Author's POV
"I'm sorr-ry." Anne whimpers.
Spencer shakes his head. "You don't have to do this. There's another way." He says calmly.
Anne shakes her head harder. "I don't want to kill y-" She begins.
Spencer cuts her off. "Then don't do it. I still love you." He says, looking into Anne's eyes.
"You do?" She asks, looking at Spencer with puppy dog eyes.
Spencer nods. "Mhmm. Now put the gun down and we can talk about it." He whispers kindly.
Anne shakes her head again. "I love you too. And believe me, the part of me that needs to kill is dead, I haven't even enjoyed killing lately. All I can think about is how much I love you, but I can't put the gun down... Your team might come." She replies, steadying her hands, and then she takes a deep breath.
Spencer blinks. "Would you kill them?" He asks tentatively.
"If it was the only way to save our love."
Spencer's POV
"FBI!" A voice I recognize as Morgan's shouts.
I panic. "Anne, put down the gun!" I demand. She shakes her head, and her hands start shaking.
I hear the door break down. "Put it down!" I hiss at her, and she shakes her head again. Footsteps.
I slowly approach Anne to disarm her without alarming her, but in a flash the door swings open, and it's like I can see in slow motion. Anne screams, Morgan aims, I tell him not to, try to lunge from him... Bang.
Everything's in real time again. I look at the bed and scream at the sight of Anne, and after the shock subsides I begin to weep. Morgan wraps his arms around me, and I crumble into him, looking over his shoulder.
Anne's dead, Morgan shot her in the head. She's dead.
A/N: Opinions? Did Anne deserve this? Did Spencer? ^~^ I'll post the next chapter this weekend if I get reviews, if not, it'll probably be up next weekend.
