PLEASE enjoy, favorite, follow and REVIEW!

Dani waited eagerly in front of the auditorium with her mom, looking for Santana and the other New Directions. She was a little nervous for her mom to meet her girlfriend, but she was sure that she would love her. Santana was, after all, amazing. Dani was sure that if she just acted normal, and her mom didn't act crazy, everything would be good. Her mom, though, had been getting a lot better about not making weird faces when Santana was mentioned, or strange things like that.

Finally, she caught sight of Finn, whose head was kind of sticking up above most people. "There they are, come on." Dani ushered her mom toward the New Directions, and found herself running right into the back of her girlfriend.

Santana turned and beamed at her girlfriend, grabbing her in a hug. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe we won!"

"You guys did amazing! Seriously, if you hadn't won, I would've had to sue someone," Dani joked, but she really was being serious. They had done so amazing.

They pulled apart laughing, and Dani remembered that her mom was here. "Oh, Santana, this is my mom. Mom, this is Santana."

Santana smiled at Dani's mom, extending a hand. "Nice to meet you Ms. Taylor."

"Oh please, Santana, call me Abigail." Dani's mom smiled at the Latina. "You all have beautiful voices, by the way. I loved the songs you sang."

"Thank you," Santana returned politely, smiling at Dani's mom and then smiling at Dani, who was really glad that everything was going okay so far.

"So, where's this dinner at?" Dani asked.

"Hell if I know," Santana answered. "We all have to take the bus there, everyone else is driving. You know, out of state school rules and crap."

"Makes sense," Dani returned.

"So, I should just follow your bus when we all leave?" Dani's mom asked.

"Yep. There'll be other cars trailing it. I think all of our parents are here," Santana explained. "Even mine managed to get a few days off or it."

"What do your parents do?" Dani's mom asked.

"My Papi's a surgeon and my Mami is a nurse at the same hospital. They work a lot," Santana explained briefly.

"Ah, I can imagine," Dani's mom answered.

"Santana! We're getting on the bus!" Dani heard Rachel call.

"Coming!" Santana called back. "I'll see you guys at the restaurant!" Dani caught her wrist before she turned and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Santana gave her a wide smile and then turned and headed off with the rest of the team.

"She seems very polite," her mom commented as they turned toward the parking lot.

Dani smirked. If only she knew how not polite Santana could be. "Do you like her?"

"From what I've seen of her, yes she seems very nice," her mom answered, giving her daughter a smile. Dani grinned as they reached their car.

"Good," Dani breathed out happily.

SSS

Santana had been a little more than nervous about meeting Dani's mom, but she seemed pretty cool from what she'd seen already. Of course, that wasn't really much, but she hoped that Abigail liked her. She was used to people not liking her, but she kind of needed Dani's mom to like her, considering that Dani was going to be living in Ohio for the next year for her.

She climbed into the bus and took an empty seat. "I can't believe we won, you guys," Sam exclaimed.

"I feel like I'm still in shock," Quinn agreed.

"Maybe when we put this in the choir room, it'll be easier to believe," Shue piped up, walking onto the bus with the huge trophy. The club started applauding themselves and laughing. "I am so proud of you guys. You all worked so hard to get here, and you so deserve it!"

"National champs baby!" Artie exclaimed. They all cheered again, laughing.

The bus started driving toward the restaurant they were going to, wherever it was. While they drove, they had a trail of thirteen or fourteen cars following them, their families.

As they drove, they split off into individual conversations, but then they heard Finn start to sing.

"I've paid my dues.

Time after time.

I've done my sentence,

But committed no crime."

Santana was the first to join in, smiling as she sang.

"And bad mistakes.

I've made a few."

Rachel joined in fiercely.

"I've had my share of sand,

Kicked in my face!

But I've come through!"

Everyone sang together.

"And I need to go on and on and on and on!"

Finn started the chorus.

"We are the champions,

My friends!"

Rachel sang next.

"And we'll keep on fighting,

Till the end!"

Everyone again.

"We are the champions,

We are the champions!

No time for losers,

'Cause we are the champions!"

Finn.

"Of the world!"

Everyone started laughing at their impromptu performance and found that they were already pulling up to the restaurant. "I hope you reserved a big table, Mr. Shue, because we have a lot of people for our victory party," Rachel reminded him.

"Don't worry, I pretty much reserved the entire place," Shue admitted.

They walked in and saw that he wasn't even kidding. Only a few tables were occupied, and the rest would just barely fit everyone. Santana found a circular table with five chairs for her, her parents, Dani, and Dani's mom. She couldn't help but feel a little bad that she couldn't sit with Brittany, but she'd rather her parents met Dani's mom. Plus, she didn't want to make Dani feel awkward or anything being around Brittany.

When she saw her parents walk in, she grinned and waved them over. "Mija, you did beautifully! Your voice was amazing! I'm so proud of you!" her Mami exclaimed. Santana jumped up and grabbed her in a hug, and then she switched to hugging her Papi.

"Congratulations, mija. I'm not at all surprised that you all won," he told her.

"Gracias, you guys. Sit down," Santana suggested, gesturing to the two seats next to her.

"Who are those seats for?" her Mami asked.

"Oh, Dani and her mom. I figured they could sit with us," Santana replied.

"Her mom is coming?" her Papi questioned.

"Yeah. I met her earlier, she seems pretty cool," Santana answered, and as if on cue, Dani and her mom walked in the front of the restaurant. Santana flashed her girlfriend a grin as soon as they made eye contact. Dani and her mom started over to them.

"Dani!" Maribel exclaimed, jumping up and grabbing her in a hug. "How've you been?"

"Pretty good," Dani answered. When she pulled out of the hug, she added, "Uh, Maribel, Pablo this is my mom, Abigail."

"Nice to meet you," Abigail said to them.

They sat down at the table and ordered their food. They all talked and got to know each other, and the whole time, Dani and Santana were playing with one another's fingers under the table.

"Is that Brittany?" Santana's Mami asked suddenly, looking across the restaurant. Santana's eyes moved over to where Brittany was sitting with Mercedes.

"Uh, yeah. She came to cheer us on," Santana answered, looking back at Dani carefully. The blonde just gave her a small smile. "We, uh, already talked."

Her parents exchanged concerned looks, and Dani's mom seemed to just be a little confused. Dani just squeezed Santana's hand and then they brought up a different topic.

The victory dinner went awesomely. It was a lot of fun, and they had a huge toast at the end. Santana was so glad that Dani got to be with her too, and her mom seemed to like her a lot, so that was great.

After the dinner, Santana pulled Dani aside. "Thanks so much for coming."

"You don't have to thank me for coming and seeing my amazing girlfriend," Dani countered with a laugh.

"Too bad, I am," Santana said with a laugh.

"I wish we could hang out more later," Dani said with a frown.

"Me too," Santana agreed. "But I'll be able to see you again in a few weeks."

"I know, but I really wish we could see each other more," Dani grumbled. Santana pulled her in for a sweet kiss.

"I love you, Dani," Santana told her.

"I love you, too," Dani returned, sighing with a smile. "I'll call you."

"Okay," Santana agreed, kissing her again. "Bye."

Santana couldn't wait until she got to come back to LA to see Dani.

To be completely honest, around this time, I started to lose inspiration on what to write, which is why this chapter is short and the last ones are also short. :(
