Chapter: 16

Link woke up gently, the rays of the sun were gently brushing against his face. He was still naked and he realized that as he sat up. Zelda was near Epona, back faced to him and fully dressed as she was getting her packed up for their adventure.

She had regrets of course. It wasn't exactly the place she wanted to give her innocence too. And she hardly knew Link enough to lay with him. It still felt…so incredibly good. The touch of his hands still lingered over her back. Link said nothing as he also put on his clothes and walked up to her.

"So…we go to Karkariko Village then?" Link asked as he looked over at Epona.

"Yes, I cant wait until I see Impa" she turned to look at him and tapped her chin.

"Hm…Link, we cant go without a weapon. I heard Russel is a swordsman. Do you think we can buy one from him?" She untied the money pouch from Epona and handed it to him. Link blinked and jingled the large bag.

"Wow…I've never held this much money before. We need to hide this somehow" As if on cue, Link's shadow swirled and floated in the air, leaving the black silhouette of Midna.

"My my, I hope you two don't go at it like rabbits in front of that poor farm man. Eheheh!" she laughed and twirled in the air.

Zelda's face reddened in embarrassment as she took the rupee purse from Link. "I guess I can distribute the rupees to make it look like we don't have a lo-" the former princess jumped lightly as a large black hand snatched the bag out of her hand.

"I can hold onto this for you!" Midna said, leaving them a few rupees behind as she let the bag disappear in a flash of black squares. Zelda blinked and looked at the few rupees in her hand then back at Midna.

"Just don't spend it, imp" as Zelda was about to walk, her short hair was yanked.

"Hey!" she turned around and glared, but Midna was already gone, sunken back into Link's shadow.

Link patted her back and pushed her alongside Epona to the gates of Ordon village. He looked over at the empty house just before the entrance and smiled.

"Hey Zelda. One day when this is all over. I'm gonna live in that" he pointed his finger to the house. Zelda looked up at it and smiled.

"Yeah? Gonna give up the forest then?" Link shook his head.

"No that's the beauty of it. I don't have to. It's right by society and by the wild. I'm living in both of the worlds!" he ruffled her hair and she giggled, swatting his hand away.

"Come on, we need to get a sword. Oh! Hang on!" she reached into Epona's saddle bags and pulled two pairs of matching gloves. She slipped it over her hands, fingerless dark brown cotton gloves. It matches well with her small white and brown dress.

Link wiggled his hands and looked down at the gloves.

"They're great, no one will recognize us now" they walked into the village with more confidence. Russel was at the small bridge that a river ran through. He was fishing with his son.

"Ah! The new guests! Finding everything okay?" He asked, looking over his shoulder at him. Zelda nodded her head.

"Yes, everyone is really nice here. But, we need to move on." She stood there awkwardly, shifting her weight from foot to foot. Had…had anyone heard their noises from the previous night? She had to shake the lewd thoughts from her head.

"Hyrule field is dangerous and we were wondering if you had a sword you could sell us" Link finished.

Russel nodded his head. "Yeah I have a sword, it's the sword of Ordon, I'll give it to you for ten rupees"

Link reached into his pocket, pulling out the two blue ones Midna left for them. "Here"

Russel stood up, patting Collin's head and walked to his house. "You kids wait here now" Zelda watched him disappear in the house. So, it was just her, Zelda and the little boy.

"I think you guys are cool" Collin spoke softly. Zelda turned her head and giggled.

"Really? I always thought I was the cool one, Link can be a blockhead sometimes."

"Hey!" He laughed. Epona whinnied in his defense. Zelda put her hand over her mouth.

"Admit it! I'm cooler than you!" She pointed a finger at him. Link scoffed and flexed his muscles.

"I think not!"

Their arguing got the attention of Ilia, who had a carved necklace of horse grass. She ran up to them, waving the necklace in the air.

"Link! Link!" she called out. Zelda rolled her eyes and groaned. Great, the horse freak was here. Ilia threw her arms around his neck in a big hug. Link stumbled backward a bit, patting her back confused.

"I made this for you! It's horse grass so you always have a way of calling Epona" she handed it to him. Link stared at the item in wonder.

"Wow!" he grinned, putting it around his neck. Zelda stood up and patted Epona's head.

"Thanks Ilia. Epona likes to wander off randomly at times" Ilia ignored her comment and hugged Epona.

"Promise you'll take care of this beautiful thing please?" Link slowly turned his head to Zelda who shrugged her shoulders.

Thank the heavens that Russel came out of the house, handing them the polished swords.

"There you kids are. One brand new sword. I polished it for you too" he grinned. Link took the sword and weighed it in his hands, giving it a few practice swings. Epona nickered gently, uncomfortable.

"Hey quit it! Practice that away from Epona, she doesn't like it" Ilia frowned.

"…..Right. Well, let's get going Link. Don't want to waste any more daylight" Link nodded his head and sheathed the sword over his hip then climbed onto Epona.

They left Ordon village, everyone waving after them. Zelda had her arms around Link's defined waist. His..strong hips and deliciously smooth thighs.

Link was aware of her hands traveling over him and stiffened. He knew what it meant now, but she seemed so upset before they did anything. Maybe he could fix that. They traveled a bit further into the Faron springs, stopping by the water.

Zelda looked up at Link puzzled.

"What are we-" she was interrupted as Link swung her off Epona and pinned her against the wall, smashing his lips to hers.

A euphoric feeling erupted from her stomach. Again with this? This mix of guilt and unquenchable lust? Her thoughts were shattered as she felt Link's tongue over her lips, asking for entrance. She let him in. The two held each other, letting their hands roam over their bodies as their tongues battled in a small game of dominance. Link won, as expected.

He pulled away, their chests heaving lightly from the lack of air. Zelda's face was red and she turned away.

"Did that make you feel good?" he asked. She nodded her head slowly. Good. That made him feel better knowing she liked it. He smiled and took her back to Epona and got back on.

But that was the very thing that bothered Zelda. It was just lust. There was no emotion behind it. She didn't blame Link. She blamed herself. Though it brought the question to mind.

If the goddesses gave her this gift of pleasure, was it wrong to use it in the way she sees fit? So what if she wasn't married? It wasn't hurting anyone.

Then again…Link didn't even understand what he was doing. Her head pounded from all the thinking she didn't even notice Link stopping to buy a lantern from a weird man.

Link got back onto Epona and they started off to Hyrule field again. The field was wide and open. This time, they had just enough supplies to get them to Karkariko. Link was in a good mood. His body was so refreshed from the previous night's activities. Amazing!

He turned to look at Zelda who was marveling at Hyrule field. It was much bigger than she thought it was. And much more beautiful too. He smiled at her wonder and continued to ride.

"Do you think Renaden and Dyraati are okay?" he asked solemnly.

"Of course I do. Why, I even think they're on our trail right now. And in Karkariko, since no one knows who we are, we can spend some extra time there and wait for them to find us" she reassured him.

Two large wolves were lapping up water by Ordon Village. Dyraati picked up his head and licked his lips and started to sniff around the clearing.

"They were here. I can smell them" He barked to his companion. Renaden lifted up his head from the water, having it drip from his chops.

He, too, started to sniff around the clearing until he came upon an odd scent by the shore of the water. Odd, it has this musky scent to it, it was of Link and the female but…different in a slight different way. He shrugged it off and looked over to the entrance of Ordon.

"Do you think they're waiting for us in this human village?" Renaden asked as he shook down his fur and quietly walked up to the gates. It was nearing sundown, and he saw the bustle of people moving around to get ready for the night.

Dyraati follow his suit, crouching down to look over.

"Maybe they are. We can go and have a look around. I'm sure Link will stop any misunderstanding if these humans try to harm us" they both walked inside the place.

"Wow! Look!" pointed Talo as he ran up to one of the wolves. "Aw sweet! Do you think Dad will let us keep them as pets?"

Dyraati growled and moved away from the obnoxious little human. Soon, a chubby little child walked up to them unimpressed.

"I'm sure they'd make great prices on the market"

A shriek caught everyone's attention. Russel had his sword held up at the two wolves. Bo was there with a net and Malo and Talo's parents were behind them with a scrawny looking man.

"Link!" Barked Renaden as he dodged an attempt of being caught by Bo.

Dyraati snarled and pounced, grabbing onto Russel's sword, tossing it in the grass behind him.

"What have you done with our brother!?" snarled the beast. Russel coward as the wolf pinned him to the ground.

Malo's father, charged with a club, smashing it onto Dyraati's head. The brown wolf went limp over Russel's body.

"Dyraati!" exclaimed Renaden as he went to help his brother. Whining in a high pitched note, he licked the bump on his brother's head.

Bo didn't waste time. He grabbed the club from Malo's father and smashed it over Renaden's head.

"There. This should get the town some money to spruce it up a bit. Live wolves! Talk about luck!" chuckled Bo. The men went off to put the wolves in large cages.

Talo huffed. "Man, I wanted to keep a wolf as a pet. All we have is a dumb little beagle. It doesn't even chase anything!"

Our two human heros were stopped by a river. Link was washing his face, his shirt went and hanging off a tree branch. Their gloves were still on their hands, even if they still wore their undergarments.

Epona was grazing nearby them.

"So…how is it like to be a werewolf? Is it scary?" she asked. Link lifted his head from the water.

"I feel like it's scary. I feel like I wont be able to control this wolf inside me" he patted his stomach. Zelda walked beside him, sitting on her knees as she started to wash her hands in the river.

"Why do you want to stop being a werewolf? Don't you think that maybe having a wolf in you is a good advantage?"

Link stayed silent a moment. "I don't want to wake up one day either dead, or everyone I love dead. Sometimes I get so scared that I'll kill everyone. My temper…isn't normal. And you've seen it. If I get mad, I start to kill" he sighed.

"And it might not be even me. You know there's a lot of books on what scary things that werewolves do. Someone will find me and kill me." He laid down on his back and stared up at the night sky.

Zelda stared down at him and laid down too. "I'll admit. You really did scare me at first." She turned her head to him.

"But maybe, getting rid of something you're born with isn't such a good idea? Because you controlled yourself around me as a wolf. And saved me from re-deads. So…maybe instead of trying to find a cure, you just need a teacher?"

He thought about it over in his head a moment.

"I think you're right"
