Guys. It has literally been almost 2 years since I updated this story. Holly shit. I actually kinda completely forgot about this story until I logged on to this fanfiction account a few days ago. Yesterday I reread the host and inspiration struck. I really have no clue where this fanfiction is going, but I don't see it being terribly long. I am a senior in high school now and I work two jobs so updates might not be horribly frequent but I do really want to finish this story. This chapter is basically just the aftermath of Ian's family. I didn't really edit it so don't mind any errors!

Kyle's POV

I sighed and stared at the confused faces of my father, mother, and brother. Mollie was still snuggled into my side, her eyes shining with tears.

"I don't know what to say, Kyle," My mom said. I could tell she was confused and the guilt was obvious on her face.

"I don't know what to think!" My dad exclaimed.

"I'll tell you what I think!" My brother, Ethan started, "I think that this is bullshit! This has to be some sort of sick joke. You're telling me that my little brother is shacking up with a fucking body-snatching worm. I guess you and Ian are pretty cozy with that thing, but don't expect us to accept it."

I heard a growling noise and it took me a minute to realize that it came from me. I almost felt sick to my stomach. At one point, that was me. I tried to kill Wanda and I told her that I wasn't even sorry about it.

"Oh, you are most definitely going to accept it," I growled at him, "Because not only was Wanda here long before you, but she's one of Uncle Jeb's favorites. You touch her, he will shoot you before you even realize you touched her. That is if Ian, Jared, Jamie and I don't get to you first. She is Ian's wife and she is pregnant. You will leave her alone."

"You would shoot one of your own for that thing."

"Wanda is one of us. You're the outsider right now," then as an afterthought I added, "Oh and don't call her a thing. Her name is Wanda. It bugs the fuck out of everyone in the caves when people call her a thing. Ian will fuck up your face if he hears you disrespect her. "

"Kyle, honey, you have to understand how strange this is," my mom pleaded with me. Her eyes were kind and I could tell she was dealing with an internal struggle.

"It may seem strange, but we've actually met other groups of humans and they pretty much all have souls that have gone native."

"Gone native," Mollie smiled, "I like that."

I smiled, "So do Wanda and Sunny."

"Can I meet her?" Mollie asked.

"I don't want you near that thing, Mollie!" Ethan announced.

"Oh will you knock it off! Guess what? Wanda has lived here for five years! Five! She is a functioning member of the society. She didn't want to be a parasite! We were selfish and put her in another body! WE DID! Not her, us! She is a mother and a great person. She would never hurt anyone. She can't help that she was born a soul, any more than you can help that you were born an asshole!"

"I don't care what you say Ethan. I'm going to meet Wanda. I like her."

"You haven't even met her?" my mom points out.

"Well, she has to be a saint to put up with Ian and Kyle, so I already like her."

I chuckled, "Wanda would love to meet you. She'd love you."

Wanda's POV

I was sitting on my and Ian's mattress looking at the new bruises that were starting to appear on my arm. I felt like an idiot. I let my pregnancy hormones and my irritation with Ian overpower my common sense and stormed into Doc's office without even thinking that there would be people there. People that would be terrified of who I am. I put my babies in danger. I can't believe myself.

Of course, I would have never expected them to be Ian's family. I mean once we learned how to do the separation, everyone went searching for their family. Unfortunately, they were extremely difficult to find and that ones that were found seldom came back to claim their bodies.

I wonder what would happen now. Ian's family were back, but they hated me. My husband's family hate me. They wanted to kill me. I'm pregnant, quite obviously so. I know that humans were terrified of souls, but to harm a pregnant women? I'm being unreasonable. Of course they tried to harm me. They were afraid! Terrified even. They don't know any better. The men were just trying to protect their family from something that they were taught to view as monsters. I knew that I would never hurt them, but they didn't know that.

But the bruises still hurt and I was still sick with worry about my babies. I know that I should have Doc do another ultrasound, but I can't go when the O'Shea family is still there. I lifted my shirt and tried to crink my head to see if there was a bruise forming on my back. I heard a gasp. I whipped around to see Ian standing in the door way, his blue eyes dark.

"Ian…" I started as he started over to me. His fingers gently ran over my back, tracing the marks I assumed.

"I going to fucking murder them," His voice was soft, but lethal. The venom was obvious.

"Ian, they didn't mean to. They didn't know."

He closed his eyes. His hands were clenched in fists and all of his muscles were tense. I tried rubbing his back and comforting him.

"Ian, baby. There's no way they could have known. I mean you sister did, but that's incredibly rare. You know how hard it is to try and convince people. I'm fine. Once they're out and about, we can go to Doc's office and get the babies checked out. Doc said that they will be fine. I'm fine. The babies are fine. It's fine."

Ian started sobbing. It was worse than the anger. Ian doesn't cry often and when he does I don't know how to handle it. I settled for wrapping my arms around him and pressing kisses into his back. I don't know how long that I held him, but eventually his sobs slowed down. His breathing was labored and when he opened his eyes, they were full of tears.

"I'm supposed to protect you," he muttered looking at the ground.

"You do Ian!"

He shook his head, "I couldn't even protect you from my family! My own family! I was so excited for them to meet you. I couldn't believe that we found them… and then this happens. I wish we only found Mollie. Maybe my mom, but the way my dad and Ethan-"

"Ian! They reacted the normal way! I-"

"Hey guys, Aves and Damian are playing wedding and I thought I should get you guys!" Our heads snapped to the door to see Mel with a smile on her face. A smile that immediately fell once she took in the situation.

"What happened?" She asked, suddenly serious. Ian refused to meet her eyes. Mel's eyes fluttered to the yellowish bruises on my arm.

"The new humans?" she questioned quietly. I nodded. Ian scoffed.

"The new humans," he sighed, shaking his head. I wiped his eyes.

"They're Ian's family."

"Ian's family? what?" Melanie was in shock, "What happened?"

"On the raid, we found my parents and my brother and sister. Who decided to attack my pregnant wife," Ian muttered. A look of realization crossed my best friend's face.

"Oh Ian," She sighed, "It's not your fault."

"That's what I told him," I said.

"Ian. I know how much you love Wanda. But you love your family too. It's been a while since we've meet someone who didn't have a native soul themselves. We are used to worrying about Wanda only to have people not mind so much, or for people to be skeptical, but accept it fairly soon. Your family wasn't in a resistance group. They don't have a soul in their group. They don't know Ian. They are terrified of souls, because that's all they know. They'll come around. If I remember, most of the people in the caves, who love the ever-living crap out of Wanda, weren't too keen on us at first."

The pointed look at Ian was Mel trying to remind him of what he did to me when I had first arrived in Mel's body. He sighed.

"You're right. I need to talk to them."

"You don't need to go right now, Ian. Come to Damien and Avery's pretend wedding," Mel told us.

Ian shook his head, "I want Wanda to get looked at."

"I'll be fine Ian. In fact it would make me so happy," I reassured him, "And besides, you should walk your little girl down the aisle."

Ian chuckled, "I suppose a few minutes won't hurt."

We followed Mel down the hall and towards the game room where the "wedding" was taking place.

"Shit." I heard Ian mutter. I looked up and of course, coming right towards us was Ian's family. Ian moved to stand in front of me as Mel glared at Ethan and Mr. O'Shea. Mollie ran towards to me wrapped her arms around me. Well as far as they could go with my giant stomach. She was muttering "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!" as I was trying to assure her that I was fine.

Mel stormed up to Ian's dad and Ethan, "I don't take kindly to assholes hurting my best friend. Especially when she's pregnant. She lived in my head and I know her better than anyone. I will tell her that she is the best person I know. I loved her when I had to sacrifice my body to her and I would rather be a prisoner in my own mind than be without her. So if anyone even gets to have a problem with Wanda, It's me. And I have no problem. So treat her how she deserves or our Uncle Jeb will shoot you in the face. Got it?"

Ian's parents looked floored. Ethan was staring at the floor, refusing to meet anyone's eye.

"We're sorry Wanda," Ian's mom began, "I think that we are all just a little confused and it will probably take a while to get used to this but-"

She was cut off by the sound of bare feet slapping against rock. I turned around to see a flash of blonde curls with a toilet paper veil carrying a weed and leaf bouquet.

"DADDY!"

I hope you guys liked it! I'll really try to update ASAP! Please review!
