Lucy POV

We were all in the station of a ghost town. There were half decomposed bodies littered all over the place and to say the very least, this smell was absolutely rancid for a tourist spot know for their ski lodges. I looked back to see Romeo and Wendy holding hands tightly at the sight. Gajeel was right behind them with Levy, watching out for any danger that could harm either of the girls he put in his charge and knowing Romeo, despite his experience with magic, would back him up. I had noticed that Gajeel has grown fond of Wendy, calming her during this whole ordeal. He's matured. I smiled softly at the group before turning to see Jackal and Mavis talking quietly. Straining to hear, I followed their conversation.

"So, you created this guild before you met grandfather?" Jackal said with awe in his voice.

Mavis nodded. "Yes, child. I'm happy to see that my grandchildren have followed in my footsteps rather than your grandfather's. Layla did her best in raising you."

I smiled at her words. "Thanks, first." I whispered, not wanting to be disrespectful.

Laxus squeezed my hand and grabbed my attention. "Are you going to be okay? With fight Zeref, I mean?"

I frowned. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?"

"It was just two days ago when you went Dark Side." He pointed out. "I don't want to lose you."

"I'm strongest with you by my side, Laxus. With you, I can take down Zeref." I said, looking at the corpse lined streets. "Besides, I've lived a fulfilling life up until now, if I die, I won't regret it, but I will fight to live, because I have people who need me here."

"Don't talk like that." Laxus said quietly as he stepped over the bloody body of a child with a frown on his face. "I haven't had a fulfilling life yet, and I sure as hell am not going to have one without you."

"Laxus…"

"Besides, do you want to die a virgin?" He frowned.

I cheeks flared up. "This is not the time, Laxus!" I smacked him in the back of the head.

He let out a small laugh. "Right."

Slowly, shouts and gasps filled the area as the corpses rose to their feet.

Sting let out a frustrated growl. "You have GOT to be kidding me. Fucking zombies? Can he be any less cliché?!"

"Sting! Watch your damn mouth!" I yelled as I swiftly kicked a "zombie" in the chest.

"Aim for the heads!" Gajeel shouted as he drove his Iron Dragon Sword into their heads. "You gotta destroy the brain!"

We all let out shouts that we heard him and began our attack. I summoned Sagitarius to put arrows between their eyes as we took out the others. Once we were finished, his voice filled my head.

Don't you see, Lucy? You just massacred several innocent people without a second thought. Your true nature has been revealed and you and I both know you can't stop it.

"Shut up, you son of a bitch." I said as I clutched my forehead in pain. I was used to him giving me headaches when I was rude, but this was more intense than it had ever been. I dropped to my knees and let out a small whimper in pain.

You didn't hold up your end of our little deal, Lucy. Perhaps I should kill one of your boys. Shall it be one of the blonde ones or maybe the silent one, hm?

"Don't you lay a finger on my family!" I shouted, drawing the attention of everyone. Lyon and Chelia were the ones closest to me so they went and kneeled next to me. Chelia instantly started healing the headache caused by Zeref.

It took a few minutes before I was back to normal and I instantly scanned the area for Sting, Rogue, and Laxus. Once I found all three did I let my tense muscles relax. I called them all to me and I wrapped my arms around each of them. "I'm glad you're all safe." I hugged Laxus the longest, seeking his comfort the most.

"He tried to get to you again, didn't he?" Laxus said with a scowl on his face. "I'm gonna skin the bastard alive and fry him into a tasty meal for the hell hounds I'm gonna release!"

"Guys! We have company!" Gray shouted pointed at the several figures approaching us.

There were eight of them, face both me and Jackal recognized. From the far left to the right it was Sayla, Silver Tempesta, Kyouka, Franmalth, Torafusa, Ezel, and lastly Keith. Kyouka smiled at us.

"Well, well, well. It seems that Master Zeref has guests." She sneered. "Hand over the girl willingly and we won't have to destroy you just yet. And hand over Jackal while you're at it."

I frowned. "Then I guess you going to have to destroy us." I fell into a battle stance as I readied myself for an attack.

"Sayla, you may have your way." Kyouka smirked and my eyes widened.

Sayla nodded and smiled. "You remember my curse very well, don't you, Mokushi?"

I let out a dragon like growl. "Don't you dare…"

Kyouka howled in laughter. "Or what? You're gonna go all celestial princess on us? Oh we're so scared. Yeah, Master Zeref has told us everything. You think you're on the good side, your spirits call you 'princess', and you've summoned the Spirit King. Of course those are only the good things."

"Shut your damn mouth, Kyouka." Jackal growled.

"Oh, you too? Let's talk about all the things you've done to 'innocents'." Kyouka strode over to us, stopping a few feet in front of us. "Sayla, now would be a wonderful time."

"No!" I shouted.

"Hand them over." Sayla commanded with a sneer that easily matched Kyouka's a few minutes ago, pure evil.

Laxus grabbed me by my arms and shoved me towards them. "What's going on, Lucy? Why can't I control myself?"

I grit my teeth and dug my heels into the ground doing everything I could to stop him from dragging me further. "That's her curse. She can control you. I think the only one she can't control is Mira." I said slowly. "MIRA! GET EVERYONE OUT OF HERE! EVEN IF IT HAS TO BE BY FORCE!"

"You got it, Lucy!" I heard her yell and start ushering people out of the area.

"I'm not leaving you here!" Laxus shouted as he dropped me into Tempesta's grasp.

"Yes, you are! I can handle this!"

"Shut the hell up, girl." Tempesta covered my mouth with his hand and began to walk to the castle sitting in the centre of the town. I heard them take Jackal with us. I felt my stomach plummet. This is going to be hell.
