A/N: So sorry for the late update, but Happy New Year! I'm a terrible writer as I can't seem to keep updates regular, but I had a bit of a problem when it came to this chapter. Let me know what you think! Thanks for all of your reviews/favorites/follows.

I also got a bit sidetracked by Arrow, both on TV and on fanfiction, but you can't blame me when it comes to Oliver Queen.

Happy Reading!

"Wow, Lils, two Malfoy parties in the span of a week! Oh no! You're becoming one of them!" Alice shrieked as she fell back onto Lily's bed in dramatic fashion thrashing around in laughter as Lily fell back onto her bed too. She was dressed in her robe and after the debacle that happened when she was trying to get ready for the Malfoy Family Christmas Lily had invited Alice to help her get ready. As an added bonus, Albus was invited and he, naturally, asked Alice to be his date.

Lily smacked Alice with her pillow, "Well, you're coming with me into the snake's den." Lily sat up, looking seriously at her best friend, "I'm actually excited and grateful that you'll be here considering the last time I was at the manor, it didn't go so well." Alice was sitting up by then when Lily grabbed onto both of her shoulders, making sure Alice was looking straight at her, "Please make sure this time, if Lucius gross Malfoy, says something awful to me that I don't run off crying somewhere." Lily knew too many important people would be present at the Malfoy New Year's Eve party and she would not look like some little girl unworthy of Scorpius. She was going to show these pureblood families how amazing she could be. Lily also figured her flaming hair would attract quite the attention at the party.

"Should we have some sort of signal so I can save you? Or do you want to work something out with Scorpius?" Alice was ready to take her job as best friend seriously while trying to find a quiet corner of the Malfoy home where she could get lost with Al somewhere. Lily snapped in her friend's face, realizing she might be present in her room, but her thoughts were elsewhere. And Lily knew exactly where Alice's mind was.

"Aw, Allie, I'm so excited you are happy, but ew, it's my brother. And that's all I'm going to say about that," Now it was Alice's turn to smack her friend. Despite having spent most of their time recently with their two boyfriends, Lily loved having this girl time with Alice and vowed as one of her resolutions would be to hang out will Alice more often this year, even if that meant bringing the boys along, too.

"So, should we have a sign or some sort of code?" Alice winked dramatically, trying to give Lily a hint, but it only lead to more laughter.

"Ha, Allie, we probably shouldn't use that wink you just did. How about we just go with this, if Lucius Malfoy comes up to me, save me no matter what. And if it's some other person, I'll either wipe my finger down the side of my nose. That is the immediate sign that you should come save me." At no point in time did Lily want to be alone in person or conversation with the eldest Malfoy. She would have to make a not so subtle remark to Scorpius just to ensure a contigency plans were in place for the evening.

Alice looked at Lily, a michevious grin slowly spreading, "Ok, I think I've got it, Lils, if you pick your nose I should come and save you, right?!"

Lily rolled her eyes and smacked Alice with the pillow again. "Let's get ready."

Lily fell through the Malfoy fireplace with the least amount of grace possible. She didn't have much time to recover as Alice ran right into her back as she also came through the fireplace. The two girls fell to the ground together in a fit of laughter, not at all paying any attention to people in the room with them. Their giggles were infectious as unbeknowst to the girls, smiles had spread across the faces of Scorpius, Astoria and Draco.

The girls were finally brought back to the present with Al's arrival. Lily whispered once she took stock of who was in the room, "Allie, get up. Scorpius' parents are in here with us. Oh, God, I'm so embarrassed." Lily covered her face with her two hands, attempting to hide her red face, then proceeded to rise from the floor searching for her boyfriend's face hoping he could somehow alliviate her current feeling that the floor should just swallow her whole, right there, right now.

Scorpius grabbed Lily by the elbow helping her up off the floor as Albus attempt to help Alice, too. Scorpius was working overtime trying to hold back his laughter, knowing he was laughing at the look on her face. It was moments like these that he loved her completely. These adorably, charming, embarrassing and amazing moments that when her eyes searched for his and she was completely vurnerable, Scorpius absolutely knew he loved her, for everything she was perfect at and the things she wasn't. She was amazing and Scorpius would work every day to show her how amazing she is.

Scorpius leaned in and kissed her cheek, then whispered to her, "Despite what you think, my parents love you so try not to be so embarrassed."

Lily looked at him in shock, not quite sure what powers he possessed to read her mind. Lily looked over at Astoria and saw the warmth radiating from her.

"Lily, sweetheart, we're so glad you could make it to our party," Astoria opened her arms and Scorpius vacated the area to allow his two favorite ladies to embrace. Scorpius beamed with pride, happy that his mother and girlfriend seemed to take to each other well. Astoria turned to Scorpius' other friends, having known Al since he and Scorpius began Hogwarts together. "Albus it's so nice for you to accept the invitation to our party and for bringing your beautiful date." She turned to Alice, "And you must be Alice. Come in, come in. Everyone is just through here into the ballroom." Astoria ushered the group through the hallway.

Scorpius lead Lily with his hand placed on the small of her back. He couldn't wait to show her off in the ballroom and sneak in a midnight kiss or five. As they were still filing into the room, Scorpius leaned down to share another whisper with Lily, "You look stunning, my Lily." She blushed again as she looked up to him, then a smile graced her lips at the charming way he called her his.

As they walked into the main ballroom, Lily's mouth dropped into a perfect O, astonished at the amount of people in the room. She stopped short, just inside the room. "There are about a million people in this gorgeous and enormous room." Lily's mouth fell open again at the brevity of the situation.

That smirk played again on Scorpius' lips and he pulled Lily's hand to them, kissing them softly, like a whisper. "I think a million is quite the exaggeration, but the room is quite large." He hadn't let go of her hand and began to lead them out onto the floor. "Now, I think we should take this wonderful opportunity to dance. Come on, Lils." Lily thought for a small second that she might dig her heals into the ground and fight every moment that Scorpius wanted to twirl her around room. But Lily knew her mother had taught her better, on the few occasions she was dragged to a ministry function, and to refuse a dance from Scorpius would not be ladylike. Instead, Lily painted a smile on her face, not because she did enjoy the chance to be so close to Scorpius, but because she was insanely nervous and she needed to at least attempt to hide and settle her emotions.

Scorpius took charge and he spun Lily around him and settled his free hand at her waist. Lily followed his actions by placing her other hand on Scorpius' shoulder blade and gave him an imperceptible nod of her head, signaling she was ready. Scorpius started their dance, a waltz. Lily found if she just focused on Scorpius, looked him directly in the eye, everything and everyone else fell away along with her nerves, allowing her to follow her boyfriend's steps. They both exchanged bashful smiles, sometimes afraid of how deep their love for each other went.

Lily shivered while they were moving around the dance floor, causing Scorpius to give her a puzzled look. She shook her head, but couldn't quite shake the feeling that somebody was watching them, specifically her. Everyone in the room had stopped to watch the young Master Scorpius dance with the Potter Princess, but that wasn't the feeling she was getting. It felt creepy to Lily, like the stranger's eyes were burning a hole through her. If Lily had control of their dance, she would peer around the room looking for the culprit. Instead she had to settle with a swivel of her head.

She couldn't quite find the stranger, and finally she spotted a small wizard in a red dress robe. The blonde haired man didn't look familiar to Lily, but she knew it was him sending the creepy vibe to her. Once the unfamiliar wizard locked eyes with Lily, they never strayed. Thankfully the song ended and the spell between the stranger and Lily was broken. Scorpius ushered them off the dance floor, feeling something was off with Lily. "Lils, are you okay?"

She smiled at his concern and put her hand against his cheek, "I'm alright. I think I'm just a little light-headed from all of those people watching us. I'm going to go put some water on my face." She leaned up and pressed her lips to his, using her hand to pull his head closer to her. When she pulled away, Scorpius had a dazed expression, "That is so you don't forget me among all of these other people."

Scorpius chuckled, "Never." And Lily walked down the hallway, finding the bathroom.

Lily walked out of the bathroom and the same creepy feeling washed over her. She turned her head and found the unfamiliar wizard was right beside her. She tried to play off the feeling, knowing she wasn't allowed to use her wand, "Excuse me." But the wizard wouldn't let her pass and as she was closer to him, Lily knew she smelled alcohol.

He drawled out quietly, and Lily couldn't quite place his accent, "I've watched you closely tonight. You are a beautiful creature." Lily was definite when the creep meter reached infinity.

"I'm sorry. I don't know you and I didn't catch your name? Do you work with Mr. Malfoy?" Lily hoped by making small talk she could sneak passed him.

The wizard drew in closer to her, "Well, I know you quite well, Miss Potter," drawing out the 'ssss.' Lily backed up, thinking that in the worse case scenario she could hide in the bathroom. "And you could say I know the Malfoys, but I do not know the youngest one well. You two seem to be quite the item." Lily hoped her delay to get back would catch her boyfriend's attention.

"Yes, well, Scorpius is my boyfriend." Lily laughed awkwardly.

The wizard scraped his fingertips up the length of Lily's arm and another shiver ran through her body, "Such a shame, then, a beautiful creature like yourself deserves a real man." Lily jerked her arm away, ready to drive her knee right into the wizard's sensitive parts, but then something caught her eye.

"Have we met before?" But the question was never answered as Lily's knight in shining armor spoke.

"Flower, is that you?" Lily was shocked.

"Daddy?" She ran, finally able to get passed the strange wizard. Lily threw herself into her father's arms, grateful and confused as to his presence in Malfoy Manor. "Daddy, when did you get here? Why are you here?" Then Lily remembered, "Daddy, do you know-" Lily turned, hoping to introduce the wizard to her father, but he was gone. He had vanished.

"What were you saying, Flower?"

"Nothing, Daddy. Again, how did you get here?"

"Well, Draco told me he mentioned to you that we began a friendship, so I'm here, with your mother, as his friend," Harry couldn't believe he just referred to Draco Malfoy as his friend, but it was the truth. "Why were you out here by yourself?"

Lily linked her arm through her father's as they walked back to the main ballroom, "I went to use the restroom and got a bit sidetracked." Lily spotted her boyfriend, talking to her mother. Once he turned to her, they shared a look and Lily knew she would have to explain to him about how their fathers were now friends.

"Flower, how about giving your dear, old dad a turn around the dance floor?" He held his hand out.

"I'd love to, Daddy."
