Chapter 12
December 22nd
Lucy and Stephanie sat in a restaurant together.
Stephanie looked at her friend. "You still okay after what happened yesterday?"
Lucy nodded her head. "Yeah. I mean, I am upset that he chose her to be his new girlfriend and all, but if he's happy with her," she paused. "Then there's really nothing I can do."
The other girl nodded. "Yeah. But you don't deserve to be treated like that."
Lucy breathed a laugh. "I was the one that was stupid enough to sleep with him, of course I deserve it."
"No you don't." Stephanie repeated. "We'll talk more about this once I get back from the restroom."
Lucy nodded her head. "Whatever."
Stephanie get up. "Don't 'whatever' me, young lady."
"Yes, Mother." Lucy smirked.
Stephanie shook her head at her friend before heading towards the restrooms.
Once Stephanie left, Lucy checked her phone.
As she was checking her phone, a boy sat down in Stephanie's seat.
Lucy looked at him. "May I help you?"
"You're Lucille Martin, right?" he asked.
"Lucy." She corrected.
"Right. So, you're her, right?"
"Yes."
He lit up. "Great! I'm Hunter, I heard what happened between you and…"
"Luke?"
"Yeah, him. What he did was uncalled for. And, well. I kinda have a crush on you, and I was kinda hoping we could, get together."
"You know I'm pregnant, right?"
Hunter nodded. "Yeah, I do. Pretty much the whole school knows."
Lucy nodded her head. "Yeah, they do."
Hunter nodded. "Yeah. So, do you want to go out? I can understand f you don't."
Lucy smiled. "Sure, Hunter. We can go out."
He smiled. "Great! So, what time should I pick you up?"
"Whenever, just after 6:30 and before 10:00."
"Does 7:00 sound fine?"
"Sounds fine."
"Awesome. See you then."
"You too." Lucy smiled.
He smiled as he got up and left.
Stephanie notice him as she got back to the table.
"When I get back with the food, you better tell me what that boy said to you."
Bailey walked into her oldest daughter's room.
"Hey Lucy."
Lucy smiled. "Hey Mom."
Bailey sat on Lucy's bed. "Did you tell your father about you going out tonight?"
Lucy shook her head. "No. I don't want him to freak out on me."
Her mother nodded her head. "I can understand that, Lucy, but you should still tell him."
Lucy sat next to her mother. "But, you didn't tell daddy that you were pregnant with me and Micheal. And that's bigger than me going out on a date."
Bailey sighed. "I didn't tell him because, I was afraid he'll leave me, not accept you or your brother."
Lucy looked at her mother. "But dad loves you. He wouldn't leave you."
"He could've, Lucy. I mean, I know you don't wanna hear his name, but, Luke loved you a lot, but he ended up leaving you."
"Because of a lie Angela told him."
"He still left you, Lucille."
Lucy got off her bed. "Yeah." She turned towards her mother. "Do you think I should tell daddy?"
Bailey shrugged her shoulders. "I think you should, otherwise I have to tell him if he asks where you are."
Lucy groaned. "Please don't tell him."
"Then what am I supposed to tell him when he asks where you are?"
"That I'm at Stephanie's." Lucy pointed out.
"What if I don't wanna lie to him?" Her mother asked.
"Fine. You could tell him that I'm out on a date. But only after I'm gone."
Bailey nodded. "Okay." She got off the bed. "I love you, and you better be careful. And don't let that boy hurt you."
"Love you too, Mom. And I won't."
"Good." Bailey said as she left the room, with Lucy following shortly behind.
After Hunter and Lucy's date, Hunter walked with her to the elevator.
"You know. you could stay with me until we get to my place." Lucy told him.
"But won't your father kill me? I'm pretty sure he's still up."
She sighed. "You're probably right."
Hunter wrapped an arm around her. "'Aww, who cares. I'll go with you."
Lucy smiled as she pressed the 'up' button.
Once they entered the elevator, Hunter began asking her questions.
"So…. What do you want?"
"You're talking about the babies, right?"
He nodded. "Yeah."
Lucy sighed. "Honestly, I don't really care. I would like to have at least one girl. But if they're both boys, I'll be okay, I can always try for a girl some other time if I really wanted to."
Hunter nodded. "Do you…. Regret, you know….. Sleeping with Luke?"
"Yes. I do regret sleeping with him. But I don't regret my kids, I mean, they never asked to be born, or be on earth in general."
Hunter nodded. "That's true. Are you tired of me asking questions?"
Lucy laughed. "No. I'll have to get used to those questions anyways."
Hunter smiled. "Yeah, especially once we get off of break."
Lucy nodded as they reached her place. "Thanks for taking me out, Hunter. I had fun."
"Me too. See ya later?"
"See ya later." She said as she get out of the elevator.
Yay! I got a chance to update again!
I've just been pretty busy lately, with school, family things, writer's block, and I injured my left middle finger on Thanksgiving while peeling a potato (long, well, not really, I just don't want to explain how), so it's kinda hard to type right now.
Anyways, I'm not sure when I'll be abled to update again as this was a little difficult to write, but I'm not gonna let this story disappear as I already have some future chapters planned.
Anyways, I hoped you guys enjoyed! Hopefully I can update as soon as I can!
