AN: again it's short I know….I'm trying guys. 😓 But pls review and let me know what y'all think!
"Ryan," was all I could manage to breathe out. It felt like all the air had been sucked out of my lungs.
"Leave us," Ryan snapped at the guy sitting in front of me. The guy stood up and before walking out the door stopped to give Ryan some meaningful look; but Ryans' eyes never left mine. The second the door clicked shut behind him the tension building in me spiked and I could feel my temper starting to rear its infamously, ugly head.
"RYAN WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?" I yelled at him, jerking on my chained wrists in the process.
He sighed and brought his fingers up to pinch the bridge of his nose; closing his eyes. When he opened his eyes I could see a mixture of different emotions flit through then, but it was over before I could decipher their meaning. He suddenly transformed in front of me, I no longer recognized the guy that had been slowly tugging on my heart strings. His posture straightened out into one of a military stance, hands clasped behind his back. His eyes and facial features were all unreadable, dread pooled in my belly, as I recognized one of my own. A guardian.
"My name isn't Ryan." He looked at me expectantly, "It's John Schoenberg."
'Schoenberg, why did that sound so familiar?' I thought, and then the memory hit me like a freight train…. Arthur Schoenberg.

"Queen Tatiana, you can't honestly still think that he's not a trustworthy guardian." I spoke without thinking, and a small part of me cheered while most of me was scared that I had spoken out against her. She was after all still queen, whereas I'm just an understudy of sorts, not to mention how intimidating and ruthless she is.
"Vasilisa," Tatiana' calm but clipped tone let her know she had stepped over a boundary, "There are many out there who are still not convinced, this has never in our history happened before. Change frightens many, especially since it has been this way for so long. There is much I need to think upon. Our lessons are done for today." With a flick oh her hand in the direction of the door, she knew she was dismissed. Walking out of her office, I bumped right into Adrian.
