3 months later...
Arno's Pov
We were running in the forest again. I had Peggy in my arms and Ariadne on my back. I looked behind me to see Asher and Asgeir in the middle keeping a good pace but Belinda was trailing to far behind.
"Ariadne get down." I said she nodded and hopped off I handed her Peggy "You three know where to go?" I asked my cousins they nodded I watched as they ran further into the forest.
"Arno why did you let them go by themselves?" Belinda snapped while I took Bae off her back.
"Because you needed help and I wasn't going to lose you, they know where there going." I protested she sighed and nodded her head I started to run with Bae on my back.
"Yeehaw!" Bae screamed I laughed at shook my head like a horse "Faster!" He screamed
"Bae I dont think Uncle Arno can go any faster." Belinda called after herself. I laughed we made it to a patch of grass were we saw Ary, Asher, and Asgeir sitting in a circle. "Where's Peggy!" Belinda panicked
"Bel, calm down she's right here." Ariadne laughed she pointed at the middle of the circle. The sun started to set and I knew everyone was tired
"Hey, boys and Ariadne go get ready for bed." I said
"But Arno." Asher whined
"Its time for the big people to talk." Belinda said Asher walked off grumbling to himself.
I looked at Belinda and walked towards her "Spill."
"Do...do you wonder how our parents died? If it was a worthy death or just completely unfair?" She asked
"It was an unfair, but worthy death." I said
"Arno what are we going to do?" Belinda asked I opened my mouth to speak "No really Arno, we don't know how to raise kids...Bae has broken how many bones already? Asher and Asgier are asking questions...Ariadne has been having night terrors. Peggy is to small but what happens when she has questions too? Arno I have questions! Like who killed my mother and father...is Colby still alive, Ella is she ok?" Belinda cried I engulfed her in a hug.
"We'll get through this I promise...how about we go to Hemdial to get some closure?" I asked she looked up at me and I smiled
"You'd do that for me?" She asked
"Honest?" I asked she nodded, here we go I'm gonna say it "I'd do anything for you Bel." I promised I gulped and looked at her. She brought me into another hug
"You are amazing." She whispered in my ear I kissed the top of her head.
"C'mon, lets go put the kiddos to bed then we'll go." I smiled
Hemdial's Pov
I watched over the realms, bound to my job for eternity till one of my children are found worthy. All of their lives so short, so fragile. Why mother oh why mother did you give me this cruel job? I watch as they rule over me yet under me; I see everything their births to deaths it has never struck very hard before but now, now the ones I thought who would take my place all of them gone.
Odin, Laufey, and Thanos had gone so astray away from their beautiful purpose; They had killed their own sons, sisters, brothers I wanted to avenge them but a certain 7 would do just as I wanted. I protected them while they slept, walked, ate. I felt their pain I wanted to bring back their beloved parents I could not change time and what had happened as much as I wanted to.
"Hemdial we want to see you!" I heard young Arno shout to the sky I heard as the Bifrost made its familiar humming and churned till it brought up the two children. I stared straight as I always did for if anyone looked directly in my eyes, they would see too much pain for anyone to handle.
"Hello children." I spoke Belinda gave me a small smile the same her mother would give someone when she was nervous and I felt like I had betrayed these children.
"We came to ask you a question." Arno choked I raised an eyebrow and glanced at him for only a mere second
"And what may that be?" I asked
"We want to...see our parents deaths." Belinda said I looked up at the skies. Why did these children always want to endure more pain. I shook my head no but I looked at Arno's face, his eyes looked the same way his father's did the day Odin told him his parentage.
"I don't want you to suffer anymore." I answered
"Hemdial, please its killing us." Belinda begged
"You know not what you ask for! Your just children, just now that your parents will watch over you as I do." I sighed
"Hemdial these are our parents!" Arno yelled
"Yes they are; but I have watched their birth and death. I have watched everything, you do not want to see their death I assure you." I boomed Belinda flinched away from me
"Where's Ella?" Belinda whispered
"Safe." I nodded gazing at her
"What of Asgard?" Arno asked a frown was placed on my face
"In shambles." I answered
"Show us our parents." Belinda pushed
"No." I protested
"Yes!" They yelled together I realized maybe just maybe this would give them peace, maybe this is a way to repay their parents the ones whom I have failed.
"As you wish." I said I let the memory reply opening my mind to the children.
Darcy and Jane cried looking at where their children use to be and then I saw two huge shadows coming I knew who they were; Odin and Laufey coming to find the children but had missed them. I felt myself fill with pride as I knew they had failed.
"Where are they?" Odin boomed
"We're not telling you." Darcy protested Laufey walked closer to her but she didn't flinch "I married your son I'm not afraid of frost giants." She smirked
"Darcy." Jane hissed I watched as Odin outstretched his staff pointing it at Jane and the giant got ready to pounce on Darcy. I had seen this image change over the many years Darcy and Jane lived, I had hoped that it would change for the better but it only got worse and worse.
"We're going to die and our killers are our father in laws." Darcy mumbled
"You know you're not making this any better." Jane snapped they exchanged a look; it got dark and the stars started to come closer and closer and lightning struck them and like a chain reaction they all started to spark with electricity I frowned knowing this was last time they would use the gifts I had given them.
"If only you had never fell in love with our sons...you could have prevented this." Odin said his face showed what he truly was, dark and secretive.
"If only poor little Arno hadn't been tortured and was scared off, and if only Belinda had never trusted Ares, you two would never be in this situation." Laufey smirked and Ares and Thanos ran towards the woman with swords in their hands. I watched as they pierced innocent blood right in the back. A tear dropped out of my eye as if this was the real thing. I felt another part of my wonderful universe crumbles as more innocent blood died. Evil taking more control.
Thor ran into the room to see his beloved Jane laying on the ground with a red tinged puddle around her; dark blood around her midsection. "LOKI!" He bellowed I watched as the God of Lies, stopped in his tracks to see his redeemer slowly dying gasping for air. Each locked eyes with their wives and crumbled to their knees begging me to save them and I knew then that I had failed them.
Thor turned to Odin ready for battle, Loki turned ready for blood; but before I could prevent anything Odin cast a spell to take away his power...coward. Odin and Laufey were only feet away from the brothers; I knew what was next but I glanced at Arno and Belinda almost forgetting they were here also. Both of the children's faces were streaked with tears, they had not noticed their fathers but were still staring at their dying mothers.
"Why father!" Thor screamed
"Power, control, a new start. To rid of this realm of mortals mixed with gods!" Odin yelled
"Is that truly your purpose?" Thor asked
"Yes." Odin nodded
"Then you are a coward! Liar, thief, bastard how mother ever loved you I am baffled." Thor sneered
"She was blinded, I covered her eyes." Odin answered
"Did you ever love her?" Thor asked his eyes begging him to say yes
"She gave me more power than I could ever get by myself yes I loved your mother." Odin answered I looked at Loki his eyes betraying him; his eyes showed fear and confusion.
"Surprised to see me?" Laufey asked Loki. Loki tensed and his jaw squared itself.
"How?" He asked
"I will always haunt you, Loki; your my creation, my monster." Laufey chuckled darkly I felt myself drift more into regret wishing maybe I should just start over but then what would be the purpose to watch this unfold again? "As soon as you two are dead and over with, we will find your little spawns kill them off except for Ariadne. Do you want to know why she is so special?" Laufey asked
"Why?" Thor tensely asked
"Because she is fully human not mixed up with anything all her abilities are humanly." Laufey asked "Its perfect, beautiful, how it should be."
"It is a shame my sons that you wont be able to see the new world." Odin pondered I clenched my staff as I saw Belinda try to touch her mother but her hand pass right through her.
"It will be my privilege to watch you both die, but first I want you to suffer." Laufey smiled Thanos flashed Colby in front of Thor and Loki and I felt my heart clinch more. Why were my children so cruel to each other!
"Colby!" Thor yelled Jane made a strangling noise looking at her son
"Dad." Colby barely whispered
"NO!" Thor cried Thanos threw a dagger at Colby's his collar bone hitting him, Thor screamed trying to fight his way to his son.
"Colby." Belinda choked as she saw her brother fall on his chest sinking the dagger further in. Odin walked away from plain eyesight, stalking his prey. He brought his spear up.
"Brother we must fight." Loki said Thor looked at him
"Together, like old times." Thor nodded
"Like old times." Loki pondered Thor swung Mjölnir and Loki took out his daggers. Thor turned to face his back only to have Odin's spear pierce through him.
"Thor!" Loki screamed his eyes tearing up as he caught his brother. Jane outstretched her hand trying to reach Thor. I listened as Loki tried to cast spells to save Thor, pleading with him to stay awake.
"What did you do!" Loki screamed Odin did not answer just stood and watched "Thor, Thor!" Loki cried
"I love you Loki." Thor barely whispered he turned his head locking eyes with Jane he dragged his body over and screamed in pain. I watched as he kissed her forehead and dropped dead beside her.
"No, no, no, no." Loki screamed "Your not suppose to die! Your not supposed to leave me!" Loki said as he cradled Thor's head
"Isn't that sweet." Laufey snickered he raised Loki's scepter, Loki did not notice Darcy tried to speak but it was a gurgle, Laufey blasted Loki across the room, he slapped into a wall just as he had did when Loki did the same thing. Loki outstretched his hand to Darcy but he was to late, Laufey blasted him into ashes. Darcy made and animalistic sound as she tried to claw herself to what use to be Loki. She stared at the pile of ashes, I heard one of her prayers and I felt myself cave entirely.
I opened my mind so that Belinda and Arno could hear this "Please, Hemdial I am begging you, please let this all be a dream a very bad dream. I...I can't live without him. What did we do to deserve this Hemdial? " Darcy pleaded I wanted to turn a blind eye watch someone else but I couldn't I was attached to this family for some reason. "If this...this isn't a dream then please watch over our babies, don't let these bastards kill them off too."
Thanos came up beside Jane and Darcy, smiling so darkly it sent waves of fear up my spine. He bent down and brushed hair off Jane's face as he caressed Darcy face. "So beautiful such tragic deaths. Oh how I'm going to have so much fun with your children." He sighed, "To see them wither, and beg for their petty little lives, to have their eyes go glassy and black from death." Thanos chuckled
"Hemdial..." Belinda begged I looked at them Arno nodded for me to continue. We watched as Thanos raised two daggers stabbing them in the stomach he stepped on their stomachs.
"MOM!" Belinda screamed I quickly brought us back to Asgard. I looked at Arno who was more pale and Belinda crumbled to the ground
"I am sorry." I whispered
"Take us back home." Arno mumbled I watched as they transported back to Aflheim. Arno held Belinda as she cried in his arms.
Belinda's Pov
Arno held me as I cried, why did I ever ask to see that? Why did my parents have to die that way?
"Bel, I'm sorry." Arno croaked I looked up at him and it seemed to stop, his blues eyes shined in the light. I felt his fingers brush the side of my face and I leaned into his touch, my heart started to race as I felt our faces leaning in closer together.
"Arno.." I whispered
"Yeah, Bel?" He asked I felt our forehead touch and I leaned up as he leaned down
"Arno?" I heard Ariadne called I felt the cold breeze take me over as Arno left to take care of what Ariadne needed, I wrapped my arms around myself as I walked to my bed. My heart was still racing from almost kissing Arno...I'm almost kissed Arno!
Ella's Pov
I was running trying to find Calvin, we were hiding in Niflhiem; I thought it be the safest place to hid us three.
"Calvin!" I screamed I saw him come out of the building
"Ella? Were are you guys?" Calvin yelled
"We're over here!" I yelled back he came out of the dark giving my a kiss
"Don't ever scare me like that ever again." He sighed I smiled
"I promise, don't we Alythia." I smiled
How you like them apples? So I gave you fluff but it was left hanging in the air! Ha!
So I just wanted to inform you guys that I will being making 6 more chapters and then an epilogue and the story will be over :(
