Chapter 2 :

Agravaine was walking throught the courtyard when he saw the one person in this whole kingdom who irritated him as much as that spoiled narcissistic 'prat' who plays at beeing king .

He didn't know how a skinny , gangly, clumsy servant could be such a pain in the ass , but his queen -and the only person he would truly ever bow to- had warned him about merlin , she said that they should not underestimate him , apparently he was the one who stoped most of her plans to take over the throne 'wich I still can't believe , how could merlin , the low-life servant who face-planted on the courtyard ground while getting off a horse , become such a threat to morgana's plans ? I will never know , or will I ? '

Agravaine noticed that merlin was walking out of the castle toward the forest , wich is weird knowing that they just came back from a four days quest god knows where , which is still bugging him because he realised even though he was Arthur's uncle , it didn't mean that he would know his every whereabouts , 'now where could he possibly be going , certaintly not herb picking since gaius is out of camelot visiting merlin's mother , and he won't be back for another fortnight , what is he up to , I should follow him … yes … I will '

Merlin was exhausted , no he was drained , after four days of serving 'his pratliness' and his band of aggravating knights (wich whom, of course, he loved so dearly ) he was barely keeping his eyes open . it had been brought to Arthur's attention by a visiting lord , that there was a legend about an ancient artifact , that was powerful enough to destroy camelot and all it's people if it landed in the hands of the wrong person 'of course, because what else could a crazy three centuries old sorcerer have created other than a weapon which could raze an entire kingdom in less than a day , and because the fates love me so much , the only one who could stop it is … surprise , surprise … me '

Not only has he saved camelot from a certain destruction seeing that they met morgana's men who where looking for the artifact , but he also had to save Arthur , Leon ,Gawaine , Percival and Elyan from bandits and from a really pissed off boar , only to be teased , insulted , and treated like dirt but merlin knew that they didn't mean any of what they said or did, at least he hoped so .

Now he was going to talk to kilgharah so that he can report back ,seeing that he had called the dragon before they went on the quest to have more information about the object and to see if the great dragon knew of a way to destroy it or at least disable it's magic , and now that he was back from the perilous journey , he had to go and see him to tell him of their success , and if he was honest with himself he missed the dragon , they both went through a lot together and they saw their bond flourish between them , changing from one of a dragon and his dragonlord to a bond of siblings .

After almost half an hour of walking through the forest he came to a stop in a clearing big enough for kilgharah to land in , he reached his magic and let the flow of it course through every part of himself as he began to call for the dragon in a deep voice who some people would find almost inhuman " O drakon, e mala soi ftengometh tesd'hup anankes! Erkheo " , after a few minute of silence , a gush of wind pulled the sorcerer from his thought as he moved back so he can give kilgharah enough space to land

" Merlin , where in the name of the old relegion have you been , I've been trying to contact you for days now , I was worried sick about you " shouted the dragon in a very deep voice that shook merlin to his very core

" Sorry buddy , I couldn't answer you in fear of getting caught , I mean I was with the knights and arthur all days and nights I couldn't just wander off in the middle of a conversation to answer you , i get that sometimes I can be a little bit stupid , but I am not that stupid , anyway I can't stay to chat , althought you know I would love to stay and talk with you in riddles but Arthur is going to get suspicious , he already thinks that I spend a lot of time in the tavern -thanks to Gaius- I just came here to tell you that I was able to disable the magical artifact , and thank you for the tip "

Kilgharah sighed and said " no need to apologize , even if this shocks you , I don't want to see you dead , the world would be an empty place without you "

" believe me , I don't want to die either , well I have to run I'll see you next time brother " said merlin in cheerful voice as he went to nuzzle the dragon's head

" so long brother , may the gods be with you "

They were so wrapped up in their goodbyes they didn't see a shadow retreating in the forest.

Saying that Agravain was shoked would be the understatement of the century , frail looking , mumbling Merlin had magic , and not only that but apparently he was a dragonlord ,with all the questions he had and the buzzing of his brain he didn't even notice where he was heading, that until morgana's hut came into view , without even knocking he burst throught the door almost breaking it .

" What is the meaning of this , how dare you barge in like you own this place , I could have killed you , maybe I should seeing that you no longer do me any good " screamed morgana .

" Apologies my Lady , but there is something of great importance , something that can change the tieds to your favor " said Agravaine even though he was practically out of breath

" Well out with it " blurted morgana after almost a minute of silence , seeing that Agravaine was catching his breath

" Ah sorry , I ran as quickly as I can … merlin … he … he has magic " came his answer between breaths

Morgana bursted out laughing " is this some kind of joke , merlin having magic , please , I can believe one of the knights having magic or even arthur himself, but merlin ?"

" I am serious Morgana I just saw him summoning a dragon , and while he was waiting for it he playing with somekind of ball of light , I got to say it was pretty impressive , think about it , how is it that he is always a step ahead of you , how can he stop your plans without magic he is a nobody a mear servant among others , maybe he was the one who protected arthur and the knights for all these years "

Agravain was used to Morgana's foul mood , but he was not ready for the pure hatred that filled her beautiful pale face as she began to asses what she's been told , and after a few moment he saw her eyes widen in very comical way as if all the missing peaces slipped into place .

" That pesty liar , he lied to my face for years , he didn't even help me when he knew I needed help controling my magic , he let me think that I was alone and then tried to kill me by poisening me , god I hate him ,and I swear in the name of the triple goddess that I will destroy everything he holds dear " screeched Morgana

Morgana was beyond angry , he could see that anger morph into pure hatred and determination and then to a terrifying smirk that send chills down his spine .

" I guess you have a plan my lady ? " said agravaine , and he was proud that his voice didn't falter , because he was terrified .

" Yes , and I will need your help Agravaine for it to succeed , if this goes as I hope it would not only would merlin be destroyed but Camelot would loose it's protector and thus become vulnerable " .
