing her front to Dani's back. Dani sighed. She loved it when Santana spooned her.
"Plus," Santana started, "my bed stopped smelling like you, and I need it to smell like you because while you're in LA, I'm not gonna be able to smell you."
Dani laughed lightly. "You're such a dork."
"I know," Santana agreed, and Dani could practically hear the grin on her face by how she spoke. They were both so happy now.
"Santana?" Dani asked in a small voice.
"Yes, love?" Santana asked, getting a shiver out of the blonde.
"Thank you. For giving me a second chance," Dani whispered.
"No, thank you for coming here and saving me," Santana argued.
Dani smiled. "I know we're not officially dating again yet... but I can still tell you how much I love you, right?"
"Of course," Santana said with a light laugh.
"Well then, I love you so much," Dani informed the Latina with a small smile. Santana kissed her shoulder, giving Dani another shiver, before replying.
"I love you so much, too," Santana agreed. "Don't ever leave me, Dani."
Dani felt herself drifting off already in Santana's embrace, but she managed to get out, "I will never let you go."
Awww cuteness happiness fluffiness yaaaaaay.
Like it? Love it? Hate it? Please let me know in a review :) Also, please follow me on Twitter at BrittzandTana. Tweet me that you read this and I'll give you a followback :)
Also thanks for all the feedback about the Brittany thing. Most of you said you wanted her to come into this, a few of you didn't. Those who didn't think there's already enough drama... don't worry. I already started planning it, so I'm not undoing it, but there will be less drama at that point, an you're going to want something to stir up the story :)
Tbh I just wrote a cliffhanger, and I really have to go just start the next chapter so I don't forget the whole drama of it and stuff lol... so yeah, while I let that sit with you... :P
Goodnight loves! Please review!
