Chapter 13
*Warning: This chapter has a lot of curse words; if you feel uncomfortable reading words like that, then you may want to not read parts of 'December 23rd'*
December 22nd,
Once Lucy was fully out of the elevator, and the elevator traveled back down, Cody approached her.
"There you are!" He exclaimed, walking closer to her. "Where have you been? What did the boy do to you? Did he do anything you didn't want him to?" His eyes went eyed. "He never tried anything with you did he?"
Lucy's eyes widen. "No! No, no, no. No, he didn't try anything with me. Matter of fact, he was very sweet. He didn't even try to kiss me... Which I'm a little upset that he didn't." She looked at her father. "Not that I wanted him to kiss me, but I wanted him to at least try to... Okay... Maybe I did want him to kiss me, but Daddy... if you were a girl my age, you'd want him to kiss you too. Not only is he really attractive, but he's super sweet and caring."
Cody slowly nodded his head. "Okay... I don't even have this boy's name, what is it?"
"Hunter... Why would you need his name?"
"So I don't always have to call him 'boy'. Plus, as a father, I need to meet him, to make sure he treats you well."
Lucy groaned. "You're not going to embarrass me, right?"
Cody shook his head. "No! I would never do that. I'm probably gonna scare him off."
Lucy started to laugh. "You? Scare him off? You can't even scare a bird away, and they freak out over anything."
Her father frowned at her comment. "Just think, Lucille, you got half of your mother's genes and you got half your genes from me. What you say about my inability to scare someone, or some bird, may just come back and haunt you."
Lucy shook her head slightly. "Whatever Daddy." She sat down on the couch. "Where's mom? And Michael... And Tommy... And the rest of them?" Lucy asked after a while.
"The younger ones are sleeping in their rooms, Michael's probably in his room on his computer, and your mother's... Right here." He finished once Bailey entered the living room.
She hugged her eldest daughter. "So... How was it? Did you have fun?"
Lucy smiled. "It was amazing, he was just so sweet. "
Bailey smiled. "That's good." She frowned. "Does Luke know?"
Cody exhaled loudly. "Why should she tell him? Personally, I think it's none of his business if she starts to date another guy. He never told her about the Jasmine girl. "
"Jasmanie..." Lucy corrected.
Cody rolled his eyes. "I don't care want her name is, he doesn't have the right to know if she's dating again."
Bailey wrapped her arms around her husband. "I just asked her a question, sweetheart, I can care less if she told Luke about him. They're not dating anymore, so Luke shouldn't care anyways."
Lucy sighed. "That's right. He never told me about Jasmanie, so I'm not telling him about Hunter."
Bailey nodded. "Good." She let go of Cody. "We all should be heading of to bed. We got my parents and your mother coming tomorrow."
Cody nodded. "Okay." He quickly hugged Lucy. "I love you, Lucy."
Lucy hugged him back. "Love you too, Daddy. I also love you, Mom."
Bailey smiled. "Love ya too. Now go and get ready for bed."
Lucy let go of her father as she headed towards her room.
"Hey!" Michael exclaimed when he saw his sister.
Lucy slightly smiled. "Hey."
Michael stepped out of his room. "So... How was your date?"
Lucy shrugged. "Oh, you know. He picked me up, we ate at a nice restaurant, and he rode the elevator up with me."
"Did he kiss you?" Michael asked, crossing his arms.
Lucy gave her brother a weird look. "Nooo. He never did once try to kiss me."
He nodded. "Good. I'll like to meet him."
Lucy silently laughed. "I'm positive you'll get to meet him, I know I'll love to see him again."
Michael nodded. "Just don't let him hurt you."
"I won't. "
"Promise?"
Lucy sighed. "Yes, Mike, I promise you, dad, and mom, I won't allow him to hurt me."
"Good." Mike laughed. "I'm the only one who gets to hurt you, right now, I can't physically hurt you. But I can emotionally hurt you."
Lucy shook her head. "Whatever Mikey. I got to get ready for bed tonight, soooo... Goodnight. "
Mikey nodded his head. "Night Lucy."
December 23rd
Lucy rubbed her eyes. It had be a long night for her, not only did she get a new boyfriend, but she couldn't sleep. She was a little nervous of what Luke would say when he finds out, she also feared that Hunter didn't really want to be with her, I mean, he is too nice, no ones that nice, at least no one she'd meet before Hunter.
He could've lost a bet between his friends, but then again, he seemed too nice of a person to do that.
Maybe he is this nice and actually loves her. Lucy didn't really know what love meant. She's been with Luke for the longest time, he was her only thought of what love actually meant, now she knows he never did love her.
Lucy tried to push the memories of Luke back as she started to get ready for the day.
She got frustrated when none of her jeans seemed to fit her, this pregnancy was okay to her at first, now she's a little irritated. She couldn't do the things she used to love to do, she can't hang out with Stephanie and Ash like she used to. Couldn't go out to parties. Nothing seemed to fit right. Lucy knew this was going to happen, but she never thought it'll be this bad.
Once she found something that fits her, she walked to the kitchen, so far, she hasn't thrown up the food she ate last night, and she was glad for that.
Cody noticed her and smiled. "Morning Luce. How are you feeling? "
Lucy groaned. "Tired. I couldn't sleep last night. "
"Why?" Tommy asked from his seat.
Lucy shook her head. "I don't know."
Bailey bit her lower lip. "Does this have to do with that Hunter boy?" She quietly asked.
Lucy shrugged her shoulders.
Cody sighed. He looked at his oldest daughter. "Are you hungry at all?"
She shrugged again. "I'm not sure."
Michael eyed his twin sister. She seemed so happy last night. Maybe Hunter did something to her? No, if he did, she would've said something. "Was it Luke?" He asked her.
Lucy shook her head again.
Annabelle looked at her older sister. "Why are you sad, Lucy?"
Lucy gave her a small smile. "I'm not sad, Anna. I'm just... Tired, that's all."
"Go back to sleep." Bradley told her.
"But. I can't sleep."
"Why can't you?" Avril asked.
Lucy shrugged.
Bailey got up. "Come with me, Luce."
Lucy got up and followed her mother to her room.
Bailey shut the door after her daughter and sat on Lucy's bed. "Tell me. What's wrong? And don't tell me you don't know or shrug, I know you're upset with someone or something. "
Lucy sighed as she joined her mother on the bed. "I. I... Don't want to keep the babies anymore."
Bailey looked confused.
"I want to but them up for adoption. "
"Are you sure? I mean, Lucy, adoption is a big and long process. And usually once they're adopted, you may not see them. Is adoption want you really want?"
"Yes... No..." Lucy groaned, she was feeling stressed. She started to cry. "I don't know! Part of me is saying they'll be better off without me, but the other half says that I should keep them. I knew this whole pregnancy thing would be hard, but I never thought it'll be this hard! And Luke seems to not give a fuck about me or them, or anyone but himself and that fucking bitch he's dating! I don't even feel like Hunter loves me like he says he does! I mean, he's too damn nice! No ones that fucking nice, unless they want something from you! This is not fucking fair, Mom! It's not fair! Luke can still go out with his fucking friends, go to damn parties, and move on like none of this ever happened! Like I don't fucking exists! I want my fucking life back!"
Bailey was a little taken aback by her eldest daughter's choice of words, but she knew exactly how she felt. She hugged her daughter. She felt herself starting to cry. "Oh, Lucy. I'm soooo sorry, baby. If I could take what you're going through back, you know I would. Luke's going to realize that what he did to you, the breaking up part, was wrong, he had absolutely no reason to do that to you. And if you really feel that way with Hunter, maybe you should let him know you're not ready to start a relationship. "
Lucy buried her face into her mother's shoulder. "But, I like him a lot, and it seems he means well..." Lucy paused to catch her breath. "I. I mean, he, he never tried to kiss me."
Bailey rubbed Lucy's back. "He may act like that now, Lucy. People can change in a second."
"Did you feel guilty when you left daddy after finding out about me and Michael? "
Bailey sighed, she hated to bring up her past mistakes. "Yes. I did. I didn't leave anything for him to know what was going on, or that I was pregnant. I thought he would've been better off without me. Without you guys. But I was wrong. .. I didn't know he'll be that upset was he was... I didn't think everyone would assume that I died. The worst thought I had, is, that I thought he'll hate me, hate you guys. I knew he loved me, but... I still left." Bailey hugged Lucy tighter as she cried. "I ruined everything. I ruined everyone's lives. I ruined your life. If I would've just told your father, you wouldn't be pregnant... You wouldn't be miserable. This is all my fault. I'm so fucking stupid! Why did I ever thought leaving everything and everyone I knew and cared about was for the best? I wish I could take it all back, give you, your brothers and sisters, your father and better life."
Lucy shook her head. "You did nothing wrong, Mom. You were scared, you made a fast decision, one you thought was for the best. You gave me, dad, Mike, Tommy, Anna, Brad, Avril, everyone, a good life. You're not stupid, you're intelligent, more than I'll ever be. It's my fault I'm pregnant. I made the decision to have sex with Luke. I knew better, but I still did it. You didn't do anything to make me sleep with him. I did."
"But-"
Lucy cut her off. "Nothing, Mom. You did nothing wrong. "
Bailey sniffed, she hugged Lucy a little tighter. "I love you, so damn much, Lucy."
Lucy squeezed her mother. "I love you too, Mommy."
I'm not done with December 23rd yet. But to me, it already feels like I wrote a lot. I wanted a nice heart to heart between Lucy and Bailey, I loved writing it, I did tear up a little too. Lucy's going to keep her babies, and Hunter does have feelings towards Lucy.
Also, I'm going to try and update all my stories, I don't know when certain ones will be updated, I just came up with another chapter for this one, so that's why it was first. Next one will either be "Recovery Ranch" or "Land of Ghosts and Secrets".
And, my first full year of having this account is coming up on the 16th!
I plan on writing a special story to celebrate it, would you guys like that?
Oh, and my winter (I call it Christmas) break is going to start on the 19th and end on the 2nd so I should have enough time to write a good amount of chapters.
Oh, one last thing. My laptop decided to stop working on me again. So, I'm using my phone, luckily it's better than my old phone, and I get a new laptop for Christmas.
Happy Holidays! And if it's your birthday today or tomorrow, happy birthday!
