Lucy POV

Every Dragon Slayer was simply shocked. I had their parents in my possession and didn't say anything until now. I expected- no, wanted them to be angry with me, not confused. I didn't want them to be overjoyed that they'd see their parents again. I wanted them to be sad that their parents were dead. For fourteen years, their parents have been dead. I kept that from them for so long…I've had their keys for almost six years now, and I never told them, not like I could tell anyone other than Sting and Rogue.

Laxus cleared his throat before clapping a hand on my shoulder. "This is not the time for joyous reunions, people. This. Is. War. And our enemy is powerful and dark. We have to keep level heads. You're dragons are spirits contracted to Lucy. They are not alive in the sense you want them to. You have to acknowledge that your dragons are dead."

Gajeel was holding Wendy by the shoulders as she tried to control her tears. "Grandeeney is… dead?"

I always had a soft spot for Wendy, so I pulled her from Gajeel and kneeled in front of her. "Listen, sweet pea, she's not dead, she's just taken on a different form. She's still your mamma." I tried to be as reassuring as I could. It had worked because she flung herself into my arms and cried her little eyes out.

"C-c-could you show me?" She asked quietly. I knew I had to; it was the only way she'd keep herself together when we had to fight. I gave her a small nod and plucked Grandeeney's key of my second key ring. It was a brilliant white silver.

"Open! Gate of the Sky Dragon, Grandeeney!" I called in my strongest voice. In a white puff of smoke, a woman with long silver that ended just below her waist. She had voluptuous curves that were clearly shown off by the white scale dress she was wearing. "Ohayo, Grandeeney." I said meekly. The woman/dragon didn't scare me. She was just stunningly beautiful and she was powerful. She deserved the awe and respect she was getting from the others.

"M-Mommy?" Wendy stuttered quietly.

Grandeeney smiled at her little daughter. "You look so grown up, Wendy. You've become so strong and you found a guild that will have your back. I'm so proud of you, Wendy." Grandeeney opened her arms to her daughter as a tear slipped down her cheek. Wendy rushed into her. "Who would have guessed you would still be this short when your nineteen." She laughed sadly. "I'm sorry, my child. I'm so sorry I left you. If I had a choice I would have stayed and so would have the others. We loved you all so very much. Even Acnologia had a soft spot for his slayer."

"Grandeeney." I said curtly.

"Right." She turned back to Wendy, holding her at arms length. She kissed her daughter's forehead before smiling at her. "I look forward to seeing you win this, Wendy. You will win if you have something to be fighting for."

"What do you mean? If I have something to be fighting for? What is it?"

As Grandeeney began to shimmer away back to the Celestial World, she patted Wendy's head. "What lies in your heart will tell you."

Wendy fell to her knees and sobbed, eventually being cradled by Lucy as a train pulled into the station, carrying a large amount of people. We all looked up and watched as Sabertooth, Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, and Blue Pegasus disembarked and headed over to us.

"Master!" I said and greeted him with a confused smile. "What are you doing here?"

Master Makarov let out a hearty chuckle. "You didn't think we would very well let you guys fight this out on your own, did you? We're Fairy Tail. We fight together."

"A guild that fights and destroys together stays together. Isn't that right Master?" Macao said to me as he rested his arm on my shoulder.

Wakaba mimicked his actions on my other one. "I do believe that's how you kept the guild together, Master."

Laxus growled at them. "Hands off my woman!" He possessively took me into his arm, holding me close.

We laughed and begun to rally everyone into the trains, heading for where Natsu and the others were. I sat in a compartment filled with Laxus (who is not barfing due to Grandeeney's Troia), Master Mavis, and Master Makarov. Makarov was listening intently as Mavis and I were running tactics. We both agreed that Zeref would not ignore the large mass of wizards heading for him.

Mavis quietly took my hand after both Laxus and Makarov had fallen asleep. Lucy, you need to tell Laxus of the possibility. Mavis said to me telepathically, not risking waking up the boys.

That's not an option, First. It's not my fault the memories only returned a few years ago. It's not like I can wield it all that well either. I'm not going to use it, so it's not a problem. I replied.

It is a problem when you're valuable to the other side. We both know they won't kill you, they'll use you.

I know, and I won't let it happen.

Mavis sighed before giving me a small smile and squeezing my hand in a form of reassurance. "Be careful. You know the plan. Execute it flawlessly like the Fairy you are." She stood up and left to go check on the other members of Fairy Tail.

I won't fall out of the light for I am a Fairy.
