Here's the next chapter! Sorry it isn't that long, just wanted to put a filler in before things start getting busy for me. Thank you for all the reviews so far, hope you guys enjoy this as well!
"Tadashi is here."
The older members of the team gasped as they stared at Baymax in shock, and then at Hiro in concern.
"Baymax, are you low on battery again?" Hiro froze at his late brother's name, but his main focus was ensuring that Baymax was fully functional to get them home safely. After all, this was not the first time Baymax had insisted on Tadashi's presence, and everyone knew how loopy the robot got when his battery was dying.
"No Hiro, my battery level is 73%. It is more than sufficient for me to function at optimal performance, if you take off my chest armour I can show you my system report. But I assure you Hiro, Tadashi is here." The robot was not programmed to have intonations in his speech, but those words could not have been further stressed if they were spoken by a human.
The next thing Hiro registered was being cradled in Baymax's soft but firm arms, as the rest of the team tried to take off his suit as carefully as they could withouth further stressing the boy. "Wha- what happed?" He managed to raise his head weakly, only to be gently pushed back into a sleeping position by his robot.
"You kinda passed out man, after Baymax insisted that-" Fred started but was stopped by Honey's arm on his shoulder, telling him to take it slow.
"Dashi?"
"Yes Hiro, Tadashi is here. My advanced sensor picked up his signal as I was mass-scanning the patients from the bank."
Hiro slid out of Baymax's grasp and turned to face the robot. "How."
"Tadashi is my creator and the first scan I have ever done. I can never forget, or mix up his signature."
"NO Baymax. How can you pick up his signature. There's something wrong with you." Hiro struggled to force open Baymax's chip access port similar to the day he first discovered the Kabuki masked man was Callaghan."Dammit Bamax open your access."
"The only way I can pick up Tadashi's signature is if Tadashi is... alive." The robot blinked at the team's collective gasps. Their heart rates were dangerously high and Baymax knew he had to help them, but his primary directive right now was to take care of Hiro, who was repeatedly banging his fists on the bot's vinyl stomach wile continuously chanting "No, no, no."
Baymax performed a quick systems check to fully ensure his sensor was not faulty and then realized that the only way they would recover is if they saw Tadashi in real life.
"I know where Tadashi is. Would you like me to take you to him?" The older members of the team blinked again still unable to process the whole situation, but Hiro recovered much faster.
"I swear to God Baymax, if this is your idea of a joke I will personally rip you apart and-"
"I am sorry to cause you so much distress Hiro, but I know what I have detected, and what I have detected is Tadashi, alive. If all of you would wear your suits again, and help me into my armor, I can fly you there in just a few minutes."
The team wordlessly did as they were told, except for Hiro who never broke his glare off Baymax, and squished the robot into its armor a little too harshly than was strictly necessary. "Fine, do us there. But just remember Baymax-"
"This is not a joke Hiro, you know I would never put you through so much hurt and personal loss for no good reason."
"Baym-"
"Please hold on tight, I am sensing that your mental state is not optimal right now."
"You don't fucking say Baymax. Just shut up and get us there." This was the first time in a long time that Hiro had sworn, but then again if this situation didn't warrant swearing, there was very little else that did.
-Around the time the team landed at the bank-
The intense glare of the San Antohama afternoon sun, the high-pitched beeping of hospital machines and the feeling of multiple tubes and needles stuck into your body is never a pleasant way to wake up. Especially not after being in a coma for eight months. With no recollection of what had happened. And all alone in a closed room.
But Tadashi Hamada never really had the best of luck, what with his parents dying when he had just started going to school, his little brother constantly getting them into trouble and even arrested on occasion, and his trusted professor almost killing everyone he loves (though he didn't know that just yet).
"Wha- what's happening? Where... am I? Hiro? Aunt- Aunt Cass?"The normally cool and collected young man was freaking out as he looked around at his surroundings and himself. Tadashi fell back heavily on his pillow and was about to ring for the nurse when the TV hung above his bed switched from its boring daily programming to breaking news.
"Big Hero 6 has arrived, all the way from San Fransokyo, and according to reports, they have already found a way into the bank and are taking out the robbers as we speak."
"All the way from San Fransokyo?" Wait where was he? Tadashi felt himself give in to the cold, paralysing panic once again, but his sharp eyes caught the logo of the news station- Channel 9 San Antohama. "San An? What is Big Hero 6? What the hell is happening?"
Tadashi was about to reach over and call for the nurse again when the TV once more stopped him in his tracks. The stock footage of the Big Hero 6 team.
A tall Latino girl with a long ponytail carrying a little sling bag with various buttons on the outside.
A well-built African American with... were those laser-induced plasma hands?
A ridiculous-looking dragon/lizard mix costume that looked too close to the SFIT mascot for comfort.
A shorter girl with (magnetic?) disks that looked way too familiar.
And- no. There was no way. Absolutely no way at all.
Sure the imposing red figure was decked out in impressive armour, but Tadashi had made it, created it, with his own hands, and there was no way he would mistake that suzu bell face.
And the littlest member of the team, who was standing in front of them all. Most of the boy's hair was hidden by his helmet, but one lock still hung over his face. The face that Tadashi knew far too well. The one he had wiped tears off of when their parents died, the one that would be scrunched in concentration as he tried to make the next fighting bot legend, the one that never failed to look up at Tadashi with awe.
Big Hero 6 was made up by his closest friends? And his healthcare bot (that was supposed to be soft and white and huggable, not decked out in a fancy red armor with wings)? And they were all being led by HIS LITTLE BROTHER?
The Hamada boys were never ones to take shocking news well, and the overwhelming news and realisation of everything was just too great for Tadashi as he collapsed back onto his bed. Little did he know that his brother was doing the exact same thing just a few miles away, but at least he had his personal healthcare companion and friends to support him.
Next Chapter:
" San An General? Baymax what's going on?"
"Tadashi Hamada? I'm sorry dear but we have nobody by that name- hey! Where are you going?"
"I am leading my team to my creator, Tadashi Hamada."
"Da... Dashi?"
"Hiro? Baymax?"
Aaand there's the second chapter! Again, I apologize for it being so short, I'll try and update again ASAP! Please do review and tell me how I did, and thank you so so so much again for all who reviewed/favourited this! I love all of you!
