Chapter 22
Ariadne's Pov
I had finished making our little tesseract so we were going to earth tonight. Arno devoted himself to train us to fight; Belinda had gotten some armor for the boys, Peggy and Alythia. Arno and I didn't need armor me well because of the extremis and Arno because he was too quick to even get caught.
Belinda had finally learned how to control her mighty storm, it was awesome. Asgeir, Asher and I had figured out the correct equation now I pray to god we're right or this will be a very painful death. I set down my invention and stretched my arms out. I looked over to see Peggy and Alythia playing together it was good to see Alythia finally happy. After Belinda finally realized she was in fact Ella's daughter she took Alythia under her wing and told her stories every night.
I walked over to Bae "What are you doing?" I asked he looked at me and gave a wide smile
"I'm giving everyone a name." He smiled I looked over his shoulder to our actual names beside our alter egos "Like how our parents did."
"What's mine?" I asked
"Flaming Time." He laughed I looked at him with wide eyes
"Please tell me you're joking?" I begged he shook his head
"Or would you prefer Vortex?" He asked I liked the sound of that one I nodded and sat down beside him
"What's everyone else?" I asked he looked at the paper
"Peggy is Darkstar, Asher and Asgeir are Thunderous Kings, Arno is Chaos, Belinda is Beautiful Storm, and Alythia is Mysterious." Bae told me I smiled
"What's your name?" I asked he looked at me
"I don't have one, nothing special 'bout me." He shrugged
"Yes, there is...you're the last eternal heir." I laughed
"Well yeah now that Thanos is dead but what's so special about being the last one?" He asked I gave him a small smile
"Superman was the last of his kind, now look at him." I countered
"I have magic and I can control the energy around me so?" Bae rolled his eyes
"You'll live longer than all of us too." I added he nodded his head
"I don't want a name." He lied I smacked his arm "Ow! That hurts Ary." He whined
"How about Eternal?" I asked
"Very original Ariadne." He snorted
"Alright...Silver?" I suggested
"Why?" He asked
"Your mom's eyes were nearly silver and your dad's favorite was silver besides blue of course." I stated Bae gave me that smile his dad would smile all the time and I smiled back "You like?"
"Yeah it's cool." He nodded I got up and offered him a hand
"And you who said you wouldn't be getting a name?" I smirked
"You're annoying you know that Stark?" Bae sighed
"Hey it runs in the family." I shrugged while walking away
Third Person's Pov
"Alright everyone we have code names ok?" Bae asked Belinda and Arno looked at each other Bae had been talking about this all day.
"Would tell the names already Bae?" Asher sighed
"So, impatient Ash." Bae smirked Asgeir smacked Bae's head and looked at him "Look! I am not the twins' personal punching bag we got that?"
The twins laughed at him and nodded "Sure." They said in sync
"You know what I should change your names." Bae said pointing at the twins
"Bae, please tell us our names we're losing precious time." Belinda asked
"Fine, Ally is Mysterious, Pegs is Darkstar, I'm Silver, Ash and As are Thunderous Twins, Ary is Vortex, Aunt Bel your Beautiful Storm, and Uncle Ar is Chaos." Bae narrated he puffed out his chest and made him levitate a little "Now, my mighty heroes...Peggy the honors?" He asked
"Next Avengers Assemble!" Peggy yelled holding up her make shift Captain America shield. Ariadne let her Stark Portal (that's what she decided to call her invention) on the ground, she blasted it with heat and Arno with the frost, you could hear the sizzling and Belinda formed her tornado, thunder clouds circled the group lighting every few seconds striking the portal, Bae helped contain the energy around them while Peggy made sure they were covered by a very dark mist, Asgeir, Asher, and Alythia made a circle protecting if anyone was to come near them.
Few minutes later, Ariadne noticed a blue spark and new it was time to back. "Arno we can stop now." She yelled over the wind Arno nodded and stepped back Belinda looked at Arno.
"Get everyone ready." Belinda demanded he nodded everyone stood behind Belinda, Peggy and Bae as the portal started to spin making a high pitched sound a hole formed underneath them.
"Asgeir and Asher go first." Belinda yelled she watched as her brothers jumped into the spiral hole and then after them Ariadne and then Alythia, Peggy and then Arno.
"Belinda go, if I don't maintain this end there's no point." Bae screamed
"We jump at the same time." Belinda ordered Bae agreed "1...2...3...JUMP!" They jumped at the same time Bae looked down and saw the portal closing he started to control the energy making sure it stayed the same till they made it to earth. He felt himself start to burn just like the electrons and protons were; he let out a gut wrenching scream.
"Bae!" Arno scream as he watched his nephew fall out of the sky he ran over catching Belinda and then dropping her to catch Bae. Arno turned into a frost giant to cool Bae down.
"Oh god." Belinda whispered
"C'mon Bae open your eyes." Arno begged Alythia took off one of her leather gloves letting a golden mist dance out of her fingers she closed her eyes gritting her , teeth. Bae gasped and jolted forward Alythia fell to her knees looking at Bae.
"Thanks Ally." He hoarsely whispered she nodded putting her leather glove back on. Everyone looked at the little girl
"I touched Eir when I was born." Alythia responded Ariadne ran over and gave Bae a hug and Peggy slammed his arm
"Scare me like that again, and I promise your dead." Peggy sobbed Arno held Bae close sighing with relief
"Aw, you guys missed me." Bae joked
"Are you ok?" Arno asked
"Yeah just a little toasty." Bae smiled everyone turned around to look at their home, that they had missed so much
"...We did it guys." Ariadne chuckled lightly
"No, stark you did it." Asher smiled Belinda and Arno looked at each other, they were in New York but it didn't look like New York. Everything was in shambles, building crumbling; cars turned over and charred from burning.
"Where is everyone?" Asgeir asked
"I don't know." Belinda said Peggy and Alythia ran to a building Ariadne followed them "Girls be careful!"
"Guy's come look at this!" Peggy screamed they walked over looking at the building "Look." Peggy pointed to a sign there was an S, K and then a T, W, R Arno used his magic to elevate. He picked up the other letters he arranged them and heard as Ariadne gasped.
"No..." Belinda breathed
"Stark Towers." Peggy read out she looked at Ariadne then at Asher "Is that...?" She asked him he nodded everyone took a deep breath in no one was talking you could hear every breath the children took as they looked down at their old home, where most were born walked and talked, were their parents laughed and everything was normal.
"Well isn't this heartwarming?" Laufey sneered the boys turned around all ready to fight
"Leave now." Asgeir hissed
"It's been so long...Thanos really did show no mercy with the age problem." Laufey snarled Asher drew out his sword
"Want do you want?" He snapped
"Well before we get to that...how have you kids been? It's been what a months...a year?" Laufey asked "I just wanted to catch up; alright since you won't talk to me I'll talk to you. Well after we killed your mommy's and daddy's we destroyed Asgard and Earth, everyone is hiding in fear. It's wonderful! Thanos sadly was pushed into a cage then thrown into a black hole." Laufey sighed while eyeing Arno
"I thought he was let down easy." Arno shrugged
"Years in dark torment?" Laufey sneered
"It's better than what you did to our parents!" Bae screamed
"Oh when Odin and I are done with you band of misfits you'll wish you were your parents." Laufey snapped Bae shrunk back and looked at Laufey
"Ariadne on my signal." Arno whispered
"But Arno you- "Forget what I told you alright?" Arno snapped she nodded "Just tell us what your here for."
"You already know." Laufey smiled his smile scared the children Ariadne looked at Arno
"What is he talking about?" She asked
"Nothing, his playing with your minds." Belinda interrupted
"Bel, how are you doing? Ares betrayed you that must be hard." Laufey mocked her
"I found someone better." She said raising her head and taking Arno's hand
"Oh!" Laufey laughed
"Ariadne get ready." Arno whispered
"Well enough chit chat." Laufey sighed "Elves!"
"Ariadne now!" Arno screamed Ariadne outstretched her hand freezing time around Laufey and the elves for a few seconds "Run!" Arno yelled at the kids they started to run as Arno carried Ariadne they turned a few blocks
"Arno where are we going?" Belinda asked
"Olympus." He stated Belinda stopped running and looked at him "We'll be fine I won't let him get to you." He promised she kissed him and nodded
"Ok." Belinda whispered they started to run faster when they heard Laufey screaming their names Peggy made a black mist form behind them so no one could see them, they arrived at the Empire Building they ran up the steps. Peggy and Arno flashed everyone to the top and fell in front of a very angry Zeus.
"Ariadne do it again please." Arno whispered she nodded freezing Zeus and his brothers and anyone else she thought a threat to her family. "Bel go get Aphrodite she can help us." Belinda ran to get Aphrodite she heard Apollo and her laughing in Aphrodite's house she knocked on the door.
"One minute." Aphrodite said Belinda kept banging on the door "Gods I said one minute wha-Bel?" Aphrodite asked she saw Cupid flying around the house dropping love spells somewhere.
"W-we need your help please come." Belinda begged
"Of course! Apollo." Aphrodite shouted Apollo came out of the room
"Yeah?" Apollo came to the door "Oh my gods Belinda?" He asked stunned Belinda ran to where her family was
"Oh gods Arno." Aphrodite choked
"Not now Aphrodite can you take us to your secret hiding spot?" He asked she nodded and flashed everyone to a house on a cliff in upper part of New York. "Thanks." He smiled lightly Apollo went around checking on the kids making sure they were ok and that nothing had got them.
"Everyone's good just really tired." Apollo smiled "Especially Ariadne."
"Yeah she froze time for us." Belinda smiled as she laid her head on Arno's shoulder
"I always knew you two would get together." Aphrodite giggled
"Mhm." Arno hummed
"Where have you guys been?" Apollo asked
"Different realms hiding from people who want to kills us you know same old same old." Belinda sarcastically said
"Well, I'm glad you guys are ok, and is Alythia your kid?" Apollo asked Belinda blushed and Arno cleared his throat
"No...She's Belinda's niece Apollo." Arno said
"Gotcha, we should go Aphrodite, dad is going to be pissed." Apollo sighed
"Alright... I'll have cupid come and check on you guys later." Aphrodite nodded she gave Arno a kiss on the check "Bye." She half smiled the two gods flashed back to Olympus and Belinda eyed Arno.
"What?!" He laughed
"She so likes you." Belinda teased
"Oh well, I'm taken already." Arno shrugged
"Oh by who?" Belinda asked Arno moved in closer smirking while searching Belinda's eyes
"You...my beautiful storm." He smiled Belinda closed the space between them kissing Arno deeply and passionately, Arno held Belinda close as she tangled her finger in his hair.
"NO!" Ariadne screamed Asher jumped up ran over to his cousin as she thrashed in her sleep.
"Ary...Ary! Wake up it's just a dream." Asher whispered Ariadne woke up clutching Asher's shirt as he held her head and "It was only a dream." He promised
"No it wasn't, there never just dreams." Ariadne cried
"What happened?" He asked
"I-I...I do something terrible." She cried
"You could never." Asher said
"This time I will, I have to make a choice Asher...and neither is good." Ariadne said looking at him in his eyes Asher took a shaky breath understanding what she was saying
"What are the choices?" Asher asked
"Taking us to be with our family..." Ariadne looked at his eyes
"Or?" He asked brushing her hair
"Separating us and wiping our minds." She whispered Asher looked away not daring to look at Ariadne he nodded
"When the time comes you'll make the right choice." He nodded
"Neither is right!" She yelled
"Ariadne." They heard a man sigh they looked to see Hemdial standing in front of them
"Hemdial?" Ariadne asked he nodded and stepped to the side to see her mom but more like a flame and her mother's face
"Ariadne, you know which one to choose." Pepper whispered
"But mom, it's not fair." Ariadne cried
"I know sweetie, I know." Pepper soothed
"If I choose one, we die. I choose the other we might as well die." Ariadne said
"I will be there to help you." Pepper promised
"Aunt Pepper?" Asher asked Pepper looked at her nephew
"Asher?" She asked
"Are...are my parents ok?" He asked she smiled
"Yes." She said Hemdial waved a hand and Pepper disappeared
"Tomorrow you need to make your choice...please choose the right one whatever you choose will affect me also." Hemdial sighed Ariadne nodded and Hemdial left
"Well get some sleep, I guess Laufey finds us tomorrow." Asher grumbled
"I can't promise I'll make the right choice." Ariadne blurted
"Its fine, I won't hold you to anything." Asher nodded
I posted two chapters in two days! It's a miracle! How was the chapter? I hope you enjoyed it.
The next chapter should be up soon, probably after the weekend though.

P.S. I gave you a hint on what the next chapter will end with hehehehe, you probably knew that already though. I don't know if I told you this or not but this is officially the end of the series after this one is done, I will not be writing any other stories on it :,( I really like how I'm ending it and I want to keep it that way before I ruin it.
But I just realize because I am almost finished my other story that my life will now be very...empty. I am kind of in a prompt mode so if you have any ideas or request I will gladly right them and who knows maybe one of them will turn into a story *shrugs* you can PM or message me on tumblr at KorenHaze :)
