Beep Beep Beep Beep

I woke up to some annoying sound. My head was pounding and my shoulder and right leg hurt. Badly. The pain was intensifying. I didn't know where I was, or what was happening.

My vision was blurry, but then I blinked a few times until my vision cleared. The first thing I saw was white, a white room. I figured out the beeping noise was a heart monitor and an IV was in my left arm. I was in the hospital. What happened to me?

I saw a boy that looked around my age. He had black-rimmed glasses, high cheekbones, and light brown hair. He is medium built and his skin was fair. Once he saw me move, he called someone and said, "Doc, she's awake...Ok...sure thing...ok, bye."

The guy went up to me and introduced himself.

"Dakota Lee. You can call me Kota though, " He said.

I also introduced myself.

"I'm Sang Sorenson."

"As in I sang a song?"

Oh no! He's going to think I'm weird. He must have noticed my shyness about it so he said," I think it's a cool name. Anyways, the Doctor (Hehe. Doctor who moment) told me to give you your meds and said he will be coming soon."

Kota got a glass of water and some medicine to give to me and then helped me sit up, carefully watching where he was putting his hands; not wanting to touch my injured shoulder.

"How long have I been out," I question.

"2 days."

My eyes were as wide as saucers. That long? I'm going to be in BIG trouble with my mother. I have a bad feeling it will be worse than just kneeling.

Just then, a guy that just had to be at least 4 years older than me walked in.

"Hello, I am Dr. Green and I see you are awake sleeping beauty," the man with the lab coat said.

"I am just going to check your vitals and you're going to tell me what happened okay?"

I nodded, not wanting to speak to these unknown people knowing about what happened. I just want to be in the comfort of my soft, green bed with my fluffy pillows.

I quickly drink my medicine and drank all the water, draining it until there was no more water left. Kota noticed I wanted more, so he took the cup from my shaking hand and went to go fill it up with the dispenser at the right of the room.

I could see his biceps flexing as he lifted the cup up. If Marie, my older (quite annoying) sister saw him, she would think of him as a nerd. No questions asked.

I am a very observant person, so I wouldn't just see someone with glasses and assume that they are a nerd. That would just be judging to quickly. I could see how he walked and stood that he would be the one to give orders and be the leader. Like a born leader. But with Dr. Green, he would usually be a flirt, cracking jokes every now and then. I could tell that Dr. Green and Kota are close. By the way they don't act like strangers to each other, and the way they communicate with their eyes. They don't think I'm watching, but I am, very closely.

Kota came over to me with a glass full of water.

"Thank you," I said with appreciation. He did a slight nod for saying 'you're welcome' and smiled.

I gulped down half of it, then gave it back to him, not wanting it anymore.

Dr. Green was checking my vitals after that. Whilst him doing that, I explained what happened before I blacked out.

"I was waking home from the woods, near the school. For the whole time, I felt like I was being watched. I got paranoid and started running. Then footsteps followed behind. I remember passing by a shop, and saw is reflection. I didn't see much . He was just wearing all black. I couldn't see his face at all." The images flashed through me from that day. I felt myself shaking. Then, I told him the tragic part about the alley and the shooting.

"Then I woke up and found myself here," I croaked out, tears already going down my tear stained face. Dr. Green and Kota had faces that could kill, but then changed to sympathy. Dr. Green took my hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.

We had our moment, then it was interrupted.

"Doc, we have a huge problem and I need you to check Nathan from the missi-," a guy started to say after barging in the door. His face full of worry and concern.

There's that. I hope you guys liked it.
