I AM HORRIBLE! I am so so so so so so SO sorry you guys! I know I know! I promised more but I got so horribly busy after my trip and this should have been posted ages ago and i should have finished writing this whole thing so long ago the only reason I had is that Katelyn got married to David so it all felt wrong but I need to continue the story even if it did end with someone else getting the girl. Anyways this is for Kendall and Katelyn's birthday! So exciting but feels so weird considering last they saw each other she was marrying David. Anyways I hope you all enjoy! Sorry again! -xoxo Tak

For the next few weeks they had been filming a lot. One of Katelyn's favorite episodes to film was the third one where the network rented out a whole carnival just for their use. She came to work that day and was beyond excited to film in it. No one but the crew had known that it was going to be set up for the episode.

"Did you see?" Katelyn asked Erin excitedly as she walked inside.

"How could I not?" Erin replied back, elated. Both girls squealed a little before running to hair and make up.

All day Katelyn waited excitedly for the carnival. She wanted to do those scenes the most.

"Calm down Kate, you're going to make us have to stay longer." Kendall told the bouncing blonde who couldn't seem to contain her excitement, as time grew closer to filming on the fair.

"Do you know how excited I am? I haven't been to a real carnival in years!" She said to him while they waited at the park for the cameras to adjust.

Kendall chuckled. She was truly a kid at heart. They went back to the scene and he couldn't help but want to do and re-do every scene he had with her that day. The amount of energy she brought that day reminded him of the bubbly blonde he had first met in auditions.

When time came at last for the carnival, they were told that it would take them all night to film if they were to get all of the parts in one go, so while the guys filmed their music video for "Boyfriend" Erin and Katelyn retired to their respective dressing rooms. Erin had set up a Ustream for her Twitter fans to answer some fan questions. A few cast members went in and out, answering questions including Katelyn, Kendall, and Logan. They didn't stay long though, having to leave to go film.

"You ready to ride this?" Katelyn asked Kendall as they sat on one of the rides known as the Cyclone.

"Hell yeah!" He replied with a smug smirk on his face that made her role his eyes. As everyone got into positions, they began the ride.

Scott had given each of them specific instructions to their storyline and Kendall was slightly nervous. He still felt like he was walking on eggshells when it came to all the romantic stuff he did with her on the show. He had no reason to though since they both agreed that none of it affects their friendship but that's just what he had to say if he wanted to keep her as his friend. Things were also more awkward when David would be on set. Kendall felt like a total dick whenever he saw David. Mostly because he was sure that if David knew what he and Katelyn had done plus Kendall's proclamation of love to his girlfriend, David would either murder Kendall or leave Katelyn. And Kendall wasn't about to let her be brokenhearted because of him especially because it would not help his case.

But when the scene started and the cameras rolled, he was supposed to forget all of that, and he did. He always did, because he wanted this to be his reality. He wanted to wrap his arm around Katelyn as the whole world watched them be the greatest romance in all of history. He wanted to have her duck her head in his chest with laughter every time she felt happy. He wanted this cyclone of a plot line to be his everyday story. But he had to settle for just pretend.

The song played and he hummed as the ride went off. Katelyn's hips kept hitting Kendall's, making her laugh with shear enjoyment.

"Why do you keep laughing every time the ride jerks us?" He asked finally when they slowed the ride down.

"Because it's funny. I keep hitting you and you don't even flinch." She said. "Do you even feel it?"

Kendall hadn't even been paying attention to the hitting. He was so consumed in the symphony of her laugh that it didn't even occur to him that her hipbone kept pounding into his. He could feel a small tingle in his hip but for the most part he couldn't feel a thing. He shook his head and that made her laugh even more. He bit his lip a little trying to suppress a grin from seeing her so happy from something so ridiculous and small. It made him equally as happy.

During filming, they'd both break character to laugh at each other's jokes. The director didn't mind because they were so naturally cute together that they just seemed like a couple even when they were just being friends. Though there were moments where he'd have to tell them to get closer and not be afraid to touch one another a bit more. At one point though some of their natural mannerisms were so perfect that no amount of scripted directions could give that same effect.

When they sat up on the ferris wheel Kendall wrapped his arm around Katelyn because she had started to shiver while the ride was stopped and they were waiting to be let off. The director noticed and continued filming even though Kendall and Katelyn were well out of character, but the moment was so naturally perfect that it needed to be caught on camera.

"Thanks Kendall." Katelyn said as she scooted in closer to his body. He was so warm and it made her insanely jealous that he could keep himself warm. "How do you do it?"

"Do what?" He asked.

"Keep yourself at the perfect temperature!" She said as if it were obvious what she had meant.

"I guess I just got the fire when need be." He joked making a sizzling sound touching his own skin.

"How can you be so adorable and so obnoxious at the same time?" She asked.

"It's one of my many talents." He replied with a cool look and an eyebrow raise.

Katelyn rolled her eyes. Thankfully for her the car they were in was being lowered to let them off. As much as it felt nice getting to talk to Kendall as her friend again, she was beginning to feel a little too comfortable under his arm and was afraid if they stayed like that any longer she'd not be able to leave his warm side all night. And that scared her how easy it was to fall into his arms and not think twice of it. She knew it would just create more trouble so she tried to ease out from under him as the car stopped.

Kendall wished the car had stayed where it was for just a few moments longer. The truth was he was only warm because she was so close to him again and it always made his insides heat up and his body fluster with anxiety and butterflies. He didn't know how he managed to keep so calm and cool all day. He just wanted to kiss her every moment he could. And not the kisses that were planned and stage, no he wanted to pull her in his arms and kiss her just for the hell of it. But he knew he couldn't. He had to move on and let her go. And he was determined to.
