A/N: More sleepovers! Yay! And Judith ends up being the most confusing character ever.
Raven pushed open the door to his apartment, stepping aside so that Yuri could easily carry Flynn in. He closed the door behind them as Yuri carefully lowered Flynn onto the sofa, looking concerned.
"I've called a friend of mine who's a nurse over, so she should be here in a few minutes. Do either of you want a drink?"
They both shook their heads, and Raven gave a shrug before heading into the kitchen, leaving them alone in the living room.
Flynn let his head rest on the back of the sofa, then frowned. "Yuri, can I ask a question?"
"Okay..."
"Why did you just leave like that?"
Yuri blinked before looking away. "...I was talking with Sodia, and she made me realise that the only reason you're getting dragged into this is because of me."
"What do you mean?"
"If you hadn't had to help me, you wouldn't have been bullied or hurt or attacked. You'd still be doing what you normally do, without having to worry about me. So...I figured, I may as well just keep away while I still could. But I guess it was a bit too late in the end anyway."
Flynn lifted his head to gaze at Yuri a moment, then grunted and let it drop again. "You're such an idiot," he muttered.
Yuri glanced up, looking put out. "Well, I'm sorry if I was putting your health first..."
"That's not what I meant." Flynn shrugged, then winced before sighing. "I mean, thanks for the concern and all, but letting me go back to 'what I normally do'...All I normally do is work. You were going to let me go back to that?"
"Sodia and everyone would have probably been there..."
"No, you don't understand, Yuri. Look, do you remember what we talked about? It wasn't too long about, a couple of weeks at most...How you were saying that the reason I kept helping you was because I wanted a friend."
"Yeah?"
"Well...I wanted a friend because I was lonely. I was tired of always working, and never really hanging out with someone. Everyday was so repetitive; I just got up, did paperwork, schoolwork, homework and paperwork, then went to sleep and did it all over again. I didn't realise how bad it had gotten until you came along." Flynn glanced at him. "You're a lot different from me. You don't really take anything seriously unless it's important, and you're always laughing and smiling and playing around. You actually had emotions. I just...stopped caring. That's why I was so glad you came along. And that's why I got so worried when you left."
Yuri blinked, then let his gaze fall to the floor. "...Sorry."
"You better be. Anyway, I'll have a word with Sodia about this too. It's a bit weird that she got like that...but I'm sure she had a good reason."
Yuri titled his head slightly, looking at Flynn, then bit his lip before looknig up. "Flynn, I-"
"Where's my sickly little patient then?" a voice asked.
Raven poked his head from the kitchen then grinned. "Judy! Good of ya to come," he said, motioning for her to enter.
The two boys blinked as she stepped into view. "Wait...You're our teacher!" Yuri said, confused.
She smiled. "Yes, well, I never said I only had one profession, did I?" she pointed out, striding into the room.
"No, but I mean...what?" Yuri stammered, mind blanking.
"If it makes you feel better, I was there to keep an eye on you," she explained, shooing him off the sofa and sitting beside Flynn.
"What? Why?"
"Judy works as the school nurse anyway, so when I asked her to keep an eye out for a Yuri Lowell, she said she knew who you were and agreed," Raven said, leaning against the wall as he drank from his cup.
Judith carefully checked Flynn over, noting how he flinched as she touched his chest. She nodded, tapping her cheek. "You've definitely broken it...Alright. Don't bandage it this time, you need to be able to breath easily. Take some Ibuprofen and Paracetamol to help with the pain a bit. Also, an ice pack against the injured area should help with any swelling. It'll probably hurt for you to breath and cough, but you can't avoid doing either of those. Take deep breaths, and I recommend doing ten very deep breaths every hour. It'll help prevent any infection."
"Right."
"Also, Flynn, no school. It'll take from three to six weeks for it to heal properly, and you cannot do any strenuous activities during this time. Just go home and rest in bed."
"But what about the rest of the exams? And I have all of my work..."
"Someone else from the student council can do your work, and I'll write a sick note for you saying why you can't come school. Next week is half-term anyway, so just use that time to rest." She looked at Yuri. "Yuri, I'm relying on you to make sure Flynn doesn't move around too much. He's not allowed to even walk around too much, though bathing should be fine."
Yuri nodded, then bit his lip. "It's going to be pretty awkward paying for food for three weeks if I can't work.."
"Mmm...There's a point. Raven?"
Raven blinked then sighed. "Fine..." he muttered, before looking over at them. "You got two options. You guys stay here for however long it takes Flynn to get better, or I lend ya money to pay for food. Which is it gonna be?"
"We can't just take money from you..." Flynn protested.
"Good. Staying it is. Probably safer anyway, 'specially since those guys know whereabouts you live, Flynn."
"Aren't we just going to get in the way?" asked Yuri hesitantly.
"Nah. It'll be easier, anyway, seeing as I can keep an eye on you two this way; doing my job and a favour at the same time."
"But..."
"Just stay here. It'll make it easier for me to give you check ups as well, Flynn," Judith said with a sigh.
Flynn bit his lip, then glanced at Yuri. "Do you think we should?"
"Hey, my house is your house. I'll do whatever you're doing," Yuri said with a shrug.
"This is the worst time to put total decision making on me, Yuri," Flynn said flatly, face expressionless.
Yuri grinned. "I'm being serious! I gotta stay with you wherever you go, so it's up to you what you do."
Flynn gave a sigh, then looked over at Raven. "Fine, we'll stay," he said.
"Excellent. Patient gets the spare bed. Yuri? What're ya going to do?"
"Sofa?"
Raven made a face. "Believe me, I tried sleeping on there once. Was not fun."
"Yeah, but I've basically been living on sofas for two weeks. Well, whatever, do you have another bed?"
"The double Flynn's gonna sleep in, yeah."
Yuri blinked before facepalming. "My options are sleeping on an uncomfortable sofa or sleeping with Flynn?"
"Basically, yeah."
Yuri groaned, then looked over at Flynn. "Well?"
"Hey, why are you asking me!? You're the one it affects, not me!"
"It affects you if I sleep with you," Yuri pointed out.
"Are you going to sleep with me then?"
"Maybe."
"You two should just go out and save yourselves the trouble of choosing. I'll get going now, Raven, but I'll pop around tomorrow to make sure Flynn's healing well," Judith said, standing up and heading out with a wave. Raven watched her go with a grin, before turning back to flat stares.
"What?"
"Give it up old man, she's too young for you," Yuri said.
"You being with her is a really creepy idea," Flynn agreed.
"I wasn't thinking that!"
"Of course you weren't."
A/N: So, we're getting to a super weird bit now. This whole thing is weird. And unrealistic. (I've never hated something I wrote as much as I hate this...)
