Ch. 26

"Lily, dear, please feel free to stop by the manor any time especially when you both come home for Easter and summer holidays," Astoria hugged Lily tightly, not afraid to show the young girl how much she enjoyed her company. Astoria was proud of her son. He had himself a wonderfully nice young lady. Astoria was all too familiar with the fear and dread that came with meeting the Malfoy family. When Lily had arrived early in the evening, Astoria began to feel the all too familiar surge of panic and guilt rising from the pit of her stomach. Her first meeting with the entire Malfoy family had not gone perfectly either since her family did not take a clear stance during the war. But Astoria pushed all those thoughts and feelings back down and smiled warmly towards Lily. "You and I will also need to get together and have a girl's lunch. Of course, invite your mother along too. Goodbye, Lily, and wish your family a Happy Christmas for us." Astoria released Lily and Draco made his good-byes, as well.

"Lily, I'm so glad you and I could have a…chat," Draco emphasized the word chat making Lily smile.

Lily leaned in to whisper, "Your secret is safe with me, sir." Draco laughed at the young girl's formality. Lily had no idea that Scorpius' father would make her feel most welcome on a night like tonight. She was certain he was going to dislike her, but instead Draco made Lily feel like she was really a part of something. Before Scorpius had brought her to his home for Christmas, she was worried they wouldn't like her and at dinner it was confirmed through Lucius Malfoy's actions. But Draco, it was Draco, who had taken the time to find her outside in the cold and comforted her. "Thank you both for dinner, even if some of the company clearly didn't like me. But I love your son and no matter what either of our families may think about a Malfoy and Potter dating, it will not stop me from continuing to love your son. Scorpius, I think it's time you brought me home." Lily turned from Scorpius and then back again to his parents, "Thank you, once again, for dinner tonight." Then Lily grabbed some Floo powder and shouted out to her home. As Scorpius went to grab some powder himself, he was stopped by his father.

"Scorpius, your mother and I enjoyed having Lily over tonight. Make sure she knows that," Scorpius nodded, and his father added one more thought, "See that you don't screw this up?!" And Draco smirked.

"I don't plan to, Father," and Scorpius followed his girlfriend through the fireplace.

"What took you so long, Scor?" Lily asked as her boyfriend finally fell out of her fireplace. Lily took his arm to help him up. Scorpius took little time to capture Lily into his arms, he lightly brushed a strand of her hair out of her face.

"My father wanted to make sure that I conveyed to you how much they enjoyed having you over for dinner. I suspect my father is still embarrassed by his father's actions." Lily nodded, staying quiet. Scorpius could feel that something was bothering Lily, but he was quite certain they were over the events that transpired between Lily and Lucius. "Flower, what's wrong?"

Lily looked around her living room, taking in the quiet, "We have a family room in the Potter household all to ourselves and you haven't kissed me yet!" Lily did her best Weasley female impression, meaning she had a look on her face that represented both guilt and sexiness.

Scorpius threw his head back with laughter and pulled Lily into his body harder, causing Lily to release a giggle, "Did you just giggle, Lily?" Lily violently shook her head no. Scorpius slowly trailed his fingers up the side of her body, tickling Lily ever so softly. "I'm pretty sure what I heard was a giggle escaping this mouth." Scorpius' fingers had made it to Lily's mouth, followed instantaneously by his mouth and another giggle slipped from Lily as she felt Scorpius smirk against her lips. That drove Lily crazy and she never wanted to be separated from his mouth ever. Lily knew she could live in this moment forever, not moving just kissing Scorpius while he held onto her as if he were to let her go they would drift a part through space never to collide with the other again.

Scorpius was alway turned on when he was around Lily, but when they kissed the electricity was amplified. Scorpius didn't get to explore that feeling more as a gruff cough interrupted their snogging session. "You better get your slimy paws off my sister right now!" Lily turned to find James standing in the threshold of the room. She removed herself from Scorpius' grip and launched her body at James.

"Jamie, you're home!" Lily exclaimed as James swiftly put his hand over her mouth, knowing her scream probably woke the neighborhood.

James hugged his sister. James was always at Quidditch practice, considering the Canons needed as much practice as possible, and with Lily at Hogwarts the two siblings very rarely saw each other in the past few months. "Lils, quiet. I don't want to wake up Mum just yet. I snuck in after they all fell asleep so I could surprise everyone in the morning at breakfast. But it seems my little sister has been out too late with this git, Malfoy." James shot a cocky smile towards Scorpius.

Scorpius was standing behind Lily and offered his hand to James, "It's ever so good to see you too, Mate!" Scorpius laughed and rolled his eyes. Then James yanked hard on Scorpius' hand and pulled him in for a manly, bro hug.

"Even if I don't hate the bloke my baby sister is dating, that doesn't mean I can't put on the appearance of giving you the third degree," James was happy to be home. "Now, why are you two just coming home?"

Scorpius took Lily's hand into his own, "We had our very first Malfoy family Christmas dinner." Now that Scorpius was away from his grandfather, he could beam brightly with an intense emotion as he was proud to show Lily off. He saw James raise his eyebrow, "It went about as well as you would expect."

"You seem to be in one piece, Lils, despite going into the main snake pit," James laughed as his own joke, although it didn't seem to impress the room's other occupants, "Fine. Don't laugh. Lily saw goodbye to Scorpius, it's time for bed."

Lily was confused. "Thanks for the reminder, James, but if you could leave Scorpius and I alone, I'll be right up."

James shook his head, "No can do, sweet, innocent, little sister of mine, you did enough kissing from what I saw. It's time for bed. Goodnight, Scorpius." James pulled on Lily's arm as he forced her from the room.

"You've got to be kidding me, Jamie." Lily showing only a hint a desperation in her voice.

"Sorry, Lils, better take what you can get right now." As Lily was drug from the room she ended up giving Scorpius a awkward high-five since her free hand was the only part of her that could reach out and touch him. Scorpius laughed as he saw the look of utter embarrassment in Lily's eyes. After a pitiful and outrageous night with his family, Scorpius wasn't going to push any issues with the Potters. Now he just had to make it through the Weasley Christmas tomorrow.

Lily was playing with her little cousin Emily as her entire family carried on busy conversations or were cooking the rather large feast needed to sustain the whole bunch. Emily is the daughter of Lily's Uncle Dudley and his husband Uncle Nick. Harry and Dudley reconnected after the war was over and Harry was able to heal. Their relationship became stronger after a falling out between Dudley and his parents after Dudley came out to them and introduced his boyfriend Nick. Harry and Ginny supported Dudley through the transition, but Vernon still refused to talk to his son. However, Petunia always had a soft spot for her only son and spent the secret afternoon having lunch when she was able to get away.

Lily and Emily were interrupted from their game by Ginny, "Lily, honey, you have a visitor."

"Mum, he's my best mate so I don't understand why I wasn't told Scorpius was here?" Albus had food in his mouth as usual and wasted no time showing his poor manners to his mother.

"Albus Severus Potter, if you don't learn how to chew and not talk at the same time I will hex you into next week!" Ginny rolled her eyes at her middle child. She had no idea how Albus planned on finding a woman to put up with him for the rest of her life. Ginny only did it because as his mother, well, she had to. "Lily, dear, go save Scorpius from the assault I'm sure my brothers have started to give him."

Lily hurried into the next room, laughing almost immediately at the sight in the kitchen. Scorpius was backed up into the couch as her uncles Bill, Charlie, George and Ron as well as Teddy and her father loomed over her quite frightened looking boyfriend. They were firing questions at Scorpius and he couldn't find any time to answer any one of them since they continued to talk over each other. Scorpius saw Lily entered the room and shot her a look filled with desperation and fear. She smiled and saved Scorpius with a simple cough. All men not named Scorpius turned to look at who was making the noise. "Could you all leave my boyfriend alone, please? He just arrived."

Ron spoke up first, trying to look smug, "Lily, we had to question Malfoy of his intentions with our young niece."

"Uncle Ron, he has a name and it is Scorpius. You could do well to use it before I ask my mum to hex you." Lily puffed her chest out, not backing down from any of her uncles.

"You wouldn't dare tell your mum on me," Ron said indignantly, appalled that anyone should imply that he was frightened by his younger sister.

"She might not have to ask me, Ron, I could just send you a Bat Bogey Hex right now?" Ginny was standing in the doorway, having heard the entire conversation.

"Ginny," Ron gulped.

"Leave poor Scorpius alone. Everyone out of this room, well, except you, Lily and Scorpius." Ginny ushered the Weasley, Potter and Lupin men from the room and winked at Lily.

Lily swept across the room, lifting Scorpius from the couch that had become his invisible shackles. "Remind me to find your mum a absolutely special gift for saving me from that interrogation." Scorpius leaned down and softly pecked Lily on the lips bringing a soft and radiant smile to Lily's face. "I'm so very glad to have been save by two Weasley/Potter women." Scorpius growled and squeezed Lily's tush. Lily yelped a giggle and ran to the opposite corner of the room.

"SCORPIUS, we are at my grandparents' home. You can't touch me like that and talk about my mother that way...ever," Scorpius' eyebrow rose and Lily added, "While we're in this house and never talk about my mum that way," Scorpius was smug and Lily found that incredible since just moments ago he looked incredibly small and scared. She also found his attitude sexy. "Are you ready to face the masses?"

Scorpius crossed the room to gather Lily in his arms. "Can't we just stay here or go anywhere else that doesn't have any fathers, uncles or brothers trying to annihilate me?"

"Scorpius, you've come to my grandparents house plenty of times before, what makes this different?" Lily glided her fingers up and down her boyfriend's arms.

"This time is just different." Scorpius hung his head, not wanting to admit the real reason he was nervous.

Lily loved seeing this side of Scorpius Malfoy. He always put on this air of superiority around others, but when they were alone he felt safe enough to share his vulnerability and fears. Lily lifted his head so their eyes met. "Tell me, please?"

"This is the first Christmas with your family that I'm more than just Albus' friend. I'm now known as the bloke trying to steal away Harry Potter's little girl."

"No, you are much more than that. Scorpius, I love you and just because you and I are involved now doesn't mean my family will not love you just the same as before. If you could hear the way my mum and grandmum talk about you, you'd think you could actually walk on water." Lily reached up on her tip toes to capture his lips. "I will repeat, are you ready to face the masses?"

"I'm ready to follow you anywhere you want to go!" Lily rung her hands around Scorpius' neck in a violently passionate hug. Then they walked from the room hand in hand ready to face the wild bunch known as the Weasley family!

A/N: I just freakin' love these two! I just usually want to write all romantic, gushy stuff for them before getting into heavier drama. Plus it's Christmastime and romanticism should be everywhere! Merry Christmas!
