Dipper's going to flip!
I turned to look at Dip.
His mouth was open, and he looked like a million questions were swarming around his head. He opened his mouth, then hesitated. What's wrong?
He looked at me, and I could see the betrayal in his eyes. Oh no... Did I make him do that? Is he all sad because I trusted Stan more than him? There's a good explanation for it, I swear!
See, I was holding that switch. There was Dipper, yelling at me to shut it down before it explodes and destroys the world. Then there's Stan, telling me to keep it open. I was nearly listening to Dipper, ready to shut it down. That's when Stan said,
"Do you trust me?"
My mind went back to all the times I did. From little things like blindfolding Dipper and I and driving us around, to admitting he knew all the paranormal stuff that was going on... Then there was my brother. I had trusted and depend on him all my life, and he did the same. We were twins. We had a twin trust. Did I just break it?
I remember the fear as the clock went down and the decision buzzing like butterflies in my head. Finally, a bit of realization or something hit me. I trusted Stan. And if Stan wanted to keep the portal thingy open, then I would.
I'm sorry. Dipper.
I understand if you can't forgive me for that.
*cries* Poor Mabel! She had to make such a tough choice! This little thingie I just wrote can't nearly cover what must have been going through her head! Still, the author's here now, so it's pretty cool. For now. I just hope Dip and Mabel make up. That photo shattering is a good foreshadow for what's to come.
