Busy in the kitchen, Henrietta paused at the knock on her door. She was only a bit surprised to see the Grimm when she opened it.
"Yes?" She asked, frowning.
Nick handed her the container of silver blood; Henrietta blanched before taking the vial and letting him in.
"What is this?"
"Adalind is human again," Nick gritted, tensing. "That is a mix of our bloods."
Henrietta's frown deepened. "What did you do?" There was no surprise at the dread in her voice.
Nick's grin made her nervous. "I forced my blood down her throat and made her human. I then mixed the remainder with hers. This," he said, indicating the container, "is the result."
"How did you know to make a zaubertrank?"
Nick shrugged. "I didn't."
Henrietta gaped at him in shock.
"Will Adalind be able to regain her powers?"
She gave a stilted shake of her head. "No, but it hinges on Juliette; give her this to drink and it should kill her Hexenbiest, and Adalind's. Permanently."
Nick nodded and took the vial. He didn't look back as he left the house.
Juliette couldn't help fretting a bit; she was nervous because she didn't know when Nick would come back or what kind of mood he'd be in. And she was afraid to see the revulsion he would undoubtedly show her.
When he finally did return, she jumped up nervously from her seat in the living room, watching him warily.
He came right up to her and the closer he got, the easier it was for her to see the Grimm. Juliette had to force herself not to take a step back, or run screaming from the house.
Nick stopped a few feet away. "Answer me one question," he said, his eyes black. "Do you want to be a Hexenbiest?"
Juliette searched her heart. Being Wesen allowed her to defend herself better and to see those who were dangerous, but she didn't want to be a Hexenbiest per se. She fervently wished she'd become something else, like a Fuchsbau. Their Wesen form was much nicer looking.
"I don't mind being Wesen," she said. "But I wish I wasn't a Hexenbiest."
Nick handed her the vial. "Drink this and you won't be."
Juliette couldn't hide her confusion. "What is this?"
"Just drink it."
There was no room for discussion.
Hating the thought of what it could taste like, Juliette undid the cap, pinched her nose and threw back the silver blood like it was nothing more than a shot of whiskey.
The vial dropped to the floor and shattered as she gagged, then screamed as she became human again.
Nick watched Juliette's Hexenbiest spirit dissolve into nothingness and couldn't help but smile. "You're you again," he said, watching her closely to gauge her reaction.
As expected, she was not happy. "Did you have to be sneaky about it?"
"Yes I did. You would have suspected otherwise."
"Well thanks for getting rid of it. "I'm back to being like Hank now."
"Yes you are," Nick agreed before taking her hand and leading her upstairs to bed.
As they settled in, Nick swore to himself that if Adalind ever had the guts to show up again as a Hexenbiest, he would make good on his dēcapitāre promise. For now, however, she was Wesen dead and everything was right with both his worlds.
