Hanna's POV
We woke up the next morning, went to shower, then threw ourselves right back into bed. I was busy thinking about last night's activities, completely happy with how everything went. I was cut from my thoughts when I heard the front door open.
"Damn, my mom's home already.."
"I thought you preferred when she was home?"
"I do, I was just hoping for a round 2 after last night," I said winking at Emily.
"How is it that you just woke up and you already want to have sex again?"
"Em, have you seen yourself, trust me if you were me you'd understand," I said causing us both to begin laughing.
"You're ridiculous, you know?"
"Well get used to because you're stuck with me forever."
"Hmm I like the sound of that."
"The sound of what?" I asked acting clueless.
"Forever" Emily said leaning closer to me planting a lingering kiss on my lips. "Alright lets go downstairs now," Emily said after pulling away.
"What? No! You can't just kiss me like that and just say 'let's go downstairs'."
"Uhh I can and I just did. Plus, your mom is home now. We can't really do much, especially since you're so loud."
"I'm so not, you're waaay louder than me," I said jokingly glaring at her.
"Yeah, whatever Han. Let's go now." Emily said pulling my hand, dragging me down the stairs.
"Morning girls, how was your anniversary?" Ashley asked.
"Perfect," Emily and I said in unison.
"Well, I'm going to head out to do groceries, anything specific you girls need?"
"No we're fine," I replied.
As my mom walked out the door she had a look on her face that seemed a little too happy but almost regretful. When the door closed I turned back to Emily, "my mom is hiding something…"
"What makes you think that?" Emily asked furrowing her eye-brows.
"I just have this gut feeling, I'll ask her about it later. Anyways, should we invite Aria and Spence over today?"
"You could… Or we can just spend the weekend together again like last week," Emily said walking towards me wrapping her arms around my waist pulling me closer to her.
"How could I pass that up?"
We spent the rest of the weekend doing exactly what we did last week, I absolutely loved every moment of it, until it was Monday and we had to go back to reality, with responsibilities, work, homework and just stress. I would want nothing more than to just spend every second of everyday with Emily.
I came downstairs, seeing my mom.
"Morning mom, I kind of need to talk to you about something," immediately Ashley's face went red.
"About what?"
"You've just been really… Mysterious lately, what's been going on?"
"Nothing sweetie, you're worrying about nothing," she said giving a weak smile.
"Really? What was that look you had on your face on Saturday before you left, and the look you have right now. I thought we had a 'no more secrets' policy. Now what's going on?"
"Hanna, I can't talk about this with you right now, we'll talk when I get home."
"Yeah right, whatever." I said slightly annoyed. My mom walked out with a look of sadness on her face which made me feel bad about even asking her in the first place. I turned around seeing Emily walk downstairs.
"Oh morning Em."
"Morning… What was that all about?"
"Nothing my mom is just being.. I don't know. Are you ready to go to school?"
"It's school, when am I ever ready to go there?"
"Fair enough, we kind of have to go though. Alright who's driving?"
"I'll drive," Emily said picking up her keys and walking out the door.
"Wait, can we stop at The Brew for some coffee? I need some caffeine if I have to stay awake during classes."
"Of course we can."
I quickly ran in buying two skinny vanilla lattes for Emily and I. The drive to school somehow felt long and awkward.
"Okay, seriously Han. What's wrong?"
"Nothing.. I just can't stop thinking about what my mom is hiding from me…"
"Maybe she's not hiding anything and she's just dealing with her own stuff right now," Emily said while pulling into a parking spot at school.
"No, there's something more than that I know it. I just can't stop thinking about it," I looked down, then I felt Emily rest her hand on the back of my neck pulling me into a deep kiss.
"Does that help you stop thinking about it?"
"Kind of, but I need more." I said smirking and pulling her back into another kiss, as I was about to shift closer to Emily we heard a knock on the window.
"Dammit Spencer…" I said quietly before stepping out and seeing Aria was also there. "You couldn't have given us a couple more minutes?"
"Nope," she said smiling as I shot her a glare. We all stood there more a moment before both Aria and Spencer broke the silence. "Soooooo, how was your anniversary?"
"Pretty good," Emily said.
"Just pretty good?" Aria asked.
"Okay it was amazing, and just perfect. We had the best time and Hanna got me the most beautiful gift ever," Emily said smiling like crazy.
"I'm assuming it's that necklace?" Spencer said pointing to it.
"Yup!"
"So now for the real question… Did you guys do it?"
"Spencer!" Aria shrieked.
"What? It's not like they're not going to tell us, we're best friends."
"I kind of expected this question from you," I said to Spencer. "To answer you, yes we did."
"And?" Spencer asked, expecting more.
"And it was amazing, totally worth the wait. Emily completely took control. It was hot."
"Wait, Emily took control?" Aria asked.
"Yeah."
"Damn Marin you sure changed our shy little girl since you came into our lives," Spencer said shocked.
"I'm not that shy, am I?" Emily asked.
"You are." The three of us answered in unison.
"Oh.."
"Ali was right, shy in the streets, sexy in the sheets." Immediately after Aria said that she tensed up, as Spencer and Emily shot her a glare.
"Ali? Who is this exactly?" I asked confused.
"She's one of our old friends, we knew her way before we met you. She went missing last year." Spencer explained.
"Okay, so who was she to you?" I asked adverting my attention to Emily who's cheeks became a light shade of red.
"Uhh I think Aria and I are going to go now, leave you two to talk.. Catch up later?"
Both Emily and I nodded.
"So are you going to answer my question?"
"What makes you think she meant something to me?"
"Didn't I tell you that I can read you like an open book?"
There was a long pause before Emily started. "She was probably the best but the worst thing that ever happened to me… From the moment we met I felt something."
"Did you love her?"
"I did." Emily said quietly.
"Oh," I said clearly hurt.
"But that doesn't mean anything anymore because I love you. Alison is gone and in the past. I'm with you now, and only you. I'm serious I love you. Believe me on that." Emily said reassuring me.
"I love you too." I said smiling as Emily and I passionately kissed before being interrupted by the bell. "Really.. Again?!"
"I'll try to get home early after swim practice and we can kiss all you want without any interruptions."
"Perfect."
Throughout the day all I could think about was this Alison girl and why Emily never told me about her. Maybe she was right when she said she was in the past. Another thing that clouded my mind was my mother, I really wanted to know what she was hiding from me, so much for the whole no more secrets deal we had. Thanks to my free period I got to come home earlier, I was busy on my laptop patiently waiting for Emily to get home when I heard the doorbell ring. 'Who the hell is here now?" Dragging myself down the stairs I swung the door, seeing someone I never expected to see. Especially since they haven't been in my life for years.
"Dad.."
