A/N: Sorry for the late update! This is the 2nd to last chapter, and it's really short. The next one is about the same length as well, but I didn't want to put them together because there's a very very small, yet still significant, time jump after this one.

For the rest of the week until graduation, Santana had to stay at Dani's place while the blonde was at school. It really sucked, but she was looking forward to Dani's graduation so much, that it wasn't too big of a deal for her to be stuck at the house by herself.

Plus, they made up for it on the few nights that Dani's mom had to work late.

Finally, though, on the next Saturday, it was time for Dani to graduate. Santana was sitting on Dani's bed, waiting for the blonde to come out of bathroom wearing her graduation robes. They were black, like normal graduation robes, as opposed to the bright red ones of McKinley.

When Dani came out of the bathroom wearing her robes, she looked gorgeous. Her hair was flat ironed, and her robes looked stunning on her, because anything looked stunning on Dani.

"You look amazing," Santana said immediately, her eyes bugging out as she saw how amazing Dani looked.

"Are you sure? Does my hair look okay?" Dani asked, unnecessarily self conscious.

"It looks perfect," Santana insisted, grabbing Dani's graduation cap and standing up in front of her girlfriend. She set the cap on Dani's head, and Dani smiled. She leaned forward an inch to press her lips against Santana's. When she pulled back just a second later.

"I am so excited," Dani exclaimed, a grin spreading over her face. "Tonight is going to be the first night of me being officially graduated."

"Yep, and soon, you're going to be in Lima with me!" Santana added, grinning as well.

Dani's mom knocked on the door, and Dani called, "Come on in!"

Her mom walked in with a camera. "Oh my gosh! You look amazing! I swear, I'm going to start crying when you accept that diploma later."

Dani smiled. "Thanks, Mom. Don't take too many pictures."

"Are you kidding?" her mom demanded. "I have to document this! You are graduating today!"

"I know," Dani replied with a laugh. "Snap away before we have to leave."

Her mom immediately started snapping pictures, and Dani gave the camera her most beautiful smiles. Santana caught herself just staring at the gorgeous girl in front of her.

"Santana," Dani's mom said suddenly, "why don't you get into some of the pictures?" Santana smiled and moved over to her girlfriend, putting her arm around her waist. Dani flashed her a grin, and her mom took another picture. "Beautiful, girls. What time do we have to leave?"

"Three-thirty, in a few minutes," Dani answered. "They are doing the whole thing outside, and they don't want to have to turn on all of the lights."

"Alright," Dani's mom answered. "So, we can go now. I can drive all of us, so we don't have to take two cars."

"Great," Dani said, smiling.

They left the house and headed toward the location of the graduation ceremony, which was at a pavilion outdoor auditorium thing. As soon as they got there, Dani had to go get ready to line up. Santana gave her a quick good luck kiss, and then went with Dani's mom toward the seating.

They had seats in the front, thanks to Dani's mom, and they sat down impatiently. Santana really just wanted Dani to hurry up and graduate so that she could come to Lima and be with her in person. She couldn't wait any longer.

Finally, people walked out onto the stage. The principal and the vice principal talked about pride and perseverance and how hard all of the students had worked to make it to this day. The day that they would finally be out of high school. Santana couldn't wait until she got to finally graduate.

Then the valedictorian came on stage and read her long, wordy speech that Santana didn't even try to soak up. She had a feeling that during her own graduation, Rachel would be saying something similar and probably even more wordy and annoying, so she figured she might as well only have to deal with it once.

Finally, they started calling out names. Santana had to sit through all of the boring names, waiting for them to get to the T last names. She got really excited when they finally finished with the S names, and then went through some weird "Ta—" names, and then finally the principal called out, "Danielle Taylor!"

Santana clapped like a crazy person and cheered loudly as her hot girlfriend walked out onto the stage, her pink hair looking totally gorgeous. She accepted her diploma and shook a few hands, before smiling at the crowd and moving the graduation cap tassel across her hat. Everyone cheered again, Santana and Dani's mom extra loud, and then the pink haired girl walked off the stage and sat next to the new graduates.

As soon as the ceremony was over, Santana rushed to find her girlfriend. As soon as she did, she was flying into her arms, and Dani was laughing into her shoulder. "I'm so happy! You're going to be in Lima!"

"I know," Dani answered, laughing.

DDD

There were joyful tears in Dani's eyes. She was extremely happy. She was eighteen, she was a graduate, and she was going to start college in Lima, where her girlfriend lived. Life was perfect, or at least it felt like it was. Dani knew that nothing could ever pry her and Santana apart.
