Hey long time no see? I wonder who's fault that is...definitely ain't mine! It was time's fault it just slipped through my hand and made me forget I actually have stories to write ;p, anyway so this chapter is an emotional roller coaster but I gave you some happy times first. :) Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 18
1 year later…
Third's persons Pov (The Starks)
Tony and Ariadne were in the basement having another Physics and Chemistry lesson. "Hey dad, what happens when I mix Nitrogen mustard with Sulfur?" Ariadne asked Tony turned around as quick as he could
"Ary don't!" Tony yelled Ariadne screamed and clutched her hand "Oh damn it… is you ok baby girl?" Tony asked his daughter. Tears welled up in her eyes and she clutched him "Oh don't cry sweetie its ok, here come. I'll put some water and peroxide on it and it will be all better." He lead Ariadne to their little made up hospital.
Ariadne looked at her hand and screamed "There are bumps everywhere!" She yelled Tony sighed and brushed her hair back
"You will be fine, they'll be gone by tonight I promise…I have done this to myself plenty of times." He lied he actually had never done that before but to make his little girl feel better he would say anything right about now. She nodded her head and let him take care of her swelling hand.
"I'm guessing we're not telling mommy?" Ariadne asked Tony looked at his daughter shaking his head no vigorously; she laughed at him "Are you still scared of momma?" she asked raising her eyebrow and cocked her head to the side just like her mother does all the time.
"No! I'm terrified of your mother, that's why we're not telling her understood?" Tony said Ariadne nodded her head smiling
"Not telling me what Tony?" Pepper asked while she stood at the door her arms folding and her head cocked to the side.
Ariadne hid her bandaged hand while Tony hid her behind him while she leaned over so she could see her mother. "Um…." They said in sync
"I'm gonna go play with the twins and Bae, Bye." Ariadne smiled while waving her bandaged hand and winced as her mother screeched her father's name.
"Pep, calm down." Tony sighed
"What happened?" She snapped
"Ary mixed Nitrogen mustard and Sulfur; her hand just has a blister that's all calm down." Tony smiled sheepishly
"It better be or I'm gonna kill you." Pepper warned
Madison's Pov
"Bae would you please stop jumping off the table like a bird!" I yelled I heard another loud bang and I groaned in frustration.
"MOMMY!" Bae yelled in pain I ran out into the kitchen to see him clutching his arm
"See why I told you to stop?" I asked my son; he looked at me and nodded I knelt down beside him and used my magic to heal his broken bone "All better, now no more jumping off furniture like you're a flying monkey." I said
"Ooh can I turn into one!" Bae laughed I looked at him and laughed
"Now why would I want my little boy to turn into a flying monkey?" I heard Tristan ask Bae got up and ran over to him
"Dad!" He smiled Tristan picked him up and smiled
"Hey buddy, how was your day?" He asked
"Good, mommy took me to the park, then we got ice cream now I feel all jumpy and twitchy…IT'S AWESOME!" Bae yelled "And, and, and I jumped off the furniture broke my arm, but mommy made it feel all better with her magic! Mommy is awesome." He smiled dreamily
"Mommy is awesome." Tristan smiled but Bae was sleeping soundly in his arms "Hey babe."
"Hey tricks." I smiled he looked at me I hadn't use his nickname in years. I walked over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"I will put the little guy to bed." He whispered I nodded and walked into the kitchen cleaning up Bae's mess, I couldn't believe that in 4 years time I was married to Tristan had a 4 yr. old son and was an aunt to the most adorable little girl. Lux had a daughter; Steve named her Peggy after his first love. She was so adorable. Peggy had Steve's eyes and Lux's hair but for some reason it was curly; she had the chubbiest cheeks in the world. I would say she was the most adorable baby ever but that's a lie, Bae was the most adorable baby in the world. I felt cool hands wrap around me and I rested my head on the owner's chest.
"So you gave him Ice cream?" Tristan asked I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"I thought he could handle a little bit, he was a good boy all day." I said I felt the chuckle deep in his chest as he laughed at me. I smacked his chest as I turned to look at him in the eye.
"This is our son we're talking about?" He asked I rolled my eyes "He can't even handle sugar free gum let alone ice cream."
"Oh shut up." I huffed he smiled and gave me a kiss I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled "You know…I didn't have any sweets today and your kind of sweet?" I smirked
"Oh I'm kind of sweet?" He challenged; he squeezed my sides and I squealed "Shh, don't want to wake up the little jelly bean, sugar." Tristan smiled
"You're taking this a li- his lips were on mine and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he led me to the bedroom…
Arno's Pov
"Please is that all you got?" I asked raising a challenging eyebrow to my Uncle Clint he gave me a lop sided smile and ran towards me but who he ran to wasn't me it was my double; so he ran right through me. My chuckles chorused through the arena.
"The only reason you think your winning is because you're using magic as a crutch…because you don't know how to fight like a man." Uncle Clint challenged
"Oh, you just got served!" I heard Belinda laugh I looked at her and she just shrugged
"Fine, come at me old man." I snapped I let him run towards me but I steadied me feet and when he came for the knees I jumped kicked him in the butt tumbled backwards grabbed his legs from underneath and held him in a side headlock. I heard him banging on the ground and I smiled in triumph.
"Who's the man now?" I asked raising my arms.
"Trying to kill me kid?" Uncle Clint asked I laughed at patted his shoulders.
"Nah." I smiled he laughed and walked out of the room.
"Hey Ar!" Belinda called after me I looked at her raising my head "You coming?" She asked I smiled and nodded running after her.
1 week later...
Third Person Pov
*Sirens*
"Avengers to the meeting room." Jarvis notified everyone got up dressed as quick as they could got their kids and ran to the meeting room. They knew this day was coming but they were hoping it wasn't today.
"All right the attacks are about a mile away so we need to get ready...Ella, Colby, and Calvin just said that the attacks are already in Asgard." Fury said no one was breathing just holding there breaths. "Arno you will be helping in Asgard so that when the time is needed you and the rest of the children may use the Bifrost, Belinda you are taking care of the kids. Madison and Tristan your taking two blocks to the east, Lux and Steve two blocks to the west. Jane, Darcy, Pepper, and Natasha your the ground, Tony and Thor the sky. Coulson, Banner, two blocks south; Banner and Loki two block north but stay hidden." Fury ordered
Everyone nodded in agreement, they all held their kids close knowing this was goodbye most likely for, forever.
"Mommy what's going on?" Asher asked Jane she smiled through her tears
"It's just a drill, ok sweetie." She said he nodded and gave her a hug then ran to take Belinda's hand
"Please take care of her Arno." Steve begged
"With my life." Arno promised Lux held her daughter close to her; feeling betrayed she only got a few months with her daughter that's it. She was never going to her first steps, hear her first words, anything.
"Ariadne no matter what happens remember we loved you very much." Pepper told her daughter Ary nodded crying she knew what was happening she forced her father to spill and he said it as lightly as possible for a 7 year old at least. Asgier gave his mother a tight hug not wanting to let go but Thor pulled him off.
"Daddy?" Bae asked his father Tristan looked down at his son
"Will I ever see you again?" He asked Madison grabbed him and held him close to her.
"Yeah one day." Tristan said as he kissed Bae's head
"I'll be strong like you daddy and brave like mommy." Bae promised as he let go of Madison and smiled
"Alright we need to go." Fury said
Everyone walked holding each others' hand walking out the tower, when they were outside all the adults let go of the kids hands giving one last hug and kiss. They stood in front of their kids in a mighty line looking behind their backs smiling at their kids as they lined up too. Thor and Tony went into the air while everyone ran out to their spots it was perfect sight, but killing at the same time because this was the last time they fought together as a whole as the avengers.
"Bel get them to the safety." Arno ordered before he was beamed off to Asgard.
"Lux you go over there I got your back!" Steve yelled as soon as they hit the second block elves were all over them coming from left and right like a swarm of ants. Lux ran over to get some elves off of a few citizens when she saw Enchantress.
"Well, well, well if it isn't the monster and her mortal." Enchantress teased
"I should have known you'd be here." Lux sneered Lux waved off Steve to go fight off more elves
"But this time its to fight, and only one of us will survive this time." Enchantress warned. Lux brought out her trident she thrusted it forward but missed, Enchantress kicked her in the stomach, lux stumbled and elves ran towards her but Steve got to them first.
"Lux!" Steve screamed she shook her head
"Don't get in the middle of this Steve." Lux begged he gave her a quick chaste kiss
"Isn't that sweet." Enchantress sneered Lux ran after her just to be stopped by a flying car she made Ice appear as it smashed into the bolder.
"Is that all you got?" Lux challenged Enchantress ran towards her with a dagger raised as she made magic swirl around them. Steve tried to keep an eye on Lux but he couldn't see her. Elves came from everywhere making sure he didn't get too close to her. He fought them off until he missed one and it clawed at his chest.
"Ahhhh!" He screamed as they more piled on him he heard the familiar metal humming he rolled to the side as the blue light blast came and evaporated them all.
Lux got distracted by Steve's screamed and didn't notice her Trident come flying towards her after it bounced off Enchantress's wall, Steve turned around just enough time to see the trident coming.
"LUX!" He screeched as she turned around to see the trident coming towards but she was too late. Enchantress smiled at her triumph and walked over to Lux she bent down and patted Lux's face.
"I told you, I was better than you." She smiled as Lux gasped for air "Ironic how your going to die the same way as your grandmother."
Steve ran over and hit her hard with his shield she was knocked out. "Oh my god lux breathe, just breathe please." Steve begged Lux took his head in her hand and kissed him.
"Take me to Peggy please." Lux begged Steve nodded and picked her up "Wait! take it out please it hurts so bad Steve." he nodded and slowly removed it out of her stomach she screamed in agony
"I'm sorry." Steve cried she shook her head while he kept on pulling it was finally out and he picked her up again.
"Pepper it's your turn to go check on the kids." Natasha yelled Pepper nodded and scorched her way through the elves to the kids she saw Ariadne first. Ariadne ran towards her.
"Ary what are you doing out here?" Pepper asked
"I wanted to make sure you were ok." Ariadne protested
"Go with Belinda I have to go." Pepper said
"No! I want to stay with you." Ariadne cried
"Ary...please." Pepper begged there was a buzzing sound in the intercom
"Lux and Barton are down neither are going to make." Fury said Pepper felt herself take in shaky breaths
"Stay with Belinda, Ary." Aunt Pepper cried she ran into the battle Belinda took Ary's hand walked her back to their hiding space.
Pepper started to run back the way she came but fog started to come out of no where she ran into a woman "Ow!" She heard the person screamed "Pepper its me Nat."
Pepper relaxed and blazed her hand so they could see but Natasha wasn't there anymore. "Nat!" She screamed
"Over here." Nat responded but when she walked the way she heard the voice it wasn't the black widow it was an elf she tried to run but she was surround and for some reason her extremis was not working.
"TONY!" She screamed but it was too late elves were pouncing clawing at her left and right poison in their claws one got lucky and got a deep gash in her stomach "AHHHH!"
She heard the metal humming and knew that it was Tony and he fought off the rest he threw his mask off and his shoulder covers and held pepper's head in his lap.
"Pepper I'm so so sorry, God I'm sorry." He cried
"It's not your fault." Pepper promised
"Yes it is...I'm supposed to be your hero save the day." He cried Pepper looked up to see a bullet hitting Tony right in the back.
"Gahh!" He screamed Pepper crawled over Tony's almost lifeless body.
"Tony...tony..." She cried
"Hey, pep." He checked, she smiled his lips were going pale as he gave her his beautiful smile "I wouldn't ask for a better death." He smiled she looked at him
"Why?" She asked
"I get to die in your arms." He smiled she cried harder and held him closer "Come on babe let's lay down one last time." He smiled trying making something so heavy light. They laid down together and closed their eyes for one last time.
Jane and Darcy ran towards were they heard Pepper and Tony scream. But they couldn't find them. They heard a buzzing noise in their ear.
"Stark and pepper are down." Fury sighed "So is...Banner and Coulson."
Darcy picked her pace up racing towards where Natasha "Darce slow down." Jane huffed "Darcy!" Jane snapped
"What!?" Darcy snapped
"I know your sad, angry, heck confused. So am I but you have to calm down." Jane ordered
"Calm down? Yeah I'll try." Darcy replied sarcastically Jane stopped her friend
"Think of the kids, your always doing everything with emotion before thinking." Jane warned she didn't want to lose another friend especially Darcy.
"I am thinking about the kids! I am never going to see Arno get married, or see my grandkids grow up." Darcy snapped
"How do you think I feel! My twins, my twins I won't even get to see them turn 7 or 8! But we can't think about that right now." Jane yelled there was another buzzing noise
"Get to Romanov now! Fury yelled Jane and Darcy ran to Natasha who was laying on the ground holding a bloody wound.
"Oh God." Darcy chocked she held Natasha's hands "If I hadn't got caught up in being selfish, I'm so sorry." Darcy cried
"Shut up, Darce you couldn't have stopped this if you were right in front of me." Natasha joked Jane cracked a smile
"Natasha I'm so sorry." Jane cried as Natasha coughed up some blood and her eye lids grew heavier as she looked between her friends
"Don't be, all the red on my ledger is finally showing." As she laughed bitterly Darcy kissed her forehead "See y'all soon I'm gonna go and beat Clint for leaving me." Nat smiled she took one last shakey breath and slumped completely to the ground.
"Romanov is down...it's just Darcy, Jane, Steve, Thor, Loki, Madison and Tristan." Fury informed
"Madison get out of here!" Tristan yelled
"I'm not leaving your side." Madison snapped she was carrying a slowly dying Steve
"Just drop me please." Steve begged Madison put him on the ground
"Finally I can die..." Steve sighed
"Steve please." Madison begged
"Hey don't cry, I'm an old man over due should have died years ago." He chuckled his complexion got paler as the poison coursed through his blood stream.
"Madi!" Tristan screamed he jumped in front of her as a spear went right through him he fell on his knees and fell over.
"Tristan!" Madison yelled she picked him up but he was already gone. "You idoit why did you take that spear for me." She cried she felt a hand snatch her up by her neck
"You're right he was a fool." Thanos sneered Madison clawed at his hand gasping for air as her feet dangled in the air. "Do you know how long I have dreamt of this?"
She shook her head while her eyesight got blurry "So so long." He smiled He brought out a dagger and pierced it right through her heart he kept jabbing and jabbing still she was nothing but loose limbs in his hand. Thanos turned to Steve who had His eyes closed so he didn't see.
"That's the same way her mother died." He whispered in Steve's ear he rose the dagger again striking Steve in his stomach he twisted it till he felt the ground underneath him. "Sweet Dreams." He chuckled
Meanwhile in Asgard...
"Arno go you need to leave now! Hemdial said only our parents are left." Ella yelled Arno nodded
"Where do I go?" He asked Sif she looked at him
"Go to Aflheim." She whispered in his ear only he heard her when he backed away a sword meant for him was embedded in Sif' s chest. Arno looked at her in horror as she fell.
"SIF!" Colby screamed he ran to her "Please no no no." He begged he cradled he head in his chest then looked up at Arno "Get out of here now Arno." Colby warned
"Colby I- "Get out" Colby snapped
"Colby he didn't mean it." Ella warned Colby glared at her. She pushed Arno to the Bifrost "Take the kids to a safe place."
"Arno! Where is Colby and Ella?" Belinda asked Arno looked at her
"They're still fighting but Ella told me to take you guys somewhere safe, where Odin and Laufey would never think to find all of us." He said looking at Ariadne in particular
"Where?" Darcy asked
"I would love to tell you mom, but I can't" He said trying hard not to choke Jane brought all the kids over to Arno and Belinda. They stood side by side holding little hands and He held Peggy in his arms. Arno flashed them into the deepest part of Aflheim.
Belinda washed all the kids and put them to bed while Arno scouted to make sure that they were safe. When he got back Belinda was crying her eyes out, he ran over to her and held her.
"Belinda what's the matter?" Arno asked
"Hemdial just left a message...their all gone every last one of them." She cried he shhed and cooed calming her down.
"It'll get easier." He cried she looked up at him
"When?" She asked
"One day." He promised he brushed her hair back kissing her forehead.
Fury walked around checking to make sure all the Avengers bodies were there.
"Their all here except for the other two and kids." Fury answered
"Good." He heard his boss chuckle, a lump of regret formed in his throat as the realization of what he did surfaced.
"When will I see your face?" Fury asked
"The moment you tell me where those kids are." His boss challenged
"I told you I don't know!" Fury snapped a bullet embedded itself into Fury's stomach he fell to the ground.
"Then what was the purpose of betraying your precious Avengers?" He asked
"I was wondering the same thing." Fury said as he clutched his wound. His boss walked out of the dark but Fury was already dead, he would never know who he chose over the Avengers. The man walked looking at each person.
"Its almost done...but she keeps getting away from me, but one day I will find you." The man sighed

Hope you guys enjoyed the last chapter, I know it ended like on a cliff hangar but hey who knows there might be an epilogue.
I just want to say...jk jk jk! This story is not over...yet. (Happy belated April fools day, I know I suck XP.) I just had to give you one more near heart attack experience hehehehehehe.
Anyway next chapter will be easier to swallow, I promise! This was a very intense and very emotional, just like me! Lol no anyway (can you tell I'm tired?)
