Hey Y'all! I'm BAACK! :D What better a way to wait for, in Professor Layton's case, the new game coming out on February 28th in America, the Powerpuff Girl special episode on the 20th, and the new season of Legend of Korra supposedly coming out later this year? With Project AKA of course! No spoilers for the new things just mentioned until I say there will be, so no worries! :D I know very little though so even if that was my intention it wouldn't really matter… XD Enjoy! Sorry for the wait!

A large hallway opened up behind Professor Xandermon. Blossom and Bubbles looked at each other with fearful looks in their eyes, Buttercup and Toph beamed at the mention of training, and everyone else's faces just stayed the same. Xandermon, without another word, turned around and walked into the hallway. Still walking as he called out:

"Follow me, everyone!"

The people reluctantly obeyed, and they were soon all walking in a seemingly endless hall of white nothingness. Luke and Layton were in the front of the group behind Xandermon.

"I feel like we're in the Unwound Future all over again!" Luke murmured almost inaudibly to his mentor.

"The- 'Unwound Future'?"

"That's the name I gave our last adventure in London, Professor!" Layton chuckled just low enough so that only Luke could hear.

"Where did you come up with such a name, My Boy?"

"I don't think you want to know, Professor." And of course, along with the statement came the remembrance.

'I will miss you and our- unwound future.' He remembered Claire say to him just before she died. It probably wasn't the exact wording, considering the fact that it had been years since that day, but the idea was the same. He sighed.

"Not to be rude, Professor, but I told you you didn't want to know!" Layton ruffled the hat on Luke's head.

"It's quite all right, Luke!" The two continued in silence until Luke decided to change the subject.

"Do you really trust Professor Xandermon? I don't know about your intuition, but seems pretty fishy to mine.

"Not entirely, Luke, My Boy." Layton answered. "But no mystery can be solved unless you stick your nose into it!" Luke burst out laughing.

"When did you start saying things like that, Professor?"

"Hm?"

"'No mystery can be solved unless you stick your nose into it'?" You've never said a thing of the sort in your entire life, Professor!" Layton stroked his chin lightly.

"I suppose I haven't… I really need to tell Rosetta to find another tutor." Luke laughed again. He remembered Rosetta. The American girl at the university Layton was a professor of. She was obviously infatuated with the man, and always insisted he tutor her personally. Good grades or bad… She rather scared Layton, as far as the boy could remember.

"All that time with her caused you to catch on to more… American ways a speech?"

"Not all American's talk like that, Luke! You of all people should know!" Luke laughed again, a little less loudly this time.

"You know what I mean!"

"I suppose I do…"

"So you're going to wait and see what happens with Xandermon?"

"Of course, My Boy!" And just then, Emmy came close up behind the two men, causing Layton to scowl.

"Wow, Professor, I don't think I've ever seen you do that before!" Luke glanced over his shoulder to spot the cause of the facial expression. "How could you tell she-" He whispered and didn't quite finish for the sake of not being overheard.

"I just can, Luke."

"You know, Professor, I of all people shouldn't have to tell you you have to forgive."

"I know that Luke, and I have, it's just…" He closed his eyes tightly in a mixture of anger and sadness. "so hard to forget."
