"You and your partner today will be brewing a Draught of Peace; whichever group prepares it properly will be able to keep it for themselves." Professor Snape said as he paced in front of the classroom, "Open your books to page 423, there will be your recipe. Do not ask for help, I want to see who is able to make it by themselves. If you so desire, you may work by yourself. Begin."

Katya turned to Draco, huffing. "This will be a blast."

"Hey you've got me, what could possibly go wrong?" Draco said smirking.

"Everything." She grumbled and he looked at her with mock hurt. She laughed at him, "Let's get started." She leaned over the table looking at the page, "We will need…" Draco zoned out looking at Katya's fit body bent over the table. He gulped. Katya looked up staring at him, "Did you hear a word I just said?"

"Uh…"

Katya laughed, "Just got get me some moonstone powder, syrup of 'ellebore, powdered porcupine quills and powdered unicorn horn." Draco came back with the ingredients in his hands—setting it on the table he looked into the book. She stirred the potion and he added some powdered moonstone, the potion turning green and then blue. He added more of the moonstone and it turned a lovely color of purple before fading into a pink.

"'ere stir this for me." Katya said and Draco took the ladle while she slowly poured the syrup into the potion stopping when it turned turquoise. "We add this next, right?" Katya asked picking up the porcupine quills.

"We have to wait until it turns purple again." Draco said.

Rolling her eyes she replied, "I know but we might as well prepare them." Katya grabbed the quills and put them into a container shaking it. He watched as she shook the container, feeling himself get hard—he really needed to get his mind out of the gutter, Draco thought to himself looking away. He looked back at her and saw she was still doing it.

"Here switch with me." Draco said handing the ladle to Katya who stopped shaking.

"Why?" Katya asked confused.

"I don't want you…to…tire out your arm." Draco said trying to come up with an excuse.

"Uh, uh sure." Katya said taking the ladle from him, "Whatever you say." She replied not believing a word he just said. "It turned purple."

Draco shook the now powdered porcupine quills into the brew, it bubbling a bright red. Katya stirred the brew it turned orange and Draco added more of the powdered quills. It turned turquoise allowing the potion to simmer it turned purple. Katya added powdered unicorn horn and turned a bright bubble gum pink, Draco stirred until the potion turned red. Taking the ladle out of the potion, the two allowed it to simmer before it turned purple and then they added more powdered moonstone, turning it into a nasty grey color.

The potion simmered for a good long time before it turned back into an orange color, Katya added more powdered porcupine quills—the brew turning white. It was done. They took it off the heat and allowed it to cool. A silvery vapor emitted from the potion.

Professor Snape walked up to them, looking down at the potion. "Brewed perfectly, this is what I expect from you Draco. Split it up evenly and you both can keep it. You will need it for your O.W.L. Exams."

He walked away looking at the classes cauldrons, he called many a student out for failing at brewing it properly, including Seamus Finnigan who had been paired with Neville Longbottom, Crabbe and Goyle's but he was most displeased with Harry and Ron's he dumped out their caldron and gave them both a zero for missing one ingredient—syrup of hellebore.

Their class was dismissed, Faustine walking up to the two. "'ow did you do?" Katya asked as she put her book into her backpack.

"Almost perfect, add a bit to many porcupine quills at the end." Faustine shrugged, she looped her arm in Katya's, Draco looking at them in confusion. "You've been 'ogging her all to yourself. It's my turn now." Draco laughed placing a kiss on Katya's cheek before turning and leaving.

"So did you get asked to the Yule Ball?" She asked Faustine.

"Not yet," Faustine pouted before Ron walked up to the two of them.

"May I have a moment?" Ron asked Faustine who raised her eyebrow at Katya before walking away with him. Harry walked up to her, frowning.

"Are you okay, 'arry?" Katya asked and Harry looked up at her and then looked at Ron smiling.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Harry replied, "I saw you and Draco made it perfectly."

Katya blushed for some reason, "Yeah we did."

"I don't understand." Harry said, "He usually is such a…I don't even know. But when I see him around you—he is completely different."

She looked up at him in surprise, "What do you mean?"

"He hates me but I'm surprised that he doesn't try to restrict you being my friend." Harry said.

"'e 'ates a lot of people and some of them I don't understand why." Katya replied.

"You do know that he has a strong belief in blood purity, don't you?" Katya looked at him in shock. "You didn't know…" She shook her head, "I'm sorry I thought you would have known."

"It's fine. It's something that I needed to know." Katya said frowning at the news. Faustine walked back up to her beaming. "What put you in such a good mood?"

"I just got asked to the Yule Ball!" Faustine squealed unable to keep the excitement out of her voice. "What's wrong with you?" She asked noticing her best friends frowning face.

"Bye, 'arry," Katya said before turning towards her friend, "I just found out that Draco has a strong belief in blood purity." She noticed Faustine's frowning face, "But we don't need to think about that right now. 'ow did he ask you?" They walked out of potions class, Katya half paying attention to Faustine and the other part of her mind thinking of the disturbing thing she had just found out about him.
