Chapter Four - Making our way to Le-Koro
After a few days in Ga-Koro learning how to fish, how to make a net, making a fishing pole, collecting supplies, cooking, learning how to swim (which turned out I was already good at), and learning more about this island. Those few day can really be tiring, and yet I felt the urge of doing something else. I don't know what, but I can feel my mind wondering about the other villages, and what they were like in person. Well it seemed that Turaga Nokama seems to notice my learning for something, and patted my back. "If you want to go out on a adventure, then you may go" Turaga Nokama said in here sweet elderly voice, "but I would feel better if you went with Toa Gali before you head out to the other Koro's."
I smiled at Turaga Nokama, then I gave her a hug, and thanked her. I then ran off to my hut with the Turaga smiling at me, and after a few minutes later I came back out with my hand made bag. It has all my hand made clothes, a hook and string for fishing, a water canister, some tools that was fit for adventuring (thanks to the lesson that Gali gave me), and finally a small journal that Turaga Nokama gave me (to recored my event so it will go onto the wall of prophecy in Ta-Koro). As I went a few feet from the hut I stayed in, Gali was already standing next to Turaga Nokama ready to take me to a Koro. "So Rorika" Gali spoke as I came near them, "where would you like to go first?"
I gave her a questionable look, and then I realize I don't know which one I wanted to go to first. So I thought long and hard until I finally decide where I wanted to go first. "I would like to go to Le-Koro" Rorika said, "if that's okay."
"Of course it is" Gali said smiling at me, "I just need to grab some supplies for our journey, before we head out."
Knowing that the journey was going to be long, and most like hard walking. Gali took a while getting the needed food we need, along with some stuff to make fire with, and after grabbing one other thing we both were on our way to Le-Koro. Gali told me that we would be going through Ta-Kini, then we'll be spending the night at Lake Pala, and we would be able to make it to Le-Koro the next morning. "Doesn't Ta-Kini have a lava river" I asked Gali in a rather nervous voice, just the thought of going over lava scared me to death.
"Don't worry Rorika" Gali kindly told me, "I can reassure you that we'll be fine, as long as you stay close to me okay?"
I looked at Gali for a moment, and after a while, my fears were gone in a instantly. "Okay" I said with a nod, and we were now heading down to the lava river, with me on, Gali's back.
Being very careful not to fall down to my death, Gali told be to hold on tight, as she claimed down the cliff. I did my best not to look down, and prayed to Mata-Nui that we would make it down safely. After about twenty to thirty minutes of carefully claiming down the cliff, we finally made it to the bottom safely, and I got off of Gali's back. I then looked at the lava river, and I was amazed by its beauty. "Wow" was the only thing I could say.
I felt a cool hand on my shoulder, and turned to see Gali smiling down at me. "Come along" Gali said, as she gently leads me in one direction.
We must of spent almost half a hour to a hour just to find a place to cross safely, and when we couldn't this only made the matter worse. Just as I thought we were going to head back up the cliff, Gali had placed me behind her, and was in a defensive position. I was going to ask what' s going on, but a familiar voice spoke out before I could say anything. "Easy there Gali, it's only me" said a male voice.
"Tahu" Gali said lowing her defense a little.
Tahu came over to were me and Gali were, and stopped just a few feet from us. "So Gali" Tahu began, "what brings you to my Kini?"
"I'm escorting Rorika to Le-Koro" Gali replayed, "and I was hoping that it would of been quicker to cut through Ta-Kini, since the tunnels of Onu-Koro was being checked for maintenance."
Tahu was quite for what seemed for a eternity, but after a while he head towards the lava river, and took out two great weapon. "I think I might help you across this" Tahu finally said, as he put together the two blades to make what looks like some surf board (wait surf board?), "but it would require Rorika to get on my back to do it."
It seems Gali knows what the Toa of fire was talking about, for she instruct me to get on his back, and to hold on tight. At first I didn't understand why, but I did what I was told, and once when I got on, Tahu's back, I had the feeling that I was going to regret this after words. After a while, Tahu, made sure I was well secure on his back, he flung his board to the lava, started running, then jump into the air, and landed on his board, with me clinging around his neck for dear life. Once when, Tahu, surfed around a bit, he turned around, and motion for, Gali, to get on. Before I know it, all three of us were on the other side of the Lava rive of Ta-Kini. I made a mental note to myself to never do that again, but thanked, Tahu, never the less.
After saying good-bye to the Toa of Fire, me and Gali started heading towards Lake Pala. About three hours later, night fell as, Gali, made the camp fire, then she started cooking the meals, and soon after that we had started eating. Gali, then talked to me about Le-Koro, and how I should be very careful around the village, since it was way up high. She also mention that the Turaga of Le-Koro was very well known for his singing, and his harmless pranks. The more I hear of the village, the more I want to get there. Soon after we the food was done cooking, Gali, started to serve the food, and we both ate in silent. After when we were done eating, I helped Gali clean up the cook wear, soon after that we both found a nice comfortable spot to lay down, and fell a sleep within minutes.
"Are you sure you want to go alone?" asked a older women's voice.
"…."
"You know you can always bring someone with you."
"….."
"I know …. your old enough to go were you want, but just remember I'll al…"
(Scene change with a great wise Owl)
"Rise spirit warrior, and fallow the path that was given to you… but make hast before the dark one will destroy you!"
The scene changes with darkness coming out of no where, and out from the darkness was a being with red blood shot eyes. It was rising its staff above its head, and a second later everything went blank.
The next day
I woke up a little hasty from the resent dream I just had, and wondered were I was. 'That's right' I said to myself, 'I was going to Le-Koro with Gali.'
I looked around from where I was sleeping, I then notice that Gali was already up, and was putting out the fire. I took a deep sigh of relief knowing that Gali was still by my side, and wouldn't leave me till we got to our destination. So I got up from the spot I was sleeping on, and went over to the fire pit were Gali was. But it seemed that she was done with the fire pit, then she got up to turn towards me (probably wanting to wake me up), and notice that I was already up. "Well good morning Rorika" Gali said with a smile.
"Good morning Gali" I replayed with a smile back.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Sorta" I replayed remembering the dream I had just had.
"Care to explain?"
I told Gali about the dream I had just had with some strange voices, a strange rahi like creature, and a dark figure coming out of darkness. When I was done explaining I notice that Gali had this shock of fear, then with out hesitation she grabbed my hand, and all she said was, "we got to get you to Le-Koro, so that Turaga Matua, can explain to you what your dream was about."
I didn't protest to what she said, and just fallowed the Toa of water to the village of air. I actually wanted to know what had Gali worried, and wondered why she couldn't tell me what my dream was about. But I didn't say anything, and stayed quite till we got to Le-Koro.
Gali's point of view
What Rorika had told me was no dream, but a message from a being only the Turaga's would know, and would only be best if the Turaga explained what her dream was about. But as for the being coming out of the darkness was one I and the other Toa know far too much, and wished that it would never happened to our new friend. 'Please Mata-Nui, don't let him get to her before she starts her destiny' I silently prayed.
As the hours went by, we were getting a lot closer to Le-Koro, and soon everything would be explained in due time. I just hope nothing bad would happen to her in Le-Koro, but knowing Turaga Matua, he would no doubt try to pull a prank on Rorika when he guard is down. Just as we got close to the village, out of no where a being appeared in front of us, and…
Cliff hanger, hanging from a cliff!
And that's why they call him Cliff hanger XD
What is going happen next? Who is that figure that just appeared out of nowhere? What is up with the dream that Rorika just had? and how long will it take the Author to write the next chapter of this story? Stay tune for Finding Lost Memories!
